Before he started he talked to me explaining the procedure and the use of novocaine shots to numb the area. He emphasized I was to tell him if I felt any pain and he would inject more novocaine until I had NO pain. He kept his word and I thanked him for using small stitches- I was impressed By his technique.I am seeing him tomorrow so he can remove the stitches! I went to Quest this morning for a blood draw, and once again, it was a very frustrating…read moreexperience. Before arriving, I drank about 2 liters of water to help with the process, but it made no difference. As soon as I was called in, I clearly explained to the technician that I consistently have difficulty with blood draws. I told her that my right arm does not produce blood and that my left arm is very difficult. In my last three visits, I was stuck at least three times each time, and they always had to call the most experienced staff member to complete the draw. I even mentioned that during my last visit, they had to recline me with my legs elevated and use a hot pack on my arm just to get it done. Based on that history, I respectfully asked if I could be assisted directly by the most experienced technician. Instead of listening, she became defensive and insisted she knew what she was doing. She proceeded anyway and, as expected, was unable to draw blood. She moved the needle around repeatedly and applied excessive pressure, causing unnecessary discomfort, and still did not succeed. When I reminded her that I had explained this beforehand, she blamed my veins, saying they are too small and "move." She then insisted on trying my right arm, which I had already clearly refused because it has never worked. I had to firmly repeat that I would not allow it. At that point, she became visibly irritated. Only after all of this did she finally bring in a more experienced staff member, who was able to draw my blood successfully. This is not an isolated incident. It has become a pattern at Quest, and I have already reported similar experiences in previous surveys. This situation is completely avoidable. My request is simple: please document in my profile that I am a difficult draw and should be handled by the most experienced technician available. This would prevent unnecessary pain, repeated needle sticks, and stressful interactions for both patients and staff. On top of all this, the same technician added my credit card to my profile and set it for automatic charges without my knowledge or consent. At no point did she ask for my permission or explain that she was doing this. This is completely unacceptable and a serious breach of trust.

I was looking for an estimate on 17 different lab tests as I do not have insurance, and despite the office already being closed, she took the time to help me and provided the full estimate right then and there. She TYPED each 17 test code on the computer! I've honestly never experienced that level of service before. She was incredibly helpful, patient, and professional. I really wish I had gotten her name, because she absolutely deserves a raise and recognition for going above and beyond. Huge thanks to her and to LabCorp for having such amazing staff. Not only are they timely, but they are friendly, professional, and beyond helpful. I was particularly impressed with the two young ladies that I had interaction with Marta and Toi. Marta smiled and greeted me and everyone with such a welcoming attitude even at 6:30 in the morning. The facility is located off Spanish River Boulevard And University just north of the FAU campus. There was plenty of parking right in front and the facility. My appointment was March 4 at 10 AM. The facility looks very nice when you walk inside. The waiting room is welcoming and very clean and it wasn't very crowded. I still had to wait about 15 minutes before they called my name. They never sent me any information for pre-registration and there was no place on their website to add any of my information. Checking in took a while because the poor woman behind the desk was multitasking and helping everyone else. Once they had my insurance and payment information, it was quick before I was seen. The technician was excellent and so friendly, My first impression was...this technology is old. It does the job, but it's old. Now, today is April 3 and I still do not have the results from that CT scan. I was able to get it from my doctors office so I know everything is fine. BUT you're dealing with people's health. I left two messages to get the results of the scans with NO Response. Finally I was able to reach someone who said I could come and pick up the paperwork. No one said that I needed to pick up the radiologists results during my appointment. So let me say this AGAIN ... you're dealing with people's health. They need to know the results as soon as they are available.
