Double cheeseburger, add lettuce, no tomatoes, and fresh-cut fries

Hot burger and cold ketchup, a better combination than Shaq and Kobe. I got a double cheeseburger, which comes standard with tomato, onion, and pickles. I went with no tomatoes and add lettuce, which was excellent! Service was fast and excellent, we came during lunch time on a Saturday and there was hardly any wait. There is smoking allowed indoors, but it really wasn't an issue. Nice and friendly place, a perfect stop when driving.

Really enjoyed a fulfilling classic eggs and bacon breakfast with a warm welcoming fire to sit next to during a break from driving in the snow :) Fast and friendly service. Classic diner for those who especially enjoy diner explorations.

But when we got there, we were going back and forth about getting one large table for everyone, or a smaller table, and let the rest of the folks fend for their own table when they got there. The guy at the front knew our dilemma and said that our server could take our orders right away, and get the ordering process going, so we picked the bigger table. Well, that worked out horribly. We don't know if he didn't pass it on to our server or if she just didn't care, but everything took forever. ALL of our food came out at the same time, and then we were asking for our checks because we had somewhere we needed to be, it was like she downshifted into non-movement. Ruined a good meal.

Our waitress took our wine orders quickly and delivered them in minutes. We ordered the lunch pork chop and the BLTA. Food came fast and was delicious! The pork chop special actually consists of 2 chops! They were cooked perfectly, not tough, tender and juicy. The smashed potatoes contained cheese and green onion bits. The sauce was delicious. It also came with a side salad, see the picture I posted today. The BLTA was served with copious bacon, tomato and avocado with just the right amount of lettuce. If we return to Joplin we will definitely eat here again. It was our waitress's birthday and she was quite pleasant while giving great service.

The bar area is especially nice if you want to relax with a drink. The food here is consistently fantastic. The meat is incredibly tender and full of flavor, never dried out. My wife had the avocado toast. She said it was really good. Service was great and it's a neat atmosphere. It was a little loud because it's so busy. So if you want quiet, this isn't your place. My only complaint other than the over cooked eggs is the price. First, the menu prices are not updated. My meal said it was $19.00. In reality, it was $22.00. So it's pricy. Not really worth it for an every week place to eat in my opinion. I will probably only eat here on special occasions in the future. We spent just under $50.00 without tip. We had water to drink and I had a coffee. There are plenty of other places in Joplin with food priced more reasonably and that is just as good. It's definitely worth trying, just know it's pricy.

It seems the bill did not reflect the prices that were on the menu. Somehow a $11 turned out to be $13 or $14. Not sure how/why that happened. Service: Awesome Ambiance: Nice
