A very pleasant evening was spent here with beer and pizza and then trivia. I usually avoid trivia but my daughter lives here in Joplin and we were hanging with her and her friends. Chaos is a fun spot. They had eight beers on tap including black IPA, a Farmhouse Ale, Kentucky Common, Coffee Stout, Cream (9.0&!), Imperial Stout (10.2%), Pale Ale, Tropical Ale and after trying two, I settled on the Berliner Weisse that they call "Le Champagne Du Nord" that was tasty. I would have preferred something lighter but this is what's here today. Pizza with it was tasty. Design it on a slip by circling styles and toppings, it takes a few minutes for your beeper. Lots of seating both at the bar, at six-and eight-top tables and some comfy chairs. It's not overly decorated but it's comfortable and a fun hangout. Welcoming space and warm atmosphere! Park in the back and enter through the patio. The menu's just pizza and breadsticks; the pizza was fine but not particularly special. We tried both thin and regular crust. Sauce was tasty but cheese was gummy and mushrooms seemed canned, not fresh. The beers were fine too, but none so good that we needed to bring it home. Swarm, a honey wheat, seemed a bit off--rather sour and more bitter than expected. The Margarita Blonde was also bitter, with only a hint of lime--but a wine-based seltzer was so citrusy and acidic I couldn't drink it. Bar staff was very friendly and engaging. Maybe next time we'll discover a beer we love further down the list! read more

Ambiance was cool. Nice and open. Service was great-we chatted with the bartender for quite a while. From STL, like us, so we had a lot to talk about. No pics but I enjoyed a cocktail and my husband got one of their beers. They serve pizzas but we weren't eating there. Def will go back next time we're in town there. read more

Chaos has some of the best craft beer we've tried around the 4-states area and a super clean & friendly environment. Also, they allow dogs inside!! My personal favorite is their Gekkenhuis farmhouse saison. The building echoes so it can get really loud inside, but if you sit at the bar it's not too bad. There is something for everyone here! If you are not a fan of craft beer they have signature cocktails as well. They also serve pizza now, too! We haven't tried it yet, but definitely will next time. read more

Great brewery. It's located in a unique old brick building, which is great, but it also has a great selection of outstanding brews. We completely enjoyed tasting a number of excellent beers. The bartender was just amazing. He was putting together some fantastic drinks. The place is cool. Great atmosphere. I would completely recommend stopping by and trying out the brew. My wife and I went here on a Saturday about 1535. You enter the brewery in a giant open space with tables. As you walk toward the tables another side opens up with the bar and brewing set up. There were no directions for what to do or anyone to greet us so we sat at a table with full view of the bar. As we sat down one employee looked and smiled at my wife. We sat there for approximately :10 minutes without anyone talking to us or offering a menu. We decided to get up and leave and still no one said a word to us. So..I'll make this very short and to the point. Very loud music, It was way out of line. Hard surfaces everywhere. It made for an uncomfortable visit. Lights are WAYYY too bright. It's like a high school cafeteria in there. It's rediculous. Really... Beers were all REALLY GOOD. We had a flight and all were great. Staff was very friendly and they saved us from walking out. I've been to a lot of Breweries across the midwest, and I have to say Chaos brewing company is one of the best ones I've ever been to. Their beer selection is top tier, the service is amazing, and the atmosphere is both historic and modern. Their flights are definitely worth your money. If you decide to check this place out, try as many beers as you can and figure out which one is your favorite. If you don't like beer, they also have a 10/10 liquor bar, where they will prepare fancy cocktails for you to enjoy. Either way, Chaos is definitely worth the stop and I can't recommend it enough! read more

So happy to see a legit brewery set up shop in downtown Joplin--So many great brews to try! The Abbey Orange is a must try, for those that like Belgian beers without the hoppy bitterness. I also recommend the the My Currant Affair for those that want a little something tart and fruity. Many other beers to try, so don't be shy to talk to the bartender and try a flight of many different brews to see what you like! I'll definitely come back the next time I'm in town, and I can't wait to see what's in store next for Chaos Brewing! read more
