I bought my Protege over 6 years ago at Roger Beasley Mazda Central. My experience the day we bought the car was swift and pleasant...fortunately they have a great service department. Lets face it, car repair issues are never awesome. They're heinous- expensive and time consuming. Matt Czarnocki is my service advisor there. I think he has a tough job, and is great at it. He's always super polite and helpful. Its nice to feel good about where you're leaving your car for repairs. read more

I had a great experience on Saturday with Roger Beasley Mazda! My 2015 Cx 5 had two recalls that needed to be worked on and needed an oil change. I thought it was going to take 3 hours and they were able to get all the work done in under two hours! I waited the whole time so I was thrilled it was done so quickly. They also have snacks and popcorn in the waiting area to enjoy while you wait! I had my dogs with me and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the wifi only worked with certain websites. I had planned on watching Netflix while I waited and the connection wasn't strong enough for it to work. Thanks for taking care of my car! read more

Wasted my time. Had a $5,000 down pymt to put on an $8,000 car. They added a warranty and would only accept $3500 down. Total price of the car after financing for 72 months........ over $17,000. What a joke. I suppose they thought I was born yesterday. It's one thing to make a profit, it's another to try and ream a mother and daughter. read more

This review is regarding used car sales. I saw a 2010 Hyundai Elantra Touring online and was contacted by Jake, an internet specialist on Thursday evening. We scheduled an appointment to test drive the car for Saturday afternoon. When I showed up as planned, I learned that the car sold on Friday. This was a big disappointment as I made plans and assumed someone at the dealership was notified that I would be coming in for a test drive. The sales staff was kind and apologized. They showed me another car, but it was not what I wanted. I contacted Jake to let him know of my experience. I appreciate that he tried to help me look for a similar car, but I had already purchased from another dealership. If a car is sold before a scheduled appointment, it would be great customer service to notify any potential buyers before they come to the dealership. Lesson learned: When searching for cars, ALWAYS call the dealership to make sure they still have the car in stock. The market moves quickly in Austin; I had two cars sell before I was able to test drive them. read more

I've been slowly researching a new car purchase for about 9 months, and in that time, I've visited a lot of dealerships around Austin and San Antonio, and I've had a lot of bad experiences with pushy sales force, inaccurate advertisements, and outright lies. But I can honestly say that Roger Beasly Mazda Central was the best of them all. I was always treated fairly, they always had time for me (despite my lengthy research phase.) Their hours of operation were better then anyone else's (which is important when your juggling kids and a job,) and their selection of vehicles was excellent. In the end, the best evidence of their excellence I can give, is that I felt comfortable enough to buy my new car from them (I'm the proud owner of a new Mazda6.) I'm looking forward to evaluating the service department side of the organization in the future. read more

Zsolt in the service department went above and beyond for me. I had a little bit of an issue that could have been blown off, but he chose to help. I might be purchasing another car soon with my partner, and if/when I do I will remember the good, honest treatment. read more

This place was ridiculous. The salesmen are pushy and unprofessional. Their available preowned inventory was trash and most looked like they had zero work done to refresh them. They tried to sell us a car sight unseen then got upset and mocked us when we said no. FYI, their "happy price" is total bs, they will take money off if they by see a deal slipping. Very much "used car salesmen" vibe here. The store was near empty so this could be desperation, who knows. read more

Our experience with Roger Beasley Mazda was so good that my husband wrote a letter to Mr. Beasley to thank and recognize our sales person (Mark) and the rest of the staff at the dealership. Thanks to Mark, we were treated like the educated adult shoppers that we are. That's a refreshing experience at a car dealership. We experienced no games, no hassle, and no run-around (unlike what we experienced at another brand just down the road). We were given a fair price along with every bonus/incentive conceivable. (ditto) Mark treated us like the best customers he'd ever had. The finance director handled our transactions quickly. While he offered the other services available through Mazda, he was not pushy about any of them. We've been "fans" of Mazda for a while. We are now finally owners and are thrilled with the purchase, the price paid, the product, the service, and the whole experience. zoom-zoom read more

The sales experience was very good, but the after sales service, even with a scheduled appointment, was abysmally slow. It took me less than an hour to buy a car, and over 4 hours (and counting!) just for a service. At the 4.5 hour mark, I was told that they hadn't even completed 5% of the work. read more

the problem is the sales guy not roger beastly! the sales person is horrible ( michael) he needs to get talked to. left me on read for 5 hours & i had to text him back! no apologies or nothing i literally waited 5 hours for him to say "im off", not the salesperson i would buy from again 100% read more

Really unimpressed with this dealership. The way the sales people conduct themselves is outrageous. This all started back in Feb when i tried to buy a 2021 Mazdas 3 Hatchback turbo.. I had to find this car on my own as the Central dealership couldn't;wouldn't search for other cars out of state to trade with. So i started doing business with the Georgetown dealership. They found a 2021 3 turbo in Polymetal grey (the exact color I was wanting). I went up to dallas with the Porter, and got back to the dealership, only to find out that the entire deal they put together was totally ruined. They were supposed to buy my car from me, but they included it as a trade. I'm glad I asked when I should be receiving my check, and that was when he informed me about that. Fast forward to now, I went in to find out about 3's coming in. They had a black on red one that I was interested in and wanted to put a deposit down, but they said because I had been there too many times, that I couldn't. My salesman and I still kept a civil relationship as it was the finance director who said that, until i get a random texts saying to not call the dealership again and to only come in if I'm going to buy a car as I've wasted everyone's time. I never wasted anyone's time. Most of the times going in there were to see about inventory and such, but I'm really annoyed that they would say that. Hanny was my salesman, so i would avoid him. read more

A few days ago, I had an appointment for my 60,000 mile maintenance. My husband and I dropped off the car and headed out. Long story short, there was a miscommunication in the price since I had a few other things done at the same time. Leaving the dealership, I wasn't mad, but I wasn't extremely happy either. It was just an "eh" feeling. Instead of the dealership just letting me feel so-so about the experience, a manager got in contact with me and went over and beyond my expectations. I'm not joking when I say over and beyond. He could have just called and apologized and I would have felt better, but they really helped me out. I even brought my car back in today to get new rotors and brakes. They started on time, finished in a timely fashion and were very helpful. Sitting in the waiting area this time, while the work was being completed - I noticed the service guys coming in and constantly keeping the customers updated. They were showing them parts and why they needed to be replaced so the customer felt at ease and not scammed. This was the same for me - they showed me the rotors and another part that had to be replaced. I noticed they offer shuttles (rides to work, home etc). I also noticed the casual work environment they have. The sales people can wear dark shorts with a white polo which I thought was neat and made me feel comfortable for some reason - like I am amung friends, not some Joe Blow in a suit trying to sell people cars. What I'm getting at is, this dealership is a different kind of dealership. It's no pressure, no hassle and the people (even management) really care about the customers. I've honestly never been to a dealership that made me feel like I wanted to come back for all my car needs. Also, their service prices don't seem to be super steep either like other dealerships. They seem to be right inline with chain shops such as oil changes and brake replacements. Thank you to the guys who helped me out today. You're the reason a business is successful. read more

Buying a car sucks. Car salesmen, trying to figure out how to pay for a vehicle, playing the game--it all sucks. I didn't feel pressured to buy anything during my first visit and they helped me find exactly what I wanted. When I really couldn't make up my mind they let me drive the vehicle around for a couple of hours and go to lunch with my parents to see if I really wanted it or not. All and all I had a great experience. read more

What is the point of having an appointment if it's takes over an hour and a half to complete a 20 minute car inspection? Edit: I very much appreciated that the employees acknowledged the outrageous wait time and comped my inspection costs as well as an oil change for a future visit. My hope is that things go much smoother next time. Thank you! read more

Called to make an appointment bc my car kept showing "Keyless System Malfunction" after having a key fob replaced. Service scheduled me for Saturday at 10:30am. I arrive and Taylor without even looking at my vehicle tells me it's $185 to run a diagnostic and I have to leave my car to be seen until Monday because they only can change oil on Saturdays. When I called I explained my problem so why schedule me for Saturday if they can only do lube work on Saturday's. Why couldn't Taylor come look at my car to see exactly what the problem was. Her instant response was $185 to just figure out what the problem is. Then whatever additional cost to repair the problem. Definitely going to another Mazda dealer where someone actually cares to see the problem before charging me. And a dealership that is more considerate of my time. I drove in from Cedar Park for this appointment to be told we only do oil work on Saturday's. read more

It had been 13 years since I bought a car and it was time. I had starting seeing the Mazda 3 Hatchbacks around and decided to test drive one this past Monday. I made my initial inquiry online and then was assigned a salesperson. My work day freed up early and I went in that afternoon. Wayne was my sales rep and he was easygoing and personable. We went for a test drive and they jotted down a quick offer for the car and my trade and I left. I called the next day with a counter offer and had an email on Wednesday morning saying they had met my offer. I went in to do the loan paperwork (most of the information for which Wayne took over the phone) so I was only in the dealership for about 2 hours. Sure, it was about an hour longer than I wanted to wait but given that the finance folks hadn't had my information all that long, it's not too bad. No one was pushy or overzealous and I drove out with my new car 2 days after test driving it. I think sometimes we make things overly complicated. Both the dealer and the buyer but my experience was really painless and I love my new whip! read more

Re: approach: Entire process was easy and exactly what I want from a car buying experience: not salesy, not high pressure, no nauseating bullshit like "but maam, we are losing money on this deal" - they treat you like an intelligent human. Re: price: I was skeptical that RB would be my cheapest option as they are the only mazda dealership in town, hence I worried they wouldnt have to be competitive. I emailed several dealerships in Houston, stating what I wanted under what financial terms. They were not able to get me the numbers I wanted, and RB, simply, did. Re: selection: you can verify this yourself by googling and searching dealer inventories but RB - as expansive as they are (I think 3 different Mazda dealerships?) easily came through with the most color, trim, etc options. Specific staff that I'd send friends/family to without hesitation: Edwin our 'product specialist' (sales guy who greets you in the lot and is the expert on the actual car, trim, options, etc), Brandon the finance manager (got the price I wanted), and Rusty is (I think) one of the store managers - he will make the actual signing of papers and final details a breeze. read more

This was my first time buying a car (I had been driving my grandmother's '97 oldsmobile for 6 years) and so I was pretty overwhelmed by all of the decisions. I ended up buying a Mazda 3 hatchback here from Al Martignago who was SO helpful and did not make me feel pressured at all. He did not try to sell me any weird upgrade packages or anything else I did not need. I'm a recent college grad and I really don't need to be paying hundreds of dollars for features I don't even understand. Every single person I talked to there was so nice and I really felt that they were legitimately looking out for my best interests at the same time as running their business properly. I would definitely recommend this dealership to anyone, especially people like me who don't want to deal with any haggling or attempts at upselling. They also made me feel very welcomed to come back to give me a tutorial on how to use everything, which is much better than going through a huge owner's manual! And even though I was there on a Saturday past close to finish up paperwork, nobody made me feel rushed or like I was annoying them! I couldn't even imagine better service. read more

Donnie Little and Edwin Martinez took such great care of me while I shopped for and purchased a new Mazda 3. They were informative, honest, relaxed, and friendly. At no time did I feel any pressure. Donnie has many years of experience and offered me the most useful, helpful advice. He really helped me choose the right vehicle; and I'm just thrilled with the choice. Edwin oriented me very thoroughly and patiently to my new car, even though I picked it up near closing time in freezing weather. The sales manager, Rusty, was a hoot too - a clear communicator and easy to work with. Five+ stars for these guys. In the weeks since my purchase, they've followed up and made themselves available to answer my questions. I've had to visit the service department once. I scheduled an appointment and got in and out faster than they estimated with good communication. (A comfy waiting area helped, too.) It looks like scheduling in advance and explaining clearly what you'd like or expect will be the way to go here. Plus I really value the central location. No need to travel to the 'burbs. I will add that the finance guy was kind of pushy and assertive. I think that's his job, so I went in prepared and patiently worked with him through the process. It took quite a bit longer than expected, but I came away with solid deal. They even got me a better loan rate than my credit union - most unexpected! My recommendation is to do your research (I joined Consumer Reports for one month and also researched other sources), and go in rested and unhurried. Know your (a) budget, (b) what you need/want, and (c) where you can be flexible. Stick to those things, even if it means walking away. If you're car shopping, good luck to you! read more

Do you commute into Austin for work? If so, do not take your car to Mazda Central, even if it is within spitting distance of your car needing repair. No loaner vehicle, no shuttle willing to drive you toward the direction of your home, AND their limited WiFi will not allow you to access your company's website because they deem it a waste of bandwidth. Fortunately, I had access to Yelp to craft a review of the pitiful customer service experience I've received. After speaking with one incompetent service member who is spending more time talking with her co-workers than explaining to me my options, I was able to find a service rep who was at least willing to explain to me that Mazda will not offer me any options for making my way home. It gives me flashbacks to when I tried to shop for a vehicle at this dealership. Fortunately, I had the good sense to walk away and buy the vehicle I wanted for $3k less at the Mazda Dealership in Round Rock. read more

This review is regarding the Service Department. I took my Mazda3 in for an oil change the other day and it took well over an hour.. ok fine, things happen, they get busy I'm sure, but, I had an appointment and was told it would only take 30 minutes. After walking impatiently around the service area (I had a meeting to catch) they finally said my car was ready.... waited another 20 minutes, because, well it wasn't really ready! Finally, my car is ready and as I am about to pay, the guy hands me a repair quote and told me I needed over $1000 worth of repairs (cracked/broken motor mount, dirty air filter, cracked belts, to name a few). I smelled something fishy and sure enough I was correct. My master mechanic friend looked at my car and said there was nothing wrong with it; the things they mentioned as needing repair were fine, and rightfully so... my car only has 60k miles on it. Shame on Roger Beasley Mazda for trying to fool me into paying $1000k for repairs that were not necessary. I will never go back and will probably never buy a Mazda so long as I am in Austin and you're in business. read more

Making a major life purchase is a big deal, and Chan Yam at Roger Beasley Mazda Central made it so much easier for us! When the car we saw online had sold, he helped us find another, had it transferred and in our garage the next day! I made an appointment to test drive a new Mazda this past weekend and went in this past Saturday. I had told Roger Beasley's internet specialist, Debbie, that I was interested in leasing but hadn't decided between the automatic and manual models yet. When I got to the dealership, Raymond was waiting for me and it was obvious that the staff had communicated with each other. I test drove both models, and Raymond had plenty of helpful comments about each one without pressuring me toward either. I was also nervous that they might try to pressure me into financing instead of leasing, but that didn't happen. Every person I met at Roger Beasley was extremely helpful (Raymond, Rusty the manager, Aaron in finance and Manny in service) and totally willing to answer any questions I had since this was my first time buying a car on my own. I brought my husband with me to the appointment because I was worried about a high-pressure sales environment, but my experience was exactly the opposite. The only option I added on to the car was a navigation system, and that decision was based on Raymond's honest comments about it. No upselling on other options or more expensive trim packages. The inventory here is great as well - they had the trim, color and interior I wanted, in a manual transmission, at the warehouse right down the road. This is a great dealership for a first-time buyer! read more

I purchased a new Mazda and the salesman Michael was great! He was very helpful and patient with my indecisive self. Things turned bad a couple days later when I got my loan info and saw it was $7k more than it should have been. Bought my car here almost a month ago. Daniel, the sales representative, was funny and friendly. We had some issues but they took care of them. The car looks great, and I had a great time. But the reason Ian not giving the full 5 star is the fact that despite having friendly and good sales people on the ground, the supervisors are not that friendly and when I was talking to Daniel's supervisor I did not feel welcome there. Wayne Hamilton is AWESOME! I walked into Roger Beasley with no intention of buying a Mazda. A few days later there are 2 new Mazda's in my driveway. I had seen the new Mazda3 on the road, and thought it had a nice look. I went to Mazda's website and found that it was extremely affordable as well. So the next step was to take it for a test drive. Wayne approached me and my girlfriend as we walked into the showroom, and seemed really nice and listened to our needs and wants without pushing anything on us. After my test drive, my girlfriend wanted to test drive the new CX-3. Wayne did not make us sit through a lengthy sales pitch or anything, but rather showed us a few cars that were currently available. I test drove a few other car brands (Ford, Subaru, & Honda), but Mazda definitely had the most bang for your buck. Even the base version had the entertainment center, backup camera, push-button start, and a sport-mode for the automatic (I optioned for the 6-speed Mazda3-i hatchback, which is super fun to drive and roomier than it appears). And then Wayne sent me an offer I couldn't refuse. Needless to say, we went back in and both bought new Mazda's from Wayne. Even his sales manager (Sunni) was kind, helpful, and not pushy. We also found out that Roger Beasley offers some great customer services including a free oil change, free check-engine light diagnostics, and a great rewards program (and more). All-in-all I am 100% satisfied with my purchase and would recommend Wayne Hamilton at Roger Beasley to anyone interested in a new car. In fact, we already recommended him to one stranger that came up to us in the parking lot last night asking about our new CX-3 for his daughter. Our only problem now is deciding who gets to drive when we go places together. read more

We recently bought a new Mazda 3 here. We got a wonderful deal working with Caleb, one of the sales people. We love the car! I really don't know what in the world happened with this particular location, but they have never exhibited such unprofessional behavior before. I have purchased few vehicles in Roger Beasley Mazda and never encountered staff that was so rude and unprofessional. First of all, their payment system changed for the worst. I had used the credit card to make down-payments for ALL my previous purchases. This time I was told that I need to bring the written check. When asking why can't I just give them my account details such as routing number I was told that few people tried to scam them by canceling their payment later, and I was essentially called a potential fraudster. Fine, ok, I can understand that. I asked when should I bring the check and was told that I had to do it the next day as soon as I can make it to the dealership. Apparently they were making an exception. Fine, if it's company policy, there's nothing that can be done about it. Or so I thought. However, as soon as I walked into the entrance next day, I was asked what did I even come here for since car is not ready yet. I responded that I was told to being the check in THAT day and finish making down-payment and filling out paperwork. Well, it turns out that a salesman gave me the wrong directions and he refused to apologize. He was acting very dismissive and rude throughout the whole ordeal. That's an extremely unprofessional behavior. You don't laugh at someone's face for asking questions or being upset because YOU screwed up and said the wrong thing. Fine, I bit my tongue and left. My son who was with me the whole time, called the office as we were driving back home and had 30 minute long chat with the manager. He was being very polite and calmly explained why we got upset, however the manager did not seem to take the feedback into account as we received exactly the same level of treatment next day. We had to wait in line for nearly 3 hours before we finally got summoned to financing manager's office. 3 HOURS. All of the other business establishments typically inform you that you may have to wait at least some time if you're that far in queue and you typically just leave them your phone number and go elsewhere with them calling you right before it's your turn. Guess what? Nobody offered that. And they did not even apologize. When I asked them how much longer I had to wait, I was dismissed and the salesman just laughed in my face. This kind of behavior is absolutely appalling. This is how you lose the customers. I would have walked out if I did not need the car ASAP. And they did not seem to do anything to actually prepare the car for the new owner. They did not change tires, they did not make sure that all electronics are working (it turned out that blind spot sensors are off), they DID NOT EVEN FILL THE TANK UP! The only person whom I can complement was the financing manager. He was very polite and apologized for the wait, had all documents prepared, and had professional demeanor in general. This is the only positive aspect of the service. The rest of this can be described as going through nine circles of hell. Last time I had to deal with this level of service USSR was still around. I am fairly confident that this was my last visit to Roger Beasley Mazda Central as I have no desire to take my money or vehicle there. They used to be great, but they've turned into the mess. read more

This location of the dealership just sucks from sales to parts to service. Just rude impatient and lacking in knowledge. Done with them

Everything started out great with Mick helping us out with our first time experience. Other members were a little pushy and sales-driven throughout the rest of the process, but that wasn't a big deal or a surprise coming into it. What disappointed me was that as Mick was riding with us to fill our first tank of gas, on them-- we spotted a ding on the trunk that hadn't been there the day before. On a brand new 2018 Mazda 3. Even then, Mick said they'd take care of it, no problem, no cost. Mick was super friendly and available until it came time to schedule the repair. My husband had trouble getting a hold of him, but no worries, we'd just reach out to another member. Shamire Flowers became our next point of contact and said he didn't know whether the ding was there before or after, and instead of doing some quick verifying with his employees, said he was only going to offer to get the ding fix and give me some paint samples so I could do the paint job LOL. This was after he tried to say that he couldn't do anything about it because it had been over a month- which it hadn't and even if it had, his employee dodged us for 3 weeks. Of course, by this point I'm annoyed. Shamire for whatever reason was offended by my frustration as if it weren't his job as management to ensure the integrity of the company and was extremely rude and made the whole experience even worse over the phone. After not helping and hanging up on a bad note telling me he was the only management I was able to talk to, less than a literal minute later he calls back with a change of heart. "How about this, how about we fix up your ding AND your paint? HOW ABOUT THIS, how about we REPLACE YOUR ENTIRE TRUNK?" *someone seems to have realized something at this point*. To which I (honestly, really kindly) reminded him of his previous disrespectful and unhelpful behavior, and said I'd be taking care of the situation myself. Beaux, the general manager then handled the rest really professionally with great customer service and grace. Still probably wouldn't recommend the dealership, unfortunately. read more

What a DUMP of a Dealership. First I got there and it looks more like a USED car lot. The cars are VERY Dusty, looked not clean and ready to move. My wife and I ventured through the lot and NOT ONE person cam to ask if we needed any assistance. I think we were there for about 20 minutes before we said, let's get out of here. My wife went inside to use the restrooms and found all the sales folks hanging out inside. Even then, no one asked if she needed any help. This dealership felt very GHETTO. So we left. Don't waste your time here....Would never go to this place again. The manager is worst of all. Do not respect individual and rude as hell. Just because of him I do not feel like buying Mazda anymore. Will not recommend this place to anyone. Even if they are last car dealer on earth I would not go in and will keep my money. May be go to other Mazda locations if you really stuck on Mazda. --- Update --- Yes, I did ask for $2k less as part of negotiation then came with only $500 less which Manager kind of agreed with. But the way he behaved is not I expected his attitude was like I am even making you a favor selling at list price. And did not keep his word, my only problem was the way he acted "THIS IS MY PRICE", there is always a better tone of saying than being rude. As a salesperson he should watch that, I been nice to him even when I was visting. read more

Bad customer service every time I call to schedule an oil change or any service on my car. The service folk are always nice once I'm there(hence the two stars) but good luck getting a decent attitude over the phone.
