Several groups went in after us, came outside, then were summoned in while we still sat outside with our pager. We were just a party of 2... My husband finally went inside and tossed the pager on the counter and we left and went elsewhere. Not sure if we'll go back for awhile.

I gave her my phone number and received a message to download Yelp! including a "Your place in line" feature. Benches to sit and wait - one outside and three inside. We were 4th in line, and then 2nd, and then 1st. I felt a vibration from the phone but saw no message. So I went to the desk to check, and they were ready anyhow with 4 empty tables. Seated us quickly and our waitress Ashley was there in short time. Paula (wifey) ordered some Egg Sandwich and a small order of French Toast. I ordered Southern Benedict, which was a buttermilk biscuits base, topped with a fried chicken patty, 2 poached eggs, and smothered in a creamy sausage gravy, and it came with an order of home fries. We were both very happy with the flavor and portions. In fact I was rather full and didn't eat the last 3 or 4 bites. I also had an iced coffee, which was nice and strong. The place is very much where neighbors and families meet and greet. Lot's of "Norm!!" moments. Pricing if fairly average -- it was (with a 20% tip) $45 for us two. My only complaint had nothing to do with the restaurant, but with adults who don't know how to tell a kid not to do shrill whistling in a restaurant. No more details on that. Again, not the restaurant's fault. We definitely would like to go there again, especially to order some bacon, as that, in my estimation, is a very important factor for breakfast -- I just didn't have any reason for it this time, what with the chicken and the sausage gravy.

Horrible place. I tried it for the first time. Of course saw mixed reviews but wanted to try a new place out. Service was great. The food a complete disaster. Home fries undercooked. I asked for over medium egg and got a slime eggs that were borderline over easy. When waitress approached cook about remake all he did was argue with her and say he could do over easy or over hard. So unprofessional. I could hear it from where i was sitting because the cook in the open area. How does a cook not know how to make over medium eggs. This place is pathetic and cant understand how its still open. I hope what i saw was not a reflection of how they treat their staff here. The fact he was so unwilling and making excuses shows customers are not a priority for this place. Do not reccomend at all. I usually dont do this but this was a terrible experience. I have never encountered such disregard for a customer. I will leave it at that. Waitress was great. No issues with her. Gave one star because i had no choice. read more
