The food truck is parked in front of a bar. You can eat inside or eat outside. You order and get your food at thr food truck. I do like the concept businesses helping each other. We ended up ordering drinks. The brisket was super good, the sausage and ribs. I got the boudin sausage and it wad okay. I wasn't thrilled about it. The sides is okay, nothing special. The many times that I have been in the area, I have never noticed Brown's BBQ but now they definitely have my attention. My lite afternoon snack was the 3-meat plate, Moist Beef Brisket, Pork Rib, and Sausage with sides of Cabbage and Green Beans. The brisket had a beautiful smoke ring and the bark was perfect. The pork rib had a nice rub where no barbecue sauce was needed. Last but not least, the sausage casing had a nice snap to it and the filling was coarse, the way I like it. The braised cabbage was well seasoned to my satisfaction. Although Brown's BBQ shares the same address with the Corner Bar, they are separate businesses however, if one orders to eat-in, the delectable delights can be savored outside at the picnic tables or inside of the Corner Bar where beverages with authority are served, for digestive purposes. Good bbq, friendly service! My husband and I are eating a lot of bbq while we're both doing a keto diet. This week we tried Brown's bbq. My husband had tried it before a long time ago, and he says I did too, but I'm pretty sure I had food from the truck next to it, Kiin Di, while he had bbq. We got our standard order, brisket, turkey, and chicken by the pound, quarter pound each. My favorite was the chicken, because it was juicy, and texture is major for me. My husband thought the brisket was his favorite. We both thought the turkey was ok, but a little dry. Fortunately, some of the turkey pieces I got to in the end were a little juicier, so that redeemed it. We considered going back to order a bit more, but couldn't decide on what. Once we decided on sausage, we discovered it was sold out, so that was our sign to stick with our first order. We ate on the bar patio even though it was really hot and humid. We could have taken the food inside, but we felt awkward doing that since we weren't drinking. Brown's trailer sits right in front of the Corner Bar, hard off of South Lamar. On an early weekday evening, parking was a breeze, and there was minimal order-to-chow-down time. I ordered the brisket sandwich with beans and potato salad sides. The sandwich arrived with plain ole white bread, making the brisket king. The brisket was beautifully smoked, tender but not mushy (which is a big no-no). The sides were good, but the BBQ meat is why you eat here. Others have mentioned that their BBQ sauce is 5-star worthy. I usually do not smother my BBQ with sauce, but Brown's sauce is excellent. I even added it to my beans and potato salad. Brown's BBQ is fine. It's a place I could stop by on a regular basis for some bbq. The meat is clearly seasoned, but I'm just not getting that deep grill or smoked BBQ flavor I'm looking for. I had the ribs and sausage, solid, but not a big BBQ punch. The brisket was pretty good. I got more of that bbq flavor with the brisket. What really stood out was the boudain link. Super flavorful with just the right amount of spice. It's the best I have had in Austin so far. The potato salad had good flavor, but the texture was a little too mushy for my taste. The beans were good. Well seasoned with a good flavor. They were sold out of chicken, which honestly makes me curious enough to come back and try it. Not a bad spot. Listen, don't write off food truck barbecue!!! We got here after a long drive into Austin, desperate to eat barbecue but not eager to stand in long lines to eat it. After having over an hour in the car to sift through reviews, we settled on Brown's. It's nestled in the parking lot of the Corner Bar. Lots of outside seating on picnic tables (in the shade.) Brisket was tender (not fatty! Thank god!!!) and coleslaw was SO good. The pulled pork and turkey were also amazing. The sides of onions, pickles and jalapeño along with slices of bread were great. My in laws were in town from Chicago and wanted to try some Texas BBQ. We drove by Terry Blacks and it was too packed so we redirected to Browns and we are so glad we did. The service was fast and all the food was incredible. There wasn't a single item that we got that I wouldn't give 5 stars. We ordered Turkey, brisket, beans, slaw, and potato salad and it was all delicious. I still go here at least twice a month for the past 10 years. I have tried everything on menu since review, everything is great! BEST BRISKET AROUND!!! I heard all their other food is great too, but I can't go there without eating the Brisket!!! Before I found this place I drove to the other towns around here because of how famous they are for they're BBQ places. No need for all that, Browns is the best!!! Wow, I can't believe I have never been here previously. Browns BBQ is a family owned buisness and been in ATX for 12 years now. The have incredibly friendly and fast service. The ambiance is nice and chill and you can eat your food in the outdoor area or in the neighboring bar. The food was fantastic. I couldn't believe how much brisket you get for the price when you order the wrap. The brisket was incredibly tender and well seasoned and the pulled pork was just as amazing. The side of corn was cooked perfect with some spice seasoning. This is a fantastic meal and highly recommend anyone who loves brisket to come visit. This place is amazing. I flew into Austin at 2pm on a Tuesday so the famous spots were mostly closed. I'm glad that was the case because after doing research I discovered that Brown's has some of the best brisket. After trying a few spots I was hoping for some serious tender meat. I ordered the brisket with green beans and coleslaw. They only gave me a fork so before asking for a knife I tested the brisket, and sure enough, no knife was needed. I was able to cut through it with a plastic fork. Mind you, there was still a good bite to the meat, it was basically the perfect consistency. There was a quarter inch or so layer of fat that was super soft and juicy to make the meat even more elevated. Top it all off with their sweet mustard based sauce, so smooth, the meal was insane. Since I'm not in town for long I went back for seconds after my brisket and ordered two slices of turkey and a side of Mac n cheese. The turkey was unreal. Really juicy, tender, and flavorful. So easy to eat. The Mac n cheese was good but not the once a year super cheesy and creamy Mac and cheese you'll have at thanksgiving. My bar is super high on Mac and cheese. Theirs was plenty good. I usually don't even order Mac and cheese cuz it's heavy on carbs and most places just can't justify loading it up and baking it to get that crispy cheese layer on top. It's just not equitable. All in all this is five stars. Amazing they can continue to keep the quality at the highest levels after being around since 2012 (according to Yelp profile). Way to go guys!! read more

My boyfriend got brisket and ribs, I got a brisket wrap, and we chose four sides--slaw, green beans, the other beans, and macaroni and cheese. Doing a friend a favor, I flew a Citation to Austin and had several hours to kill... I asked the people at the NASA office where to get a bite to eat. Well, what was I looking for? Barbecue! Several people said "Brown's!" and offered directions. And, asked --since I was obviously going that way, would I mind... I'm partial to pigsickles -- and made a complete hawg of myself. The young cashier who rang up my order -- painstakingly compiled as eager office workers kindly offered their editorial services to make certain I was absolutely accurate (NASA, yanno?) -- said that I didn't seem to be from there and where had I come from? They were delighted that I'd come to enjoy their barbecue and thanked me for my troubles by giving me a wide sample of sauces to try, along with samples of some of their sausage,, chicken, and pork delicacies. Wow, the barbecue sauce samples they gave me were astounding. Everything from rich, sweet, and savory to "defiant attitude!" (My words, not theirs.) Everything I tried was excellent. The people even helped me load the box of bags and packages into my rental vehicle and sent me on my way. Very nice people, even though they were very busy. I've been to my fair share of them, but I think the place that actually deserves that hype is Brown's Bar-B-Que. This place is totally slept on and deserves to have a two hour line where you camp out and wait to eat this deliciousness. Across from a bar with some wooden tables where the BBQ smoke drifts over and makes your mouth water, is Brown's Bar-B-Que in a red food truck. The people who work here are genuinely nice. They have great recommendations and I really felt like that wanted to have conversation. It was just such a pleasant interaction. I first ordered a brisket wrap and oh my goodness. I think this was the best thing I have ever eaten in Austin. Large amounts of tender, mouthwatering brisket all wrapped in a convenient food vehicle - a flour tortilla. I want everyone to know... I literally ate this wrap in probably 5 minutes exclaiming "this is the best thing I have ever eaten!!" and promptly got back into line and ordered another one. The brisket is just so well seasoned and not dry at all! I love pickles and jalapeños with brisket and the wrap had all of these things! I cannot wait to go back here. I'm a native Texan and Brown's is one of my Go To BBQ places. The brisket is tender, cooked to perfection and just amazingly good. I am also a fan of their sausage and the folks that work there. Both the meats were deeeelicious, the tart cabbage slaw paired really well with the bbq, beans were more spiced (not spicy, but tastes of a bunch of spices) than sweet so depends on how you like your baked beans. Okay y'all I'm back at browns and was just intending on getting a wrap snack and I got pulled back into the vortex of the Mac and cheese. Going around lunchtime there was less parking but plenty of seating room. It wasn't busy so we got our foods super quick and hot. For $6 we got a sausage wrap and I love that they cut the sausage, it's a small gesture that makes it more enjoyable to eat. For $7 we got a brisket wrap and y'all.. that's a lot of brisket! I could've saved some or put it in the Mac and cheese but I was in it to win it.
