As I was a "walk-in" and not dripping blood on the floor, I fully expected a long wait to see a doctor. I was wrong. After I described my symptoms, I was immediately conducted to an examination room. Within a few minutes, I was being taken care of. Everyone there treated me like a human being rather than a set of symptoms, and it was only after I'd had a CT scan and a full blood chemistry was I even asked about my medical insurance. It's so nice to find a medical center that has its priorities in the right order. In particular, I'd like to cite Dr. Patrick Davison and nurse "RB" for being the very model of what is deemed "considerate care."

JFK, Overall I think this hospital is very professional and efficient. All staff was helpful. However, on the 3rd floor 3rd tower a patient asked for a change of gown and the staff never brought it. It was upsetting to the patient with fever and chills. It took all day to get medication of antibiotics approved. Where the delay was, I have no idea. I checked in at the nurses station and it helped get the process going. The other thing is the patient was hooked up on IV and requested to use the bathroom. No one came. The patient had to wait till am from night before to use the bathroom. Maria (PLT) spoke spanish. Was very efficient and kind to patient. Amor (PLT) was nice too Kaven Brown, RN I didn't meet her so I can't speak about her. Discharge was smooth. Not too much of a wait. The personnel at the front desk check in were so nice. They gave great directions to 3rd tower north,

Because he had a private room, he was able to control the TV just like he does at home, which made him feel a little more at ease. I was impressed by how genuinely the staff seemed to care about him. Even the charge nurse I spoke with was helpful and took the time to answer my questions, even though she was busy. The hospital itself was immaculate, but what stood out most was the compassion and care from the staff. I appreciate everyone who took such great care of my friend during a very difficult time.

The woman at the front desk of the ER was very welcoming and polite to me and every one else that I watched come into the ER. They have you fill out one paper form and then a link is sent to your phone to sign other intake forms which was convenient, but I do wish I got a downloadable copy of what I signed. The wait in the ER lobby was about an hour until I got taken back to have my vitals grabbed and told I'd be sent to a room soon and then was sent back into the lobby to wait for another hour. They do have an RN that politely walks around the lobby checking on the people waiting and nicely asking what their symptoms are to see if there's any more urgency. I've never come through the ER before but I feel like 2 hours to get to a bed wasn't so bad considering it was a Friday night. I came in around 8 and was into an ER bed by 10:00. Shout out to whoever came in (forgot her name) who was so eager to answer my questions and even had someone else come in to verify my questions regarding insurance benefits and my concern for care costs. Shout out to my ER nurse named St. Luis who was holding it down in her pod with a good attitude, and let me annoy her about the placement of my IV line 2/3 times. But I did stay in that ER bed from 10:30 until they admitted me into an actual hospital room at 3:30AM. I felt like that was a really long time especially because I couldn't sleep due to the lights and the constant beeping/chaos of the ER. Not sure if that is a typical wait time or not but when I asked they said they were still waiting on a hospital room to be assigned, and I didn't get the anxiety medication I asked for around 11:00 until 3:30 when they moved me. I'm removing 1 star because as I was walking into the bathroom a nurse cut me to dispose of a full bed pain of someone's bloody urine into the toilet and left blood on the seat so I found a new bathroom. The second bathroom has piss all around the toilet which I inevitably got on my shoes and pajama pants so make sure you're wearing something with a tapered leg if you know you're coming in and some shoes you don't care about. There were also no seat covers in that bathroom which I feel like is needed in the sets My bed also didn't have any pillows or blankets, luckily I brought my own because it was freezing. I also noticed dried blood and just general uncleanliness on the handles of the ER bed.

I knew I treated the best I could, and I went there today for proper treatment. There were no patience there other than myself, and I waited a half an hour to be brought into a room When I entered, there was no one at the front desk and no one acknowledged me from the desk at the distance .The woman at the front desk was annoyed that I asked for help when I was registering. She smiled the 30 min I sat there. I was brought into a room. The nurse practitioner saw me. I explained what it happened and what I had done to help my wound heal well I received a tetanus shot as I should because I didn't know when I had my last one. She asked me what I wanted her to do so I told her I wanted to remove the Steri-Strips that I had put on there clean the wound and replace the Steri-Strips so that the skin that was injured wounds will heal together. A lovely Medical Assistant then came in, wearing a beautiful smile. She took care of her job and the nurse practitioner came back to tell me she did order an anabiotic and an anabiotic cream. Aren't she gonna have the assistant put stereo strips on the two areas and have them covered Medical system comes back in, and I say a totally different type of wound care. When I asked about the stair strips, she told me they had them on there. She placed a ridiculous bandage on my finger. (Not her fault) How can an urgent care who treats Scotts, bruises, lacerations, etc. not have the proper wound care for something that I have What was done to my finger will not help my wound heal properly as it doesn't close the open areas I did end up, going to the drugstore and buying over over-the-counter wound enclosures My experience was awful. My waiting time was way too long when there was no one else there but me the unfriendliness when you walk in is not an inviting environment. I would never go to this urgent care again !!

A man experiences severe back pain, so bad that he cannot get out of his truck or walk and calls…read more911. EMTs pick him up & give fentanyl on the way to JFK Main ER. He arrives at the ER & vitals are taken. According to the medical records, the pain "started at work after heavy lifting". The man never got out of his truck, never made this statement. (Record also states he is a "current every day smoker". The man has never smoked a cigarette in his life.) They send him for a CT scan, which just shows some degenerative changes". The nurse sticks a lidocaine patch on his back. Then no one comes to see him. A nurse walks by & a family member asks has anyone taken his BP recently. Her reply,"Did you ask him?", meaning the patient. What kind of snarky response is that??? The ER was not busy, but the patient, with the fentanyl wearing off, is now extremely uncomfortable. The ER physician, Dr. S comes in to tell the patient he's being discharged. The family member tells the doctor that the patient complained of urgency & painful urination that morning. The doctor tells them to go have his prostate checked. NO LABS WERE DONE. A simple urinalysis would've shown that the patient had a UTI. There was tenderness in the right lower back area. But Dr. S ignores this and sends the man home. T - temperature (normal) I - Infection (painful urination) M - Mental Decline (patient was anxious & "tired" by discharge) E - Extremely Ill (patient felt the worse he's felt in his life with severe pain) TIME - the signs of SEPSIS. In fact, during the Severe Sepsis Screening, male RN SG, documented YES on the heart rate, which was 128 on admission, & 127 on discharge. DO NOT GO TO THE ER at JFK MAIN. Some pee in a cup. Just a simple CBC. These tests were never done & would've shown that this man had sepsis. Instead, he was discharged. By the head of the ER. After only an hour being home, the man was taken by his family to their local hospital where immediately a sepsis alert was called. An E coli infection from the urinary system... He was admitted & started immediately on IV antibiotics. Remained in the hospital, where they also discovered a mass on the patient's bladder. Cancer. A complaint against Dr. S was filed with the FL DOH. But HCA has a lot of money & great lawyers. Nothing is on record about the complete oversight by Dr. S. He gets to practice emergency medicine forever. This hospital was once known to be the best cardiac hospital in PBC. Since HCA took over, it is not #1 anymore. Even their top cardiothoracic surgeon got the heck out of there. AVOID. AVOID. AVOID.

I called the number on the flyer. It was a saturday, so they were closed, but the message assured me that their voicemail is checked twice a day. However, no one ever returned my call.

He listened carefully, asked what I needed, and acted quickly. I have a rare disorder, and after living with it for 17 years, it's unfortunately uncommon to find a doctor who both understands and follows through. Dr. Feliciano did exactly that--he listened, respected my input, and responded promptly with care. After a very difficult hospital experience over the weekend, this visit was a complete contrast. Every single person I interacted with was kind, respectful, and treated me like a human being--not just another patient. I left feeling heard, supported, and with clear answers. I also now know which specialist to follow up with for some new symptoms, which gave me a sense of direction and relief. I'm very grateful for the level of care and compassion I received here.

But right now, we are experiencing difficulty getting a Specialist in-office diagnostic procedure approved by the referral department because the referral dept has no idea of what they are doing and Sanitas is not familiar with this-with ordering in office diagnostic procedures. I need to speak with Jacksonville and there is no way to get a hold of them anymore. I've had the scan done in 2020 and in 2022- no problem getting the referrals. I was hand given the prescription by the specialist to go give it to my PCP who then ordered the referral from BCBS. Both times approved right away. This time, Sanitas is saying they cannot order a procedure and being denied by BCBS referral dept. The specialist is saying they cannot do it. I need to have this scan every 2 years. I just wrote to the VP of BCBS Health Services. Let's see if she answers me. This is ludicrous. If I end up going to an outpatient diagnostic center, this will cost me alot of out of pocket expenses, whereas in the specialist office it cost nothing.

At around 458, I asked the receptionist how much longer it would be before I was seen. I wasnt seen until about 515. I was taken to an office (didnt even seem like an exam room, but an actual office) where the nurse asked me some questions & did a swab test. I was then taken to an exam room where the doctor eventually came in. He asked me if I remembered who he was & I said yes, but I hadnt remembered his name. (This was the 2nd time I met with him since March of this year.) His response to me was that I didnt remember who he was because I didnt care about him. I just responded back "ok." That was a weird comment to make, but I was running late for work & needed some medicine for a cough that I'd been dealing with for a few weeks now so I tried to move past the awkward moment. I was then told that I had tested positive for the flu. He went over the medication that he was going to prescribe me. Things took another turn again when he asked me if I was sexually active. I said no. He asked me when the last time I was. I answered his question. I told him it had been a few years. He then asked me WHY I wasnt sexually active. I was so shocked to be asked such a question. I responded with "what do you mean why?" He repeated the question again. I told him no. I told him that I had no reason to lie about my sexual history. He said "ok" in a tone as if he didn't believe what I told him. He then told me that I had to give a urine sample to make sure I wasnt pregnant. Once I was done, he said something along the lines of "make sure I dont have to end up calling you later." I suppose he was insinuating that he didnt trust what i told him about not being pregnant & that he would call me if the test came back positive. This appointment made me feel super uncomfortable. I suppose that he did need to know whether I was pregnant or not due to the medication that he would be prescribing me, but him asking me WHY I wasnt sexually active was weird and blatantly unprofessional. Why do I need a reason? Im a grown woman in her 30s. I dont need a reason not to be sexually active & I also shouldnt have to try to "convince" anyone that Im not pregnant. Why is that any of his business? I have a OBGYN. Needless to say, I ended up being super late to work because of the additional unnecessary interaction about harassing me about my sexual past and unnecessarily making me take a pregnancy test. I will be looking for another provider. If youre a woman who is looking for a professional setting to get care, I WOULD NOT RECOMMENDED Dr Joel Jules at Boynton Sanitas. Hes creepy & unprofessional. The office is beautiful and immaculate. The waiting room is spacious with a handful of stunning aquariums, including a large built-in aquarium that divides the room into two seating areas. There is a small kitchen area with bottled water kept cold in a mini fridge, a Keurig with K-Cups, and a few tables where you can sit and enjoy your coffee. It's those little extras that set this place apart. The medical care is excellent. The medical team is knowledgeable, thorough, and kind. The reception staff is welcoming, organized and very friendly. Being open seven days a week is convenient, and it's reassuring to know this level of care is available if you need it. Hopefully you will never need an urgent care, but if you do, I highly recommend this one. They are on Military, just North of Atlantic Ave, in the same plaza as Batteries Plus.

Finally, the office called and sent a new persciption. I went without diabetes medication for three weeks. I called the office when my blood sugar was in the 300"s and I couldn't get it down. First I was told the doctor would call me, I waited, no call. When my blood sugar got closer to 400 I called and explained what was happening and asked to speak with a nurse, I was transfered to voice mail, again no return call.
