Stopped by for dinner on our way through Joplin. Glad we did! I ordered the new Chicken Potpie. I was warned that it would be bubbling hot because they cook it in the pizza oven, it wasn't a lie! I love my food hot! I even had to blow on it to cool it down. It wasn't perfection...only thing that would have been better is to have some potatoes in it, but it still was delicious. There was a good amount of chicken too, I'm stuffed and couldn't eat it all...I tried! Hubby had the Soy Glazed Salmon. It came with rice and broccoli. He really enjoyed it. It came highly recommended by Boston, our server. Great recommendation! Boston kept our drinks full and was very attentive. We will ask for his section when we are back in town. Very nice bar/restaurant vibe with bar seating, booths, and separate rooms for less noise. Lots of menu choices and my chicken teriyaki sandwich was good. I ordered chips as a side and they were homemade or like homemade. I had a lemonade bourbon cocktail which was ok. We were told we would have a 15 minute wait but did not wait that long. read more

Came in around 6 pm for dinner, we were seated promptly and greeted almost as quickly by our server, Faythe. Drink orders were delivered super fast, and she provided food recommendations when we asked. In terms of atmosphere, it typical brewery type setting. Think Applebee's, but nicer. The only complaint I have is that my seat cushion wasn't attached to the booth, do I kept sliding. Other than that, plenty of tvs which can be seen from most of the dining room, which would be nice for baseball or football game days. Started with the cheese curd appetizer. They looked like theyre actually fried on-site rather than being something that comes pre-made. Pretty tasty! Ordered the carnivore pizza for dinner. Naturally I forgot to take a photo of the pizza....Oops. But, it could be large enough for two people, or one very hungry person. My second Bricktown after visiting the one in Fort Smith, this was a full dinner with Mrs. K. as we're spending the week in Joplin. Lovely service and a great meal. Friendly sort of place and while they don't brew the beer here, that's okay. I started with one of their own beers and then there was no stopping me from ordering the burger topped with mac & cheese. What? Yes. It was messy and delicious. The beer was cold and refreshing after a long all day drive. Pay-at-the-table is pretty awesome. We come to Bricktown once in awhile, and we keep coming back. My husband loves their pizza, and I find something new to order each time I'm in. This visit I got the chicken taco salad which was delicious, and my husband got the combination pizza. Service was a little slow, but the server had a lot of tables. Stopped to eat on a road trip. Arrived about 3pm on a Sunday afternoon and the place was deserted, so we questioned our decision. By 4, the place was busy, our sampler platter demolished (tasty fried green beans!) our meals consumed, Chicken Pot Pie, chicken fried chicken, and 2 burgers. We were stuffed and ready to hit the road. Myself and my son had a beer, the Christmas special and some sort of Cider. I loved mine and my son loved his cider. Highly recommend! read more

Okay, this was a chain that took it to the next level. When we walked in, friendly staff greeted us, and they seated us in the bar area. The server was fast and asked if we had been there before and then got our drink order. There were tv's everywhere playing baseball hi lights. It is a sports bar with a little more stylish setting than most other sports bars. The food was amazing. You cannot mess up a salad, but the hamburger as unbelievable. Cooked perfectly! The line was out the door when we stopped by on a Thursday evening. We were told it was a 30 minute wait for a table, but there was no wait at the bar, and there were two empty seats there, waiting for us. We were really just wanting a chance to snack and decompress after a stressful day, anyway, so the bar was perfect. The bartender was nonstop busy but she still took fantastic care of us and everyone else. My husband tried some local beers while I nursed a fantastic strawberry cider. Took party of 11 here after MU/Ark football game on way home. The service was good, all recommendations were perfect. Stopped here on our cross country road trip for a bite to eat. The food was amazing, we both had chicken, I had the homemade chicken tenders with fries & their homemade ranch- the chicken was fresh & hand battered , (not too crunchy) which I love ! The ranch was awesome. My partner got the buttermilk fried chicken pineapple & honey hand held sandwich with their sweet potato fries with a sweet tea & said everything was perfect. Side note; we are traveling with our 60 lb old English bulldog & they accommodated us by letting us sit with him on their patio. It is small & has a wall around most of it ( no one else was sitting out there but it was a lovely experience to find a dog friendly place to eat , they even brought him a bowl of water The food definitely lived up to the reviews we read before stopping in but this was an amazing added bonus for those traveling with their pets ! read more

Nice casual spot for some lunch. It was the middle of our workday and I was with my boss, so unfortunately didn't get to sample any of the beers, but I did order a burger and it was pretty good. The Burger itself was cooked well, and it came topped with a fried egg, hash browns, American cheese, sweet pepper bacon, and "burger sauce." The egg was fried perfect with the yolk running beautifully when broken. The hash brown was like a patty and a little too greasy for me. The bacon was good, but I do wish there was more burger sauce, I didn't really get much and even though the yolk was on point, the lack of other sauce made for a kind of dry burger. I've eaten here a handful of times since they opened last year. Tried several of their dishes - avocado fries, black bean veggie burger, regular burger, fried shrimp, bread and butter pickle slaw, dipping trio - just to name a few. Every thing I've tried has been good. A typical sports bar-style atmosphere and food selection. Super casual vibe. Will definitely hit the spot when you're in the mood for it. This is a great addition to Joplin and if they can keep the quality up it will stay very popular. Large chains like this open up here and then after a while start getting lazy and cheap. They start substituting inferior ingredients and frozen or pre-made food from Sam's and try and pass it off. Then the customers fall away and so do the better staff. I'm not saying any of that is going to happen with Bricktown, let's hope not because its quality is really good, its staff is friendly, attentive, and well trained. First off, they are an actual brewery. I don't know about the beer because we don't drink. However, they are the only place I know of in Joplin that makes draft root beer, and it's good! They have typical bar food on the menu but it's better than the typical bar food. Also, they have unexpected menu items that hit a lot of different types of foods so it's hard to pin them down as a grill or a burger joint. They make so many different kinds of things Everything we have sampled so far has been very good and it's hard not to keep eating the same thing each time. Try everything, I think you'll find a bunch of favorites to bring you back over and over. Hopefully, they hold to what makes them really good now and continue to improve, not fall back trying to add to profits or whatever other reasons owners get cheap and lazy. If they do they will end up like their predecessor and fade away. Let's hope they stay ahead of the fray, Joplin needs more placed like this. read more
