    Ham and Swiss omelette
    Jesse L. R.

We were in Somerset this morning dropping off my car down the street and decided to go to Roger's for breakfast. Sadly, this was a decision that we regretted. I ordered a ham and Swiss omelette which came with home fries and toast. The omelette did not have much cheese or flavor and the home fries were bland and cold. The toast was probably the best part. I wish I could say that at least the service was good; however, my coffee was never refilled until I paid the check as the waitress did a disappearing act after giving us our order. We agree that we will not be returning anytime soon.

    My short rib lol

Worst food I've had in a very long time....this place years ago was great now the food is terrible never in my life or culinary career did I expect a Guiness Braised short rib to be served as a Sysco bagged pot roast dry as can be with powdered beef gravy... didn't even pretend to add Guiness. Can't say it's not because I've been in kitchens my entire life... even called and asked if I got the wrong order but the manager provided a stuck up tone and said its all homemade and they don't even have pot roast.. sure you don't because you're disguising it as something else. Fritters were good, but be honest and own up at least to customer complaints and take a good look at what you're offering and what is actually being provided.

    Served stone cold.

Lousy. Plain and simple. I am actually sitting here now writing this review because I am not eating... My entire breakfast (omelette, homefries and toast were all served stone cold like it had been sitting in the kitchen and the waitress never came back to the table until my husband was done eating. Though they did take it off of the bill, it is not acceptable to number one serve cold food and number two not check back to see how everything was. Won't be back. Oh one more peeve... I hate when restaurants serve Nesquik bottles of chocolaye milk instead of mixing their own!!!!

Decent food. Clam chowder wasnt good at all, in my opinion. They should omit the bacon. Way too overpowering for clam chowder.

I love this place. Never had a bad or even mediocre meal here. Very casual, friendly, and the prices can't be beat.

The restaurant isn't the biggest, so I would recommend it most for parties of 4 or under that way everyone can be seated comfortably and quickly. In my opinion, the best thing at Cornerstone is the Portuguese sweet bread French toast. It is sweet and delicious and I have yet to find anything like it at other breakfast places I've tried. Better yet, on your way out, you can grab a sweet bread to take home so the deliciousness can continue at home. I highly recommend this restaurant and hope to be back soon!

It was a cute little place too). Anyway, after a few months break, we went back in late this morning. We received an "old friend" kind of greeting from Judy, a longtime server. This is a family owned & run establishment..I think I heard her say to another guest she had been serving tables there 40yrs?! ( she only looks 35)? Don't believe that 40 yr fact?? Lol. The menu format has a new look. Easier to read but I think most of them old favorites were on the new menu with some exciting new additions. One od the new additions jumped off the page at me & I had to have it. " The Elvis". Im not a crazed Elvis lover except for this plate. It is not a keto friendly or diabetics friend. 2 slices of sweetbread covered in peanut butter & bananas with whipped cream & a couple of slices of bacon. Bring your cardiologist with you to breakfast & he can have his poached egg and berry bowl waiting for you to need his medical assistance. If you don't make it out alive, you can say Elvis left a smile on your face for your last meal. It's so good, you'll remember it for a while. Can you say that about your last rice cake? Staff is always happy in the diningroom. Bakery counter staff is hit or miss as far as happiness factor. They really have improved the bakery counter offerings. Eye candy to get you taste buds going.

The restaurant is very clean. I've met the owner twice as he tries to get around the diningroom before you leave to make sure your experience was a good one & personally thank you. I feel that in itself makes a big difference in quality control & guaranteeing he is hearing his customers & perhaps can make changes before it becomes a business-changing problem. (Sometimes a few bad reviews spread like wildfire & changing rumors back to the truth can hurt the bottom line). There is a delightful waitress you'll be glad to have serve you if you are lucky enough to be seated at her table. "Grandma (name)?" is a very happy way to start your day. She knows the menu well & can make you smile on your worse days. The menu has plenty to choose from & the portions sizes..epic! Eggs Benedict is 3 egg size. Pancakes & French toast orders are enough for today & tomorrow without adding eggs or meat. But their prices are similar to other places lessor size plates. There is an ramp at the entrance for those with mobility issues. There are a couple of handicap spots too. I do not know if the restrooms are wheelchair friendly as I didn't check it out yet. Even on a packed Sunday morning, the kitchen was quick moving the food out.. the waitress was right on top of refills too. Definitely worth stopping in & giving it a try but bring your appetite. Eating like a bird, I think, is frowned upon.
