    Asada and Pollo Tacos
    Kent S.

Ghetto Tacos started as a local food truck but now has a brick and mortar location in Webb City. I had heard great things about the food truck so I was excited to check out their new spot. We went early so there were only a couple of patrons dining in when we arrived. The staff was really friendly and smiled and welcomed us when we entered. After reviewing the menu our crew ordered a little bit of everything. The restaurant itself is relatively small for dine in but it's comfortable and friendly. My son enjoyed that he could watch them make the food thanks to the large window between the dining room and the kitchen. We started off with some chips and queso and a side of Mexican street corn (Elote) in a cup. The chips and queso were very good. The chips had been fried up fresh earlier that day and the queso was solid. My wife loved the elote. It's served off the cob in a cup. It is a delicious combination of corn, cream, and Mexican spices. Be sure and top it off with some fresh squeezed lime! Next, we had a variety of tacos - these are served as street style tacos on corn tortillas complete with cilantro, onions and fresh lime wedges. We had a couple with both asada (steak) and pollo (chicken) combined, a few al pastor (pork in sweet and savory onion/pineapple marinade) and chorizo (slightly spicy/garlicky Mexican sausage). I enjoyed all the tacos. If I am being super picky I'd say the al pastor tacos were a little bit soggy, but having two corn tortillas per taco ensured they weren't messy and stayed intact. I don't think you could go wrong with any of the proteins so get as many as you want and try them all! After stuffing ourselves, we still had two other items to try out! The restaurant was serving a crunch wrap that appeared to be new to the menu and possibly unique to the brick and mortar location. It's a 14" flour tortilla wrapped around 2 corn tostadas that's are absolutely STACKED with meat, cheese, beans, pico, guacamole sauces and some queso for good measure! This is not a Taco Bell crunch wrap - it's your wildest crunch wrap fantasy you haven't even had yet! Beware... it's HUGE! You can definitely split it or save some for a late night snack. As good as the crunch wrap was, my favorite item we had was the Mulita. It's similar to a quesadilla but better. I chose Asada but you couldn't go wrong with any of them. It's cooked on the flat top with cheese, grilled onions, cilantro and guacamole sauce. The crispy texture and butter goodness of flour tortilla was a perfect complement to the creamy and delicious cheese, guacamole and meat interior. I recommend trying all the sauces, but if you enjoy spicy the hot sauce is the perfect complement for all the above. The staff was very friendly and seemed to appreciate their customers - something I no longer take for granted! All in all, I'd highly recommend giving this spot a try if you're in the area.

    The ghetto nachos

So now I been to the restaurant and I am very happy. I tryed the rice the wife that runs that place I told he I have problems eating a lot of people rice but this rice is amazing and I will be eating it when I go there. The nachos where great with fresh meat and other toppings. It did not take long now if you are like me I love cheese so ask for extra but I do that where ever I go. I it came with that green stuff as I call it and I forgot to tell them I can't eat that and barely finish and she said no prob and remade it . The husband and wife are very nice people and I will be going back a lot.

$3.50 - tiny, one corn tortilla instead of two, tacos. Ramekin size of rice and beans. $17 ($2 tip)

Nice employees, but that's the only compliment I can give. I'm from Tulsa, moved here August of last year, and have not been able to find authentic street tacos. Decided to try them out and was totally baffled at the prices and the portions. $3.50 a taco?!?!?! Most expensive street taco I've ever seen, including when I go to LA and get them there. Not only are they $3.50 a taco, but it's one corn tortilla instead of two. Which it's always that way anywhere I've ever gone. $1.50 is the most I've ever paid for a street taco and that's the typical price. For 3 tiny tacos and two ramekin sized bean and rice, I paid $17 ($2 tip). The rice was disgusting - no flavor and mushy. Beans seemed like they were the dehydrated kind that you add water to. This meal should not have been priced at more than $6. I can not say I'll be back or can recommend to people, but I wish them luck.

    Quessabirria tacos

Ghetto tacos has the best tacos around! I am from California and this is the closest thing that comes close to tacos from back home. Every single item on the menu is amazing!! But the quessabirria tacos are my absolute favorite. Their staff is the absolute sweetest! If you haven't tried them make sure you do!

I've come to this taco truck 3 times in as many weeks. Probably some of the best tacos I've had period. This is coming from someone who's experienced taco trucks on every corner in Los Angeles. Speaking of which, the owner and his wife are also from LA so they really know tacos. I've tried all their flavors except for vegetarian. Each of which are amazing. Highly recommend the carnitas, al pastor, and chorizo. Would also recommend saying yes to the grilled onion, on top of fresh onions as cilantro for maximum flavor. They don't post where they are on yelp so I also suggest you follow them of FB to know where they are each day. They also do a special where for each 5 tacos you get a stamp. When you collect 10 stamps you get 5 free tacos. Prices are also most cost effective when you order at least 5 tacos otherwise they're more than 2 dollars a taco. Go to ghetto tacos. It's amazing.

We got a ten pack of tacos. Simple street tacos and they were really good. I think the pastor was our favorite and Asada the runner up.
