I had ice tea and wife ordered the blood orange jenny drink; both were great and refreshing! I also ordered a loaf of their warmed sourdough and butter to share with the table. Almost like being in San Francisco! For dinner we decided to share a couple of things; the crab cakes, which comes with fried avocado and some of the best aioli for dipping. The cakes themselves are big and full of crab with just the right amount of filling to create a decadent and moist cake! We also shared the seared jumbo scallops...High Tides knows how to cook scallops to the best! So yummy and tender and perfectly cooked with that crispy outer and the soft, creamy inside. We also shared a Caesar salad and one of the things we love about this place...ask and you can get some fresh anchovy on the side to add to the salad. Wife always asks for more lemon as well to drizzle over the salad. Overall a fantastic dinner for us and everyone with us!

We were seated and the hostess cheerfully informed us, "Just as a warning, the air conditioning is dripping on that part of the bench, so you'll probably want to scoot over." She disappeared before we could process the fact that "sit next to the indoor rainstorm" was apparently a normal seating option. My wife had to chase her down to ask the obvious question. "Could we maybe sit at a table that isn't leaking?" While she was gone, our server came over. I pointed to the puddle beside me and asked if we could move to the empty table in front of us. She looked puzzled and said, "No, that's where it's leaking." I pointed back to the puddle literally touching our table. We were apparently trapped in competing realities. Eventually the manager came over, and asking to move to a dry table was treated like a wildly unreasonable request. After a long pause she said, "I guess we could move you over there. Would that be okay?" My response was, "If it's dry, we'll take it." Unfortunately, the service never recovered. The nightly special was introduced with, "We have trout." That was the entire presentation. No description. No price. Just... trout. When it was time to order, we were greeted with a very enthusiastic, "What do you want?" The finale came when we asked for a box. The same manager returned with a tiny container and said, "I don't know if it'll fit. Do you think it will? I'm not good with Tupperware." I honestly thought Ashton Kutcher was about to jump out from behind a ficus. To top it all off, the portions were surprisingly small for the price, and charging $7 for bread felt like the final plot twist. I've had disappointing meals before. I've had mediocre service before. I've just never had an entire evening feel like everyone had been handed different copies of the script. Needless to say, I don't think we'll be back.

Then I decided, let me browse seafood on maps and I seen this place, the menu had broil in the bags similar to the other two restaurants and since neither one of us had been here we decided to try it. Long story short now onto the real review of the place, parking is big, when I got to the place it didn't look like many cars. Which made me hope this place didn't disappoint; plus side was plenty of parking and no wait to sit. I got my booth while I waited for my friend I loved the interior it looked real clean and the decor was nice, the vibes were more calming and chill than rowdy(if you've been to angry crab or la crab shack you'll know what I mean). They have a huge bar with stools to sit at and booths. Now to the food, they had a broad menu seafood broil (the only reason I go to these places) and Asian like, such as sushi and other things to be honest I didn't pay attention, because I went for the seafood broil only and it's easy to order. I got head on shrimp, with house Cajun sauce, spicy, and added potatoes and sausage. It was so good!! If you like spicy it's perfect! It does have a kick, but good. When I got my bag the food was steaming I would take off a point on the sausage(don't get me wrong it was good! But when biting I would have to pull in order to break off I feel like it was the skin of the sausage being annoying) and they were thinly cut, but not worth taking a star off. The staff was friendly, I would return and I can't wait to bring my husband, let me add that the prices are great, they seemed cheaper than the other two places I mentioned above.

BEWARE. The atmosphere is the only good thing about this place…read more The restaurant looks charming, with unique Korean/Cajun décor and a beautiful indoor fish pond, but the food was HORRIBLE. We ordered the spicy shrimp and sausage boil and could barely eat it. When the server asked how everything was, we told her it was not good. Her response? "Sorry, we have a new cook who's training." Seriously?! So you KNOW the cook isn't ready, serve customers bad food anyway, and still charge full price? No replacement, no discount, no attempt whatsoever to make it right. They simply did not care. Cute pond. Terrible food. Even worse customer service. Save your money and go somewhere else.

I had a glass of the cabernet on HH ($10.50 for a 9 oz. pour) and thought it was very nice. We also had garlic knots, which were just ok for me. I like them softer and more buttery. I expected more tomatoes and stuff in the Diavolo Shrimp but the shrimp and broth went nicely with the crusty bread. I also got Margherita pizza, which wasn't my favorite but this is very much personal preference and I am very picky about pizza. Too much cheese and not the right cheese. But a nice amount of basil! My friends had the chicken parm and the short rib pasta and enjoyed them. They had a chocolate mousse as a dessert special which was tempting but alas I had over ordered already. Our server was attentive and friendly. All in all a nice neighborhood option with a varied menu for different preferences.

Details: my bf and I just stumbled upon this place by searching for Mexican food. I was looking for taco Tuesday but I didn't see any where on the menu that they had taco Tuesday. And we forgot to ask about it as well. I ordered the grilled octopus taco because I thought that was a very unique item on the menu that many other places don't have. Overall, I think the octopus didn't have much flavor but they do add in the sauce which tied everything together. But without it, the octopus would not have any flavor. All the tacos come with rice or beans as a set price regardless if u get the side or not. In addition, they also served some chips and salsa. This was very nice. They gave us a decent portion of chips and the salsa was slightly spicy and flavorful. Service was attentive and came to check on us if we needed anything. And our experience ended in a positively when we saw they reduce 20% for taco Tuesday so that was a plus. There were definitely other items on the menu I want, but that will be the next time I come back.

We got super lucky and were able to sit at the bar, open seating, with the TVs. There are regulars that come in and seem to have a good rapport with the staff and they love the food. It was a bit of a rush time and there was only one bartender so service was a bit slow. We did get some chips and salsa as we waited. Good chips, airy and crispy. The salsa was OK. I'm personally just not a fan of roasted salsa. Their beer was crisp and thoroughly cold which was refreshing. I tried the amor de mango and it was tasty. I can't remember my first drink either. It was a Paloma or a margarita, but i didn't enjoy as much, which is why I changed my next drink. The chimi trio was very tasty and full of flavor, one bean one chicken one beef, all good. Then we got the carnitas cheese crisp which was interesting and had good flavor. I would order both again. Service was pretty good. Like I said, the bartender was busy working by himself and when one of his coworkers noticed, we didn't have any more water then she would come by and help so that was appreciated. It s good date spot, or catching up with a friend or just grabbing a bite to eat and drink for yourself. I look forward to coming back and trying entrees. My only hope is that during the hot bright times they lower the shades and get more shades. Not only to reduce the sun coming in but also reduce the glare on the tv that way all spots at the bar are good spots.

You start off with complimentary homemade chips and salsa. The chips are always fresh and crispy, and the salsa has a delicious smoky flavor with just the right amount of heat. If you're looking for a good drink, the mango margarita is honestly one of the best I've had. The watermelon agua fresca is another favorite--it's crisp, refreshing, and has just the right amount of sweetness. As for the food, some of my favorites are the pozole, Pick Two Tacos, and the Famous Carnitas, which is also one of my husband's favorites. He usually goes for the Burro Combo, Chile Verde, or Famous Carnitas. You really can't go wrong with any of them! This time, I ordered the carnitas, and they were so good. The meat was seasoned perfectly, tender, and had a nice bite to it. The portion is also very generous, especially with the rice and beans. I almost always end up taking leftovers home, which is definitely a plus. The atmosphere is another reason I enjoy coming here. It's casual, comfortable, and relaxing, and they also have outdoor seating if you prefer to sit outside. If you're looking for a family-friendly spot with great food, generous portions, good drinks, and reasonable prices, definitely give this place a try. It continues to be one of my favorites!
