We saw a TikTok about this place and their taco sundays and have been dying to try it. We were finally able to stop by this past Sunday and a few things to note. I wouldn't recommend coming during or around game time on Sundays as it was absolutely packed and parking was a little rough. We were able to park across the street though, so it worked out. They will ID you to get in so make sure you bring that with you. As for the food, I tried both of the quesotacos that were offered on that day (carnitas and barbacoa) and my wife has the brisket sandwich, and we both had sides of mac and cheese. There wasn't any seating so we took our food back to our car which was fine with us. The tacos were great, the carnitas one was my favorite. My wife said the brisket sandwich was really good and the meat was really tender. When we ordered the brisket sandwich we asked about the different sauces and if any of them were spicy the guy working the window told us not really and said they just automatically put their big red sauce on there. My family and I came here for a cute day trip and had a fantastic time! No indoor seating because it's in a food truck park but the outside seating is great and plentiful. It's hot in Texas but this food just reminded me what it means to be a Texan, hot and hungry with my family they pigged out on some brisket and smoked Mac. The meat was chewy and lacked flavor - I was expecting moist brisket. Secondly, we ordered online so they packed it to-go. We ended up eating onsite and noticed they gave us 1 LINK of cheddar sausage instead of 1 POUND of cheddar sausage. Thankfully we checked. I had to ask for plates, napkins, forks, extra sauce. Our order was $100+ and it came with two sauces - I would expect more preparation for high dollar value orders. Anyway, it's a convenient option but it did not meet expectations. read more

We were so hungry I wasn't able to take pictures. The line was short and it maybe took 10 minutes to prepare. The pulled pork was delicious! I really liked it with the bbq sauce. I also ordered mac n cheese, also delicious. The potato salad was very Mayo based with large chunks of potatoes. It was ok but too much Mayo for me. We also had the banana pudding. Great little BBQ place in East Austin. It's a food truck in Arbor Food Park. There is a parking lot, not huge but big enough you likely won't have an issue trying to park, and if you do, there is plenty of street parking. I ordered a brisket sandwich - brisket was moist and flavorful, and I loved the sauce. My only complaints are: a lot of the pieces of brisket were cut way too thick, so some of the bites were incredibly dry - very weird, for the brisket to be so moist it's glistening, and yet get a dry mouthful of meat. But other bites, with thinner pieces and more bark, were excellent. My one other complaint is it's a little expensive. It's $12 for a regular sandwich, and $15 for a jumbo - sounds reasonable enough, but the jumbo sandwich wasn't as big as expected, for that price I expected more - not more meat piled on, it had enough meat for the bun size. But a jumbo should have been a bigger bun, with correspondingly more meat. Really the 'jumbo' is the size a $12 'regular' sandwich should have been. Really I'd like to give this 3.5 stars - it needs a few tweaks to truly be 4 stars. But 3 stars didn't seem fair, it's better than that, so I went with 4. read more

We came for the authentic brisket that ATX is known for. This charming food truck park is where you can roll up to Rollin Smoke BBQ. The photos online look delicious however they were out of a ton of items on a Sunday evening. Maybe because it was the SXSW crowd that ate up all the food? At act rate I ordered the brisket sandwich, smoked Mac & Cheese and spicy slaw. Drinks are written on the smallest handwritten note on the side of the truck - sodas and water. The sandwich is served on a bun and stuffed with lots of meat and a few pickles. We took a seat in the community picnic tables that's for all the surrounding food trucks. It was still day light however it's Spring and the local birds were just having a go at trying to get BBQ too. They were flying and darting by our heads and off course droppings hit the table! It was a little scary to try to cover your food, yet enjoy it, relax outdoors and savor the meal. I pretty much gobbled it up (spitting out some fat) and left. The slaw wasn't what I'd call spicy - it was decent. Mac was cool but I've had better. Enjoyed the sandwich but this was more like lunch then dinner. We were in Austin for a night and we knew barbecue had to be on the menu, so Rollin Smoke it was! We got the Playboy sandwich, with a side of mac n cheese. Prices have increased due to COVID, but they were still pretty reasonable! Portions however, were massive. The sandwich we had was absolutely loaded with meat. Sausage was good, brisket was good, and I think the other meat was pulled pork. Only thing I wished it had was just a little bit more BBQ sauce, but other than that - pretty good! The chicken was solid, the brisket was tasty but not at the level of the top tier of Austin, and the ribs were disappointing. I got an end piece and it was soooo dry and tough. They really shouldn't even sell that piece. The other two ribs were good, but again, not compared to the big boys. Sausages were meh The star of the show was the pork belly burnt ends. Amazing. Between the 105 degree heat and most bbq places being closed on Mondays, I realized that my trip to Austin might end without any bbq. To rectify such blasphemy, I saw that Rollin Smoke was one of the few locations that would be open on the later side on Sunday and I purchased some brisket and pork belly. They were out of ribs unfortunately. The brisket was perfect - tender and a little fatty but not too much. The pork belly was also delicious. I really wanted a Sunday taco but I wasn't actually hungry and we had dinner reservations in 2 hours. I tried a little bit just to sample it fresh and it was hard to stop. Even though I ate the rest of it as reheated leftovers it was still delicious. I tried the smoked cookie and it was good but the peanut butter, miso, and smoke all together were pretty subtle so I wouldn't get that again. read more

This will be my first review since I moved from Austin but since I'm here on vacation, I absolutely had to stop at Rollin Smoke. I've tried all of the popular bbq spots in Austin but seriously nothing compares to Rollin Smoke. The seasonings that they use for the meats AND sides are just phenomenal. For $31 I was able to get a 1/3 pound of brisket, one link, 1/4 pound ribs, a side of Mac & cheese & potato salad (and they also threw in a banana pudding-- I don't even eat banana pudding but it was so good I ate the ENTIRE thing lol!). Honestly such a steal in my opinion. The guys that work there are always so exceptionally nice, welcoming, and helpful. Any time I'm in Austin I'll be here. Rollin Smoke definitely needs way more attention because they really craft amazing bbq. I wish I had one where I live now! I wish nothing but success for Rollin Smoke's near future! read more
