Admittedly, I am not a dood who goes to a restaurant for breakfast because it is generally a total WOM (waste of money) in that it is stupidly overpriced for mundane foods that you should just make at home like eggs, toast, etc. Plus restaurant breakfast time is always a chaotic zoo with families and screaming toddlers making for a depressing and aggravating dining experience. Although Lina's is crowded it is more chill than an iHOP or similar such hell holes. Lina's is a shanty wooded joint with carpeting which attenuates sound waves wicked good. Plus it's a small joint so it can only get so mental in here. Let's get down to some deets. The menu is wicked extensive with "the usual" options: two eggs with toast and two strips of bacon, one egg with toast and one strip of bacon, three eggs with home fries and toast and one strip of bacon, ad nauseum... However, much more is offered here like crepes of different varieties and Portuguese stuff and burritos and fancy French toasts and flapjacks and many, many bennies including fish-cake bennies and literally hundreds of other foodstuffs. The menu is wicked mental and much of it is ethnic and things that the average breakfast-maker would not be bothered to make at home. The waitresses are wicked pissah and wicked friendly and prices are VERY cheap by today's standards. My Mozambique Snausage Dish with "homey fries" was 10 bucks and included eggs and toast and was scrump AF and quite copious. Spicy and flavorful and wonderfully oily and rich. This is the real McCoy here. The crepes were excellent and had whipped on them and packed with fruit of your choice. The coffee was "the usual" diner coffee -it was brown and simply took care of business. It's the kind of coffee that old people have been drinking for years without compliant or comment. It's a shanty place so don't expect a glitzy atmosphere. It is kozy and komfy in a rustic way. Very no frills with bric-a-brac decor, if that. It may be best described as an upscale tool shed. Great food, great service. It was my first time at Lina's. There were 15 of us, the service was amazing, the food was great and I will definitely go back again. The only thing that caught my attention, the Ruben wasn't as filled with corned beef as I would have liked, but it was still a great tasting Ruben. Kudos to the chefs and the servers! My quest for a delicious breakfast burrito led me to Lina's. Service was excellent, but the dirty menus left a bad taste in my mouth. It was way too early in the morning to be looking at stained menus. My husband and I both ordered the fajita burrito with sausage. My overall feeling on the food was meh. Portions were huge, but it was just OK. It was nothing that is going to have me rushing back for this burrito. The home fries were also lukewarm at best. Been going here for years! It was 1245pm when i called, Google said it closes at 130pm! I spoke to a man i asked of they were busy and if they had guest (knowing it closes soon and i was 8 minutes away!) He stated that there was guest there. This place is alright. Would I come here again? Maybe. I had the sunny side up eggs, sausage, home fries, wheat toast, and a side of Portuguese sweet bread. Nothing special about any of those items. Only complaint is that the potatoes just had this really unappetizing spice over them. It was like some kind of chili powder and I wasn't expecting that. The orange juice was also extremely acidic and another customer in front of us at another table complained about the drink too because it was a bad bottle. Almost tasted rancid. So the waitress switched it out with a new bottle of orange juice which makes me wonder how fresh the drinks and food really are. My boyfriend ordered crepes and French toast and was it superb? Again, no. It's just regular food you could make at home. If I wasn't in the mood to cook and someone else was paying for the bill, then maybe I'd come here again if they wanted to come. I was put off by the exterior, but wowed by the inside! When you first come in there is a diner area where you can sit bar-style near the kitchen. On the other side are some tables and cozy atmosphere of a family restaurant. Very clean, but with personality. My friend and I went for breakfast and she ordered a mocha-chino. It looked beautiful and it was delicious. They had a massive breakfast selection. My friend loved the chocolate chip pancakes, and I had an omelet. I ordered the veggie omelet, for which you can pick 3 veggies from a list. I ordered onions, mushrooms, and spinach and I also added cheese. The serving was generous and it was loaded with the veggies, very tasty! It also came with toast and hash-browns. Our whole meal came out to a little over $10. Had a lovely Friday breakfast with my grandmother at Lina's Place last week. We were debating making the drive to Fall River for a proper Portuguese omelette when a quick Yelp search showed us we wouldn't need to go that far. Lina's is located in a building that looks a bit like a house, is right near the high school, and has ample parking that wraps around the building. We were seated immediately, got fresh coffee right away, and had our orders taken within less than ten minutes of waking through the door. I had bacon, eggs over easy, and sweet bread French toast while my Vavo was able to get her omelette just how she liked it. Nice, fast service, good location, and good breakfast food make Lina's worth the trip if you're near County Street or going through Somerset. read more

Been going here for breakfast on and off for years. Only go here when the situation requires. Today it was late and not too many cars in the lot so to Lina's we went. My first issue has to do directly with the customers who have no idea how to park within the painted lines. Come on people, STAY IN THE LINES! Well got that out of the way. Now to my experience. On previous occasions the food has been nothing spectacular, mediocre at best. Today was no different by any means. I had one of the specials on the board and it was ok the poached eggs were not over cooked. The meal did go down hill from there though. I would have been ok waiting a few minutes more to get my hash at least warm. Some of the parts were down right cold. The home fries were absolutely disgusting. Cold and completely over cooked, yeah go figure, how does one over cook the snot out something and serve it cold. Well I'll tell you how, they pile the home fries on the griddle already completely cooked in an attempt to warm them when needed. Well today they did not succeed at all. Also, on another note, how can they allow someone to cook out in front of that griddle dressed in a thin dress and flip flops? Doesn't the health inspector every visit this place! I don't know why I'm even giving 2 stars, probably out of pity. One more thing why is it that people rave about the food here? I don't get it. A place like Lina's I fully expect food prepared by cooks with minimal skills, as long as it's done correctly and hot I'm good with that. The service was lacking once we were told we could sit anywhere we went to the left to sit near a window, however a waitress was blocking the aisle.in stead of moving to the side to let us through we were left standing there waiting while she finished her conversation. I don't know if this was a ploy to get us to sit in her section or what but all it did was aggravate me. Once seated we waited again for some time before our waitress greeted us. What is there to say about Lina's....the live entertainment comes from the colorful employees stirring the pot amongst each other and joking with customers. The best view is from the counter and they are at breakfast. The Montecristo is bomb...let me describe. Two pieces of texas toast that died and came back as french toast. About 2 eggs scrambled on a griddle to make a blanket. Folded into that egg blanket is a slice of ham. It is folded into the egg put between the french toast slices to make the Monte. I work in somerset twice a week and have been looking for a good spot to go during my breakfast/lunch break. Wow am I glad I found this place, you could easily drive right by without knowing and I have many times. Thanks to yelp I found this hidden gem. While visiting Battleship Cove and the Fall River Area we (my family) decided to stay the night, the next morning I saw a local policeman in a parking lot and quickly pulled in to ask him the best place for breakfast, his only recommendation was Lina's Place, said it was down the road a ways and it has the best food around. Following his advice we stopped and had the most AMAZING breakfast ever. the Portuguese Sweet Bread French toast was simply awesome, the omelette I had was something I could live off of for the rest of my life, it was that good!
