We do take out from Roger's. Food is excellent. Over the past couple weeks we have had the Mediterranean Pasta, Sea Scallops, Little Neck Cod and of course Chop Mein. The seafood is always fresh and cooked perfectly. Prices are as reasonable as you will find. read more

Mixed bag. Fried clams and fish and chips (light batter) got very high marks. On the other hand the clam chowder was too thick, stuffed quahog was bland and boring, and clam cakes weren't crisp at all. Service was awful (took over 50 minutes for our food to come) and our waitperson seemed somehow never to look in the direction of our table. All in all, a disappointment. read more

We are done with Roger's. The lack of customer service skills is what disappoints me the most. I ordered an omelette, it came without cheese. Warning if you want cheese you must ask for it. A bit ridiculous. The whole breakfast was cold. My boyfriends was ok but not worth what we were charged. I called to speak with manager but I couldn't get past her telling me the ingredients in the omelette and that some people don't like cheese in their omelette??? Who? Why? You eat an omelette for the cheese. It's an up charge there I get it. Train your staff better! This area is seriously lacking customer service skills. I know because I have worked in restaurants my whole adult life. In California and here. As a server, bartender, manager and chef. I've worked brunches and have eaten thousands of omelettes. They sat us in the dark side I call it. The walls are so dark it's like a cave. The dreaded bar side. Facing an exit in the tiniest table. We were in Somerset this morning dropping off my car down the street and decided to go to Roger's for breakfast. Sadly, this was a decision that we regretted. I ordered a ham and Swiss omelette which came with home fries and toast. The omelette did not have much cheese or flavor and the home fries were bland and cold. The toast was probably the best part. I wish I could say that at least the service was good; however, my coffee was never refilled until I paid the check as the waitress did a disappearing act after giving us our order. We agree that we will not be returning anytime soon. read more

My husband and I had enjoyed many a breakfast at Roger's and had never had lunch or dinner. Then, Helloooo Covid. After a while we got sick or the same old takeout and decided to give Roger's a try. I've lost count of the number of times we have ordered takeout. The online ordering is super easy and they have a great system for curbside pickup. The staff is always friendly. The stuffed quahogs are some of the best we've had and the sweet potato fries are definitely the best I've ever had. The burgers are all good and I love the option to sub a grilled chicken breast. The Harvest Salad is also a current favorite. With the Covid situation hopefully improving, I may be looking at a breakfast burrito in the near future. read more

I go there for breakfast usually but I just went there for diner. The server didn't come to our table for 20 minutes, she came to several other tables that came in after us. She finally came by took our order and 10 minutes later another server came by to let me know what I ordered wasn't available so I ordered shrimp instead. My family's food arrives and they weren't thrilled with there's but at this point we're starving. My food arrives 20 minutes later Alvin's with the bill (after my family is done eating), and it's fish which wasn't what I ordered (either time I ordered). I let her know that I ordered shrimp and she said that's what I told them, and grabbed my plate and left before I could even say I'll keep it because I just wanted to eat something. I couldn't find her after that so I took the check to the front , paid, and left. I won't be back. read more

Worst food I've had in a very long time....this place years ago was great now the food is terrible never in my life or culinary career did I expect a Guiness Braised short rib to be served as a Sysco bagged pot roast dry as can be with powdered beef gravy... didn't even pretend to add Guiness. Can't say it's not because I've been in kitchens my entire life... even called and asked if I got the wrong order but the manager provided a stuck up tone and said its all homemade and they don't even have pot roast.. sure you don't because you're disguising it as something else. Fritters were good, but be honest and own up at least to customer complaints and take a good look at what you're offering and what is actually being provided. read more

Lousy. Plain and simple. I am actually sitting here now writing this review because I am not eating... My entire breakfast (omelette, homefries and toast were all served stone cold like it had been sitting in the kitchen and the waitress never came back to the table until my husband was done eating. Though they did take it off of the bill, it is not acceptable to number one serve cold food and number two not check back to see how everything was. Won't be back. Oh one more peeve... Went to Roger's for breakfast. It was average. The wait for food was crazy. I don't know if I will try it again.

Owners are great people the cooks are great! Food is average but management needs to be upgraded! Never in my life have I ever met someone so not qualified for a professional job ! Jane is by far the most unqualified manager I have ever seen it's sad to to see a restaurant that has been around for decades be treated as a chain restaurant!!!! Great curbside pickup service, and amazing food as always! We live 35 minutes away and have not been out of house much due to stay at home orders (thanks, COVID). When we finally ventured out we headed straight to Roger's for take-out. Within a minute of pulling up to the designated spot, a staff person came out to greet us (wearing her mask) and make sure we had placed an order already. She took our name and told us that our order was being bagged and would be ready in a couple of minutes; it was ready at the exact time they told us it would be (25 minute wait after placing order). We ordered all sauces on the side so the food wouldn't get soggy on the ride home. The french onion burger was cooked perfectly to order and tasted amazing with the au jus dipping sauce. The chicken mozambique is a must have here (huge portion), it was delicious for dinner and again when we reheated the left overs for lunch the next day. I finally tried their chow mein which I would defiantly order again! read more

2nd time visiting this restaurant.The food here is quite bad. I had guacamole in my mex bowl that was rotten...they just replaced a new portion of the guacamole leaving my bowl with the rotten guacamole on top... so I couldn't eat the rest of my vegetables underneath because they tasted so disgusting. The waitress seemed surprised by my request and said "oh I don't know I never eat guacamole".. I was with a large group of people so I didn't want to complain. Soda costs $2.50 a can....what? No refills and someone at out table couldn't get another cup of tea...she would have to pay for another cup of tea... not sure who is writing the reviews with 5s...save your time and go to another restaurant. read more

I don't like bashing a small business but after how I have been treated here multiple times I will never be back. I have experienced a little bit of rude service here in the past but nothing like the last two times I went. One time was with a large group for breakfast. We made sure to go very early knowing we had a lot of people and hoping they could accommodate us. If they couldn't we would've completely understood. So I was the first to walk in and told the lady at the hostess desk how many. She was an older blonde lady with glasses and had a TERRIBLE attitude. She gave me a face and told me there's no way. Very nicely I said ok I understand. She then huffed and told me to wait to see if they could. She came back again very aggravated to tell me she could but it was wouid be two separate tables side by side. I said no problem that's perfect. We are seated and not too much longer we sat down and here comes that blonde lady to start yelling at us to pass creamers and butters down the table. After she took our drink orders we all looked at each other like jeez someone is not happy this morning. This woman took every opportunity she could to be rude. It was towards the end of the meal and we were all paying for our food. My cousins 2 year old got up and went over to the other table we were with. Well at the same time that same lady came over and yelled at us she was in the way. I gave it another go after this but I will never be back because I'm not finding this attitude to be throughout the entire staff. Now for the final straw. Despite that one rude woman I wanted to go back because I always had a good breakfast from them. Now it was just me and my mother. We walk in and say party of two. This was a different lady, but again a very bad attitude to tell us if we wanted to be seated we would've had to sit in a booth on the bar side. We said that's perfectly fine. She rolled her eyes and got us menus. I don't know why this place hates their customers so much lol. Me and my mom sat there for 10 minutes and not once were we approached. Not even I'm so sorry but we are very busy. Nope, I had a waitress walk by me multiple times and she gave me a very snarky look like you will wait until I am ready. We debated about leaving and when mom noticed there were flies all over the place we decided to run while we could. We got up and as we were walking out, the hostess just watched us walk right out the door and never said anything to us. You think she would've asked us why we were walking out and offered to fix it. This establishment does have a decent selection and easy on the palate, but that's if you can get someone to answer the phone. On multiple occasions I've attempted to call to place an order from Roger's with no avail. Numerous calls and no answer. The online ordering system is also always down leaving that option unavailable as well. This is very unfortunate for a business in a town that strives to support our local businesses. I'm sad to say that this will be my last attempt ordering from Rogers unless there is a significant improvement with there communication methods. read more

This weekend was my first time at Roger's since probably the 1990's. I wasn't a fan then and I am not a fan now. By far the worst service I've had at a restaurant in a very long time. It took 20 minutes to put in a drink order. An hour to get our food. My bagel was barely toasted. It was almost impossible to ask the waitress for anything that you needed as she was never around. My husband kids and I are staying at a nearby hotel and decided to give Rogers a try for dinner. All I can say is WOW we will be back!! I couldn't decide between the buffalo chicken Mac and cheese and the turkey dinner. My husband suggested we split the Mac and cheese. It was absolutely do die for!! Perfect amount of spice! Besides the food though the customer service is OUTSTANDING! they missed the turkey part of the turkey dinner so I called and they immediately offered to remake it. What really made them shine was not only did they remake it with the turkey, but they gave me a desert and the money back. Completely blew my mind because they definitely didn't have to do any of that. We had a good laugh about the whole thing. OMG! The food here is so good! Everything is made fresh in house. I don't understand why it only has an average of 3 stars. We have been here several times for lunch in the past month or two and it has been consistently excellent! Today I had Chicken Tenders Mozambique and my husband had a special Fish and Chips with 4 Shrimp. We both loved it! In the past we have had the Portuguese Steak Plate, the Portuguese Chicken Plate, and Buffalo Mac & Cheese. We've never had a bad meal. And the portions? They are HUGE!! Family restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, dinner. Looks like a full service bar for other times. I went for breakfast after1:00PM or so and found they did not serve breakfast all day. Disappointed. Plenty of other options but this isn't an $11.00 sandwich venue to me. My burger, a half pounder, no other choice, was good, cooked correctly with crisp lettuce and tomato. I declined the fries and wasn't offered any replacement but I didn't ask either. Service was slow but it looked like they were coming off a hefty noon rush so people may have been fatigued and addressing their own lunch needs. I'm a regular here and have always appreciated the welcoming atmosphere. I love the build your own burger option. It is filling and delightful offering endless combinations to your own meal. They handle the rushes well and they also handle personal service in a wonderful manner. I go here often and have always loved the food. the only thing i don't like is the frame decorations on the wall. they are simply blank and bland and doesn't pair with the gentle pop of the restaurant. the frames are bleak and depressing without any context. they have great ideas for this place and could spice up the wall so nice! read more

Private parking lot and quick service. Rogers Spa is another local favorite for people in and around Somerset, Ma. The menu is small but full of local faves. My wife sticks to the Portuguese steak plate. I always use to get their Fall River chow mein with grilled scallops. That was until I discovers the legend of the Seafood Mozambique. Imagine this... yellow rice with peas and carrot. French fries. 3 fried shrimp. 3 fried scallops. And a medium sized piece of fried scrod. Many of us would imagine it being thin flaky fish but this bitch is thick and tender. The best piece of fish I've had in a while. This is my favorite here. I won't order anything else. The wait staff is super friendly and very prompt. They've never messed up my order. Uniformed firefighter/paramedic, walked in at 737am after a long shift, tired and hungry. At the door, noticed only 3 tables being served in the restaurant. Parking lot was empty. Asked if I could place a take out order due to my long shift and not wanting to dine in. Was told by staff "sorry but we don't do take out on weekends because we are really busy"... I then looked around one more time and confirmed 3 tables of 2 people TOTAL and two single gentleman sitting g at the breakfast bar. Clearly not busy at all. In my mind, what's the difference in making a meal to go or meal to dine in at this point? Your empty dining room should have allowed some courtesy to a walk in. 2 stars only because food is generally good. I downloaded this app just to make a review for this restaurant... That's how amazing of an experience we had. The owner of this restaurant, Paul, was an absolute delight. He was able to accommodate both my gluten and lactose allergy -- providing me with endless food options. If you are in the area, I would highly recommend it. The good was amazing (gluten free & all). The service from the waitresses was fair, but what really touched me was the care and service the owner of this restaurant provided to me and my family. I was in Somerset for vacation and I received better service and food accommodations here than in any other restaurant I've ever been to back home in Florida. Food was alright. Service was despicable. We came in with a medium sized group. One person from our party arrived before the rest of us and saved a table. When we got there a woman with short blonde hair was very rude telling us "we dont have room for you but I guess I will figure it out" with a sigh and eye roll. Then we were happy to see that she would not be our server. Until Laurie, our server approached with the same crap attitude, sighing, eye rolling and throwing our change down on the table..
