The French press coffee was perfectly brewed. You can order a personal size or a larger size to share with the table (2-3 people). We ordered the breakfast skillet with smoked ham, cheddar, and onions. The potatoes were perfectly cooked and the scrambled eggs topped it off. We also had the popover with berries. So wonderful and perfectly sweet, but not overwhelmingly so. Don't miss this place and don't be dissuaded that it shares a building with a church. It's a separate entity and one that is not worth missing.

They were right. Boomer was professional, I could trust them with my changing headcount and serving challenges for large groups, awesome family owned and run business, but most important, the food was delicious. The meat was juicy with great seasoning, sides were amazing, and I can't wait to have them cater our next event.

My wife and I decided to eat here last week. It was a nice experience. I had 1201 Benedicts with…read morethe Crab Cakes. It tasted great. I was disappointed that the eggs were overcooked. My wife had the avocado toast. She said it was really good. Service was great and it's a neat atmosphere. It was a little loud because it's so busy. So if you want quiet, this isn't your place. My only complaint other than the over cooked eggs is the price. First, the menu prices are not updated. My meal said it was $19.00. In reality, it was $22.00. So it's pricy. Not really worth it for an every week place to eat in my opinion. I will probably only eat here on special occasions in the future. We spent just under $50.00 without tip. We had water to drink and I had a coffee. There are plenty of other places in Joplin with food priced more reasonably and that is just as good. It's definitely worth trying, just know it's pricy.

We ate Thursday evening at Smokey D's BBQ on Main St. in Chanute. Our waitress was helpful, cordial and attentive; and our food was on the table quickly. My husband and I both had the Thursday special: A burger covered with brisket, topped with cheese, then topped with either coleslaw or baked beans. Potato salad for the side. The brisket was delicious and tender, and the hamburger was very flavorful. Add a slathering of BBQ sauce, and you know this is worth a second trip to SE Kansas. I enjoyed the classic potato salad, but I do like how my husband makes it with a little Worcesterchire Sauce to kick it up a notch. We talked with the owner, Mark Davidson, and his wife. We also sampled the sweet and spicy BBQ sauce. We really need some of that when you get it in a bottle! We must come back to try other menu items. This restaurant is a jewel --- tasty food at a great price.

The chicken was cooked and seasoned so well, and his grandmothers mashed potatoes were to die for. Many people went back for seconds because everything was that good. The grooms cake Mark made was delicious. It was moist and flavorful. He was accommodating as I changed the filling I wanted several times. The cake was my favorite part of the reception. The flowers were stunning and filled the whole reception hall. Mark purchased and did all of the flower arrangements for the evening. He was able to get all of the types of flowers that were in my wedding bouquet for the arrangements in the reception. The evening was magical and we couldn't have asked for a better person to help make our day so special
