We come here quite often and I know it's been a little while, but the new owners have really done a great job. My favorite breakfast is the Mozambique Benny with shreds absolutely delicious. The food is always good. The service is fast and friendly. read more

I just love, love, love short rib, so I ordered it. What I got was MAYBE 2 oz of meat and the rest IN FAT! The mashed were really good, though. By the way, do the Ferraras eat vegetables at home? Because they don't usually offer much other than beets, corn, coleslaw. We just went through the whole summer without any nice summer produce. Mushy zucchini doesn't cut it. Even good quality frozen is better than what is usually available. If I'm going to spend $19+, I expect decent sides. read more

Went on a Saturday morning for breakfast. The place was busy ... so expect a little wait. Once seated our server appeared almost immediately and our food was not far behind. I had the Western scrambler. I suppose it was a Western omelet but scrambled. It came with toast, home fries and Hollandaise sauce. Food was tasty ... nice quantity and at a fair price. It was a typical neighborhood breakfast place clean and friendly atmosphere. Worth going back to. read more

No doubt about it Somerset Grill is a great place to eat. Always a good meal no matter what you order. But for the love of God will you please turn down that air conditioning. Many seniors eat here and complain that the air conditioning is too much. Next time maybe I'll bring a blanket . read more

I only came here to try to try it out since the place I always go to for breakfast was closed.. I was very surprised of how good Somerset Grille was! The food was the very basic (how I like it) scrambled eggs, home fries and toast. I also ordered a grilled corn muffin, which was delicious. Service was excellent! The staff went above and beyond, to the point where if your coffee cup was half full they would come over and refill it and if you even looked in their direction they were very attentive and would come right over. Complete team effort at this breakfast spot! Very underrated and one of the better breakfast places around! read more

New owners and things have changed. It makes Me sad. No more dinner service which is something welcoming in a small town to have a local spot. Miss the things that brought me here for over 10 years. I understand things change but not for the best. read more

Absolutely outstanding place for Great Food and service. Little out of the way, but definitely worth the trip!

Once again, I am disappointed. The service has declined greatly since new ownership. Went in today and it wasn't very busy, but clearly understaffed. Had to ask the bus boy if he could get a waitress to get our order. The waitress was rude and never returned. Had to flag down another waitress to refill coffees. Our food was up for quite some time before it was brought over by a different server. Again, our server never did anything but take our order. Didn't get the drinks, or bring the food, or refill or ask if everything was good. No excuses. It's been over a year now. The menus need to be laminated. read more

This place is always had a good breakfast. But there hours are all over the place. I know they're new owners well still somewhat knew I should say. Nice people trying to get it together I guess. Staff is friendly and efficient. I just wish they would get the hours up and going make it permanent. The best days of the week to go out for dinner usually the weekends and they're not even open. The food and the portions are good. Most of it anyways. They make a good breakfast. Actually I would say that would be there main thing. I don't think I'd order like a steak dinner here and expect it to be like The place up the road. It's like going to an Italian restaurant ordering a burger. But the breakfast is a good and hopefully they'll be open everyday for breakfast and for longer hours. Again nice family but still seem to be pretty new. Hopefully time hours will be extended everyday. In closing and in all honesty I think they should just stick to one or the other... breakfast or dinner. And then be open 6 nights a week or six mornings a week until 2:00 or 3:00 for the people that work late or rise late. I think that would make it easier on them and I think a lot more patrons would be more satisfied. Personally I would do their breakfast is. But we'll see. read more

The food is good, pricing is reasonable, and the wait staff is exceptional. You see them running around from table to table! The owner should consider himself blessed to have them! read more

"Get your bill at the Somerset grill" Great place! Quick service friendly service, fair pricing. I had their Portuguese omelette with rye toast and country fries. Followed by a cool glass of water. It was plenty big was not overcooked and had lots of flavor. The staff is right there to meet any of your needs. Many of the locals eat here. They know many many persons that came in to eat. read more

Love love love this place! My bf and I came here to have breakfast because the other place we normally go to was closed. This is my new fave place! The wait staff is always nice and attentive and the food is so good! It's a small place, but it's worth the wait imo. The prices are great too! read more

Disappointed usually great. 10 people in place took 45 minutes for 2 scrambled eggs I am here on the regular. Just disappointed

Sunday morning visit for breakfast arriving around 10AM. Was waitlisted with several small parties waiting for a table. Only waited around 20 minutes before being seated. Not bad in my opinion for a weekend visit. Restaurant has both booth and table seating for accommodating larger parties (more than 4). Both hubby and I had omelettes. Me a veggie, he a ham and cheese. Both were served hot with good amount of goodies inside and were made with real eggs. Coffee was above average and would classify as good. Service was good with coffee refills coming at regular times throughout our meal. Server was courteous and took order with a smile. Ambiance was a family feel with both younger patrons (with and without kids) and seniors. Not a fancy place but clean and tidy. read more

Excellent restaurant if you're passing through the area. Many of its local competitors are closed on Mondays so they've got the market literally cornered. The friendliest staff served me and my food was prepared in record time. The prices are incredibly fair and the meal portions are generous. All of the staff followed CDC guidelines and they still offer plastic guards between tables. Please give this restaurant and it's staff some business if able. they're really going above and beyond and deserve the business and recognition. read more

I travel a lot and never eat at chains. This restaurant is hands down one of the best I have ever eaten at. The steak was perfect. The kale soup is something to come back for. Service was as it should be, quick and sincere. Love this place. I'd give it a six or ten if I could. read more

I usually go here for lunch. The service is great. i usually get one of the specials and have never had a bad one. The place is clean I enjoy hustle. The girls deserve a shout out for the service. Best lunch specials I have had in the area. read more

The prime rib is delicious. It is about 14oz for $20.99. It is a bargain. If you go during their peak hours you'll have a wait, but it is well worth it. read more

1st time here. a good amount of food, my wife ordered the shrimp plate and they battered the shrimp with the shells on. Kept getting a mouth full of shell. Service was great though. Probably won't be back. read more

Wow, what a contrast between here and the establishment I went to last time. Here at the Somerset Grille the whole experience was excellent from beginning to end. Every area I could see was clean, including the syrup squirt bottles! I ordered a breakfast BLT on a bolo. This thing had to be 2 inches high. It came out quickly, it looked fabulous and was delicious. Sorry no pix, as soon as it hit the table I was on it. There where only 2 waitress working who were outstanding in their job. As far as an old fashioned breakfast joint, it rates very close to the top in my book. On the bummer side, they do not make their own hash. At least the last time I asked they didn't. I'll stick with the 5 star rating, all things considered. read more

if i could give zero stars i would we always go here even after the new ownership, but we have noticed a severe decline in service and quality we just went today for a table of 5 and they sat three tables before us that were there after us. when we said something the girl said that we can't be put in a booth one the people that is with is a child. we would have been completely fine in a booth. unfortunately after the new ownership and noticing this decline we will not be returning. read more

SO GOOD! Great service and great food!! Awesome little town diner. Definitely recommend! read more

We pick up from here several times a month, as we only live about a half mile away. Always happy with breakfasts, omelets, home fries, and pancakes are yummy! Fantastic, brunch plan on returning! Omelette absolutely delicious. The service was fresh class.

Having my haircut in same plaza as Somerset Grill All I could smell was Fish and Chips! Out with idea of veggies on my grill and gave in to trying fish and chips. Did not disappoint! The food was okay at best. Service was fine. But. My whole family got food poisoning from there. Vomiting all night, the chills, even passing out. It's disgusting and i think a health inspector should go in there. Will not be going back + the eggs were always uncooked. I feel bad for whoever else goes into this place. read more

The food is good, the prices are right but the level of service SUCKS! You can be sitting at the counter with an empty glass while eating your meal and not a one of the seven waitress that are usually gathered at the register RIGHT IN FRONT of you will one think to ask if you'd like a refill. In between waiting on tables they all gather behind the counter leaning back with their arms folded in front them and bitch about their customers. If you sit at the counter towards the middle it's common every Thursday n Friday night you can hear them bitch. If you girls are that miserable go somewhere else, not everyone wants to listen to you complaining and not doing your job right. Christ the reason you are there and have a job to bitch about is because of the customers! read more

Very good breakfast and courteous service. I had the hash and it was filling. I will definitely go back.

Holy crap is all I have to say!! I work in somerset so any place we order from at work is new to me! Chili and cheese omelette ROCKED MY ENTIRE DAY TODAY. Sounds dramatic?! Don't care. The chili was perfect. Next time I just want a bowl of chili up in my face!!! But I digress. The home fries were good and simple And the portion size was really good and the price was just right. I look forward to ordering out again!! It's definitely worth a drive down in the weekend...but I don't want to see my work place if I don't have too read more

Two bites of the home fries (One bite was unfortunately enough, and I was splurging on calories, as a treat) to figure out that they were flavorless and not worth the calories. If I had been starving, maybe. The sweet bread French toast was very nice. They use real butter, which can't be assumed, so I was pretty happy there. Lots of friendly service. You would not come here for atmosphere. The website may look fancy, but the actual grill is not. I don't plan on returning. read more

Okay let me clarify why I'm giving it a 3 later. I've dined inside once & done pick up more than I can count because their clam chowder is great. They're whole menu is great except maybe like one or two misses. The diner is absolutely nice. It's inspiring to do to my own house. It's very welcoming & quite homey. Whoever decorated the place did a wonderful job. & now going back to the food. The food is absolutely great. Everything I've ever ordered from there is great. The only reason why i said there may be like one or two misses is because my boyfriend ordered stuff that he was not crazy about. To be specific, he ordered the apple and cinnamon crepes and he very much disliked it. & to be honest, for what you pay for, it's worth it. The portions are huge & the food is packed filled with flavory goodness. But the reason why I'm giving it a 3 stars is because of the staffs & customer service. Like don't get me wrong, I get it's busy but it does not mean you can forget your manners or when you give me the food, your job is done. No. Like the one time I dined there, they gave me my food at a very reasonable time but after that, the staffs were all just hanging out right behind the counter. No one came to talk to us and ask how we're doing & i guess that must be okay if they think that's how they should treat customers. BUT. It is not okay for four of them to be behind the counter & not fill up my water when I was right in front of them. I was sitting at the bar. There's no excuse for that. Oh & let me tell you about what happened today. The reason why I'm writing this review. So I called to make an order for pick up. & as soon as I was done ordering my food, I asked Kim how much would it be. & I got a "You gotta wait a minute". Wonderful customer service huh Kim? In what way did you think it's okay to talk to anyone like that. Then when she finally gave me the total, she sounded mad and like I was bothersome for asking. Sorry that I wanted to know so that I would have enough cash on me when I go to pay. Not everybody uses card Kim if that's what you were assuming. But all in all, food is great but the service is noteworthy horrendous. read more

Fast and friendly service despite a mile-long wait that would have been out the door if it was not freezing. The size of the lunch rush was then justified by the great food. We got the delicious clam chowder and two fish plates. The swordfish was cooked perfectly and the cod cakes were flavorful and filling. Nothing felt over fried or greasy and the price was very reasonable (around $10 for each plate). If we are ever in the area again, we'd definitely stop back. read more

Always good for breakfast, but dinner is not the same. Terrible, bland food. Canned vegetables. And you will wait forever for take out. Skip the grille and head to a better location! read more

I love going to The Somerset Grill. The food is always fresh and delicious. Cooked to order. If it's not on the menu they will try their hardest to accommodate you. The staff is very friendly and always making you feel like family. They have a large menu to choose from. I look forward to seeing the daily specials as well. If it's clam cakes and chowder, prime rib, or the freshest seafood you're looking for The grill is the place to go. Try the turkey dinner with all the fixins. It's real turkey nothing processed. Breakfast all day as well. If you haven't been there you're really missing out on some great food ! read more

Was visiting my daughter's boyfriend's family in Dighton and heard some nice things about this place. If you want a diner atmosphere, this is the place. And that's exactly what I love. The food is good - I wouldn't say the best. I ordered the spinacha and swiss omelet and it was cooked just right. The rest of my family ordered eggs with hollandaise that was a little rich for my liking but okay. The french toast was delicous on texas toast. Coffee was a bit watery but the next cup (probably a new pot) was better. Overall...a good experience. I was actually impressed more with the dinner menu but we never had a chance to do that. read more

Been here at least two dozen times. The best local/neighborhood/family restaurant in the Greater Fall River area, period. It's no wonder why they're always busy. Extensive menu, great specials, attentive & fast service (great when we have the kids with us), very good prices. This place would make a good candidate for the Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives TV show. Faves: seafood chowder, clam chowder, fish & chips, buffalo chicken salad, fresh oven roasted turkey (sandwich or dinner), fried oysters, burgers, hand cut onion rings. Keep up the strong work. read more
