First time in this restaurant and I was impressed with how delicious and fresh the food tasted. My sister recommended to try and glad we went. Good customer service. You do not feel rushed once you are seated. Not long wait for the food to be served. Short ribs were amazing. Bulgogi meat so soft and tender to eat. Side dishes plenty to mix and try. The clay hot pot keeps the food warm. Come Hungry because they give a big portion for dinner.

Came here with a party of 7 for dinner and we were able to get seated quickly. The service was really good and attentive. We ordered a lot of tofu dishes, bulgogi, and short ribs. They were all delicious and were big portions. It also came with a lot of side dishes like kimchi and fish. Parking was easy and right in front of the restaurant. Overall a very seamless and pleasant experience!

This spot is great for chowing down on some Korean comfort food! It is located right across the street from Mitsuwa, with parking in a similar fashion. The lot is decent sized and shared with other tenants so come early to secure a spot. The service is quick and efficient, and they come back to the table every so often to make sure you have enough banchan for the meal. The menu focuses on a few popular kinds of dishes including soondubu, bibimbap, and BBQ. The best part is that you can essentially make any of these a combo so you can get the best of both worlds. The pricing is fair and the flavor is also delicious. I like that the dining area is not too crowded and the lighting is adequate. I suggest getting a combo to share and a few combos if you're coming as a group because the portions are bigger than what I expected. This place is casual and no frills. Restrooms were also clean, no complaints here. While no one single dish here screams absolutely amazing to me, I think Cho Dang Village has good basic flavor, enough for me to visit again.

Pork kimchi tofu soup and pork bulgogi

Really enjoyed the pork kimchi tofu soup. It comes out boiling so that you can crack an egg into it, so it takes forever to cool down! Be prepared to burn roof of your mouth. We had the combo with pork bulgogi. Delicious. We will definitely return!

I was excited to try the tofu soup, and this was so satisfying! I got the S8. Beef Kimchi Tofu Soup and it comes with a hot stone pot rice, grilled yellow croaker and side dishes! You can also pick the spice level too, which I got the Lv2 mild. It added a nice flavor to the soup, and not too spicy! The tofu soup was great! It came out nice and hot, it goes well all the side dishes and rice that came with the meal. The staff were super friendly! The seating was clean, and they played lots of kpop music too!

I love this place so much! Still my favorite Korean place for tofu soup and raw marinated crab. The side dishes are so delicious and pair well with the entrees. The service is amazing and quick. I take everyone here because it's such a great place. The restaurant is super spacious with lots of seating for bigger parties.

Cold noodle with galbi, and kimchi soft tofu soup(back)

The quality of the food is always consistent! You can't go wrong with anything here. I love their combo meals, galbi is a must! My fav is the soft tofu soup, seafood pancake (ask for extra crispy), and their spicy cold noodles. Service is always quick and we are always seated immediately!

Soondobu

I was looking for good soondobu in the area and this place came highly recommended by many. I totally get it. It's definitely one of the better ones I've had!! I appreciate the spice customization and also the many protein choices you have. You can also do combo meals which is great. The Galbi is good as well. Overall I enjoyed it and definitely want to go back to try more things and get soondobu again!! Service is really great as well.

We loved everything we got here. I especially enjoyed the galbitang and seafood pancake. Portions are good for the price. The restaurant is bright, clean, spacious, and service was good as well.

Hot stone bibimbap

My friend and I went to Cho Dang in Plano for dinner today for some cold noodles. Shortly after we walked in we were seated at a table. The restaurant is well lit and it kind of feels like you're sitting outside based on the decoration and layout. This is a nice and quiet restaurant perfect for catching up with friends or enjoying with family. We ordered the spicy cold noodles Korean bbq rib combo and a hot stone bibimbap. Everything here was delicious and I enjoyed the banchan as well. The vegetables and apples on the Korean cold noodles tasted fresh and complemented the dish perfectly. They also give you scissors to cut the noodles and bbq rib which is sooo useful. This location gives me a different vibe from the Carrollton location as the Carrollton one feels like I'm eating inside someone's house. You can't go wrong with either location though!

Always consistently good and fast Service surprisingly good compared to other asian owned restaurants iykyk One of my favorite bibimbaps Soondubu is solid Beef short ribs can sometimes be hit or miss Love the banchan selection They usually have the cucumbers and japchae, both my favorites. Always quick to refill waters and banchan One of my favorite Korean restaurants in Plano

Cold noodles

This is my frequently visited restaurant. I normally come here for sundubu, but in the summer, I like to look for cold noodles. I tried the non-spicy and the spicy versions, and I prefer the spicy one (mildly spicy). The non-spicy tasted more vinegary. You can't go wrong either way. The mustard changes the flavor profile and makes everything taste even better. And the order comes with the regular side dishes!

Jennifer N.

This is a staple for Korean food in Carrollton for a reason. They have a simple but diverse menu. The portion sizes are good for a fair price. The food is always delicious and the banchan is plentiful. They are very Korean, so I sometimes do feel like you get better service if you're with someone that speaks Korean, but it is never a deterrent. The restaurant is busy, and rightfully so! Great for large parties as well. I have been here a couple of times but this is my first time writing a review. Had the galbitang, which was delicious. Well seasoned, huge chunks of meat, and large enough for leftovers. My friends had the soondubu, which was also good. This is truly a classic and I'll definitely have to be back!

We got the baby octopus bibimbap with the steamed egg and bulgogi bibimbap with the tofu soup. The banchan was also really fresh and the kimchi really stood out. The portions were huge! I love that the bibimbap comes out on a flat sizzling pan to maximize the crunchy rice you get from it. The baby octopus was delicious and had great flavor. The steamed egg had a spongy texture which and was also really flavorful. The tofu soup was not as thick as some that you might get but it had a really good savory flavor that you can taste in the soup. It was overall a real great experience and a great value if you're going at lunch. Definitely adding to our regular rotation.

Even before the star of the meal appeared, kudos to the smattering of banchan that came out: sprouts, cucumber kimchi, sweet potato, mini meat patties, kimchi, steamed egg, tofu soup, salad greens seasoned, cheese + corn... I hope I didn't miss any! The mushroom bibimbap is flavorful! We've never had this particular bibimbap before and man it goes well with the meat. Beef rib was tender and nice. We wanted it a bit rare :) and it was delish! Dipping sauce was nice but honestly doesn't need it! Oh and the grilled mushroom is good with it. Pork belly was the star of the meal. Had it with 2 week aged grilled kimchi (so special!!) and we got samjang with it, yummm. We were stuffed to the rim and had to take a little box of leftovers home. We were so touched with a little desert rice drink at the end, really rounded out the meal and experience all together. A+ for the service. Amazing job and everything grilled to perfection.

The food is consistently great, and when the staff is properly trained, the service is excellent too. The waitress with the toast necklace was honestly amazing and the highlight of our visit. Her communication was perfect. She asked exactly how we wanted the meat cooked, checked in on the pacing of the courses, and adjusted everything when we asked to slow things down. That level of attentiveness is what makes Korean BBQ enjoyable. At Ari, multiple staff members rotate between tables helping out, which is normally fine. Unfortunately, every time the more mature staff member came to our table, things started getting worse instead of better. After we had already explained that we preferred medium rare and wanted a slower pace, she came over, saw a little pink in the meat, turned the fire back on, and cooked it until it was overdone. She also started putting meat directly onto people's plates without asking first. Everyone at our table had different preferences. Some mainly wanted vegetables, our daughter preferred pieces with more fat on the sides instead of the more pink cuts, and some of us simply weren't ready for more food yet. Since we know everyone's preferences best, it would have made much more sense for us to serve the meat ourselves instead of having it automatically placed onto plates. What made it more awkward was that she kept placing food only into my tray and not anyone else's, which confused my wife and made the experience uncomfortable. She also started cooking additional courses before we had even finished the first two, despite us specifically asking to slow the pace down. The side dishes were also noticeably skimpy this visit compared to normal. Usually the portions are at least halfway filled, but this time some came out barely a quarter full. We kept asking for refills, especially for the daikon, and each refill only came with two or three small pieces. At that point it felt strange having to repeatedly ask for something that normally comes reasonably portioned. One suggestion for management: name tags would really help in a restaurant where the staff is actively cooking and interacting with customers. In a professional service environment, it would make communication much easier and more respectful if customers could address employees by name instead of describing them as "the toast necklace waitress" or "the mature lady." Still love Ari overall and will continue coming back. Hopefully this was just an off night and the communication/training issues get addressed.

Our family makes both of these stews at home but once we discovered the galbi tang here, we order it at least once a month. Ok maybe at least twice a month lol The ajumma here is the sweetest person and I like to tell myself that everything from the soups to the banchan are her homemade recipes. I have no way of confirming if that's even true but even the banchan is delicious. My husband discovered this place when he ordered something here once last winter.
