5 stars for the Ambiance, 3 for the food/drink. I got the pistachio martini- it didn't taste at all like pistachio and was blue not green? Weirdest one I have gotten yet. Staff was friendly and the interior was really cute. Well decorated. We didn't have high expectations based on the exterior- and was surprised!! He got the ledge quesadilla - it came out room temp. The cheese was congealed. I think these were made ahead of time and warmed up. Sour cream and salsa- small containers were an additional $1 each on top of the $17 for the meal. They reheated the dish, but did offer to remake it. My cowboy smash burger, no cheese was good. It also was $18. I upgraded to salad from fries for an additional $2. Burger was good but small for the price. We weren't offered a second round of drinks, which was fine since I didn't enjoy the first round. Music was classic rock, we enjoyed the vibe. When are restaurants going to realize that sometimes people just don't want to eat meat? Other than salad, there were no vegetarian options on the menu. I decided to order the $16 Mediterranean quesadilla without the chicken and asked that it have extra of the vegetables that were in it. You're mostly paying for the meat, so when you order without it, you would think they would fill it with the veggies, nope! It was the thinnest quesadilla I have ever had, definitely not worth $16. The other people in my party were equally disappointed with their food. They got the boneless buffalo wings, which I was told were flavorless. The chili was very watery and didn't come with chips, the Italian chicken dish was just ok, and the burger was nothing to write home about. It's just getting harder and harder to find a place that I feel is worth spending your money on. I will say the vibe was pretty cool with old music videos playing on the tv and musical instruments and memorabilia on the walls. Where we were seated was a little awkward by the computer and for much of the meal there was a server or runner, not sure what her role was because she was just standing behind us as we ate. You just don't feel like you could talk. Our waitress was friendly, but I don't like when servers don't write down your order. On top of that she asked if we needed anything else, any sauces and my son asked for BBQ sauce. We didn't realize until the bill came that he was charged $2.00 for it! Really!? As if the food wasn't expensive enough, you have to charge for sauces. And if that is the case, you should let people know. Seems shady to me to sneak little things on the bill. The place wasn't too busy for a Friday night. If they want more traffic, they're gonna have to do better. Small little changes could make this place much better. Make sure there aren't dog poop bags by the entrance for one. That was not something you want to see before going somewhere to eat. read more

Very good local bar/restaurant. Ordered pasta and espresso martini. Martini was average. Pasta was pleasantly tasty, hot and spicy. Service with a smile and reasonable length. I must mention here the entrance to this place. Absolutely great. A small zig zag breezeway is built in which preserves cold air entering. Awesome design that other small restaurants/bars should learn from. It was 30 degrees outside but none to little effect inside as others came in or left! read more

Just left the ledge restaurant was very disappointed my husband ordered the tuscan shrimp and I had the fish and chips the Tuscan shrimp was ice cold they took it back and microwaved it the fish and chips was dry and ice cold. It was not busy when we ordered so it should have come out hot. I give them a 1 star and nothing was discounted on the bill. read more

Tried this restaurant again, and we ordered the steak. The grain was awful, and my teeth were not sharp enough to break it down. The draft IPA beer is over-priced and unfortunately the food is sub par. I just don't see myself visiting again. read more

The Ledge opened in late May 2023, just off MA 24 on MA 79 North in the former Assonet Roasters space. This bar and restaurant is very cozy with seating up at the bar, a few high top tables, booths, and tables. There are a few flat screen TVs here on at the bar showing sports and the TV on the wall showing classic rock performances and music videos, sound over the speakers. This place is fully decorated with framed pictures and memorabilia of classic rock bands & musicians and Rolling Stone magazines. I love how there are framed concert t shirts with the ticket stubs. As for the food, they offer appetizers, wings, smash burgers, sandwiches, quesadillas, salads, soups, chili, entrees (pasta, chicken, pork, steaks), kids menu and desserts. For drinks, they have 13 draft beers plus bottled beers, wine, liquor, martinis and cocktails. I stopped The Ledge for food recently. The place was quite busy, so I decided to sit at a high top table near the bar and with a great view of the big TV showing classic rock (ZZ Top and Paul McCartney). The server arrived promptly and I started out with ice water with lemon. I ordered the Boneless Wings with Dragon Sauce & Bleu Cheese for dipping ($13 plus tax) and a Bowl of Chili ($8 plus tax) with tortilla chips and watched show music on the TV. The other TV at the bar had the NASCAR race on from near my office over 100 miles away. The food arrived in about 15 minutes. The 4 boneless wings were good sized and equivalent in size with 12 BWW boneless nuggets to put it into perspective. The breaded boneless wings were very tender and not too chewy and the dragon sauce had a savory sweet flavor with minimal heat. The chili was a very good bowl size portion with sirloin, onion, kidney beans, black beans, stewed tomatoes and melted cheese with crunchy corn tortilla chips for dipping. I managed to finished the chili, but I needed a box for most of the boneless wings. The check with tax and before tip was $23.31. Overall, good pub food with a very unique atmosphere which felt like sitting in a mini "classic rock cafe" with a nice collection of classic rock decorations on the walls. FINALLY a decent restaurant is back in Assonet! The restaurant and bar area is extremely cute and clean. Richard and I love this restaurant, we have been five times now plus one take-out visit. The food here is great! Debit/Credit/Cash accepted. So far we have tried a variety (sauces/rubs) of the largest, most tender boneless chicken wings we have ever eaten. The dragon wing sauce is our favorite thus far. The pistachio martini is to die for! Wide selection of craft beers plus beers we all know and love. Plus wines, the hard stuff and soda is available The chicken and waffles are superb but I wish they offered a spicier syrup option but they cater to the masses. Fish, chips and coleslaw are on point. So many restaurants have lousy coleslaw, not here. Richard loved his Portuguese steak meal. The chicken marsala is very good, although I'd prefer one breast vs chicken chunks but the sauce on the chicken/pasta made for one tasty meal. We also very much enjoyed our smash burgers. Fries I believe are hand cut, none of that coated crap. For lighter fare I recommend the berries berries salad. They do not skimp on ingredients for any meal or salad. Cynthia, our server each time, offers great suggestions. The co-owner is a bit "clique-ish" only saying hello/asking how food is to people she knows but so what, the food is great and the wait staff are friendly. She also is the bar-tender as well. we only have one complaint: occasionally the music is too loud for our sensitive ears. Excellent music though, just too loud.
