I have eaten here several times now and every time the food and the service is amazing. Today was special though because we went with a very large party. A family member had a graduation and we decided to come to Rokhat Grill after. We had a party of 20. I called the day before and spoke with Shehnooz. She was very accommodating and took all of my information and suggested to make the experience better we should give them an idea of some of the food we wanted. I did just that. When we arrived all of our food came out in a very timely way and everything was delicious!!! We were able to add more food and everything still came out quick and done to perfection. All of the staff is so warm, welcoming and very attentive. I very much recommend this place if you want great food and great service. Thank you guys for making our event so great!! read more

They charged the tip by default and did not show me the receipt. Then they pretend that nothing happened and still asks for more tips. Even though it is complained for years, the manager ignored it. The service we experienced tonight was not just appalling, it was downright disrespectful. I'm convinced the servers working here have a deep hatred for their job and for the customers. They probably know that they get paid enough via gratuity anyways, so they have no reason to put in effort. There's no other explanation for how callous their attitudes were. There were several things that went wrong with our visit: we had to ask several times for enough plates, for menus, for water (apparently it's bottled water only), and even for silverware. On the note of silverware: we were given disposable plasticware, the kind you get at cheap takeout spots, despite every table around us getting cloth napkins and metal utensils. Completely unprofessional. After we initially ordered food, we waited an hour for our main course and had to ask several waiters where our food was. Apparently they forgot about it, since the food was lukewarm and clearly not fresh when it was finally served to us. The bill itself is sketchy because it's not even itemized. So you have no idea if they charge for water bottles or if the bill is correct without getting out a calculator and doing the math yourself. What kind of restaurant doesn't give you an itemized bill?! Even fast food places like Taco Bell do that! If management is reading these bad reviews, I sincerely hope they train their wait staff to do the bare minimum and at least pretend to care about good service. I found this place via a TikTok. We are not strangers to Russian / Uzbek food. We drove in 3 hours to eat here. Disappointed. Service was nonexistent. They tipped themselves 15% with no service (2 adults + 3 small children), which is wild to me. Food was very good. Took forever to come and offer to take the order. Never checked on us once order was placed. Did not ask us if we needed anything when they brought the food. I had to get up to get go boxes and order my kids dessert. Had to flag someone down to get the check. Drinks were cans of soda. No straws. No cups of ice. We did notice they were checking on other tables though. Ever since we moved back to the states from Saudi, BBQ has never been the same. The quality of the meat and the way it's cooked is unmatched there and I have been struggling to find something as good in the States. Rokhat grill finally gave me that experience, it was 9.5 s/10 for me. Overall this place is a bit pricey, but halal meat of this quality is going to be expensive either way and the restaurant is pretty "fancy." I would highly recommend this place for special occasions. ------------ We all shared the mix grill platter and it was delicious when fresh. The meat was tender, flavorful, and juicy. I'd rate this platter a 10/10. The only thing that was a bit dry were the little meat pinwheels. Even the fried and veggies tasted good in the meat juices . We also shared the Lagman lamb soup and the dumpling soup. The lamb soup was very hearty, almost a full meal. It also was not as good as other things, it had a very strong taste, 8/10. The dumpling soup was delicious and I would highly recommend it, 10/10. For dessert we had the creme brulee, which was the disappointment of the night. This shop has a bad habit of not owning up to its mistakes. And thinking all the bad reviews are left by one person. I had a terrible experience here with my family. My mothers platter had yogurt UNDER the vegetables. The yogurt was not visible on the outside. It was only found halfway through my mom eating the food. There was no yogurt on any of the other plates either, only inside the metal cup. We tried to call the restaurant the next day to let them know as we did not want to make a scene especially since my father has owned restaurants in the past as well and knows what it is like to be a restaurant owner. We were concerned vegetables from other customers plates were being reused. The response of the restaurant was baffling. They did not want to own up to their mistake. First they said this was a mistake during food preparation and sometimes things fall onto the dish while making it. But if this is the case shouldnt you NOT SERVE that dish and instead remake the dish???? Then later they claim this was not true and claim my review is fake from someone named "alex". I do not live in dallas, i have no reason to make fake reviews. I was told my many friends to go here and it seemed well reviewed. Maybe people like the food here but our experience was bad. First time trying this Uzbek resto and they did not disappoint. Staff who setved us made great recommendations! The Tashkent salad was an oh.my.God delicious! That could serve 3 people at least! Just a true textural treasure: Crunchy cucumbers, ripe tomatoes, thinly sliced onion, herbs on herbs on herbs, over a cool yogurty base draped over flaky crusts of flat bread and finished with a drizzle of flavored sesame oil and I'm pretty sure I still missed somethings. The last few times we went they had sold out and though their kabobs are sure to please any meatlover... I do hope they keep this dish on their menu. The Nowrooz salad was large for $14 and enough 3 can share as appetizer for sure. It does come with crumbled eggs which the menu doesn't list, but would be good for lunch by itself. This place is amazing!!! We got the lagman, the Uzbek plov, and the rack of lamb. The lagman has an incredibly rich broth, and the texture between the noodles and the vegetables was perfect. Really great mix of savory and fresh flavors. The plov has real comfort food vibes. The vegetables are perfectly flavored to be delicious without disguising what they are, and the lamb had the perfect amount of tooth. The rack of lamb came out after we had pretty much polished off the other dishes, and we were worried we would be too full to eat much of it, but that didnt turn out to be much of a problem. The sear and seasoning on the lamb was fantastic. It came with a red sauce that I dunked the fries into thinking it was ketchup -- it was not ketchup lol, but some type of very thin and refreshing tomato sauce. Also really loved the pickled slaw it came with, and found myself eating it long after I said I was done. My only negative is I could have used a carafe of water at the table, it's pretty hot in there. The service is a bit abrupt but that's honestly a plus for us. Very much enjoyed our food and we are hoping next time to exercise enough restraint to have room for dessert. A nearby table had something with berries that looked really good. I did not remember to take any pictures because I was too busy falling on my food like a starving animal, but the decor has some really interesting fiber arts and traditional clothing on the walls. I was so excited when my husband found this place across from the dive shop. I was unaware that I needed Uzbekistan food in my life...but I did. Lovely spot and you can tell the put effort into the decor and set up. It appears to be a family place and everyone was nice and helpful, terrific service. We wanted to try everything and I wish there were more of us so that we could have sampled more. The dumpling soup is comfy and feels like home the way a soup should. Delicious tortellini sized meat dumplings. The pickled vegetables plate is a must...my daughter wanted it for the pickled onions and we would up eating the whole thing...even my tomato adverse husband was scooping them onto the pita and hummus. They elevate each bite. Ground lamb kebab was crunchy and juicy in the right places and had a great texture and flavor. The Manti dumplings were amazing as were the Samsa pastry. Both filled with ground meat and onions...simply flavorful and delicious. Various sauces and a Kompat drink of juices rounded out this satisfying and unique meal. Omg this is our go to place for dinner. Their ribeye steak is just amazing. We always have to have an order of their ribeye and their chicken kabab. Their pulao is a little to the sweeter side. Probably won't ever do that except the one time we did. Service is a little slow. But at the end of it it's all worth it when the food arrives.
