This winery is tucked in the back roads of Pittsburg, Kansas. I have to say I've been to Pittsburgh many a times and have not had the privilege of coming here until my last visit. This winery is such a change from the small town that is about 10 minutes away from it. The staff here are warm, friendly and as bubbly as the the wine they provide to their guests. The food is fresh and made to order which is phenomenal. The prices for the wines and the foods are super reasonable. That's where the location and the place itself, the owners really did a great job with detail and making it warm and welcoming to both families, couples, and anyone looking to just relax and have some ambiance. The winery overlooks a small Lake in the back. They also have cornhole and live entertainment on some nights. There's enough space in this location to have parties and still accommodate individual guest. If you're ever in Pittsburg Kansas, you need to stop at this winery and enjoy the libations and and atmosphere it provides. read more

Perfect atmosphere! Yes, the wines are good and they also offer a strong selection of beers if you're not a wine person, plus non-alcoholic drinks. Inside there are a lot of different seating configurations to choose from whether it's a date night or you're bring the entire family. There is a beautiful fireplace in the middle. The environment is relaxed & fun (can get fairly loud though). You order your drinks of choice at the bar and take to your table. There is a not affiliated but in the building catering company that offers pizza, salads & sandwiches. You order from them separately via your phone or at their window. We went with another couple and stayed for a few hours with a game of cards and had a delightful time. The weather wasn't conducive to sitting on the outdoor patio but there are heaters for nice crisp but not freezing nights. The only "awareness" is that this is a family friendly winery so be prepared for crying children or those that are running amuck if parents don't require them to sit down. Not a positive or negative, just be prepared as it's a winery so I did not expect to see so many children there. read more

We stopped on a whim, and although they were closed, they accommodated us! We did a wine tasting and visited with the owner. We bought two bottles of Merlot and all of the wines we sampled, we prefer reds were delicious, highly recommend this lovely place that's growing under its new ownership.!!! read more

We utilized the Keltoi Winery as part of our Harvest Host membership. We were on our way from Michigan traveling to Arizona and this was one of our planned stops. Even though they are not open for business on a Monday, they were very accommodating making themselves available to open The Cottage winery allowing us to sample a very nice selection of wine. Brandon was very outgoing and extremely knowledgeable of their products and process used in production. They do put on special events. The setting is gorgeous. We thoroughly enjoyed the weather, the grounds which include a pond, and the beautiful sunset. They are expanding to accommodate more patronage and we wish them the luck of the Irish in their future endeavors. We highly recommend the Keltoi Winery when traveling through Oronogo, Missouri. read more

A quick stop prompted by the highway sign. We enjoyed a flight of delicious wine sitting in front of a roaring fire on a cold, damp day. The employees were engaging and helpful. If you are in SW Missouri, Keltoi Wineries is a must stop! For $5 you get to sample the 12 wines they make and get a great souvenir wine glass with their Celtic emblem. The emblem is a melding of the Celtic knot and Celtic cross - which if pretty cool. They use a mixture of grapes grown on-site at their vineyard and apples and grapes imported from California. They have a wide range of grape varieties they I had never heard of, but the owners Erv and LeeAnn, who both helped to lead the tasting were very informative and nice. They added personal details about the naming of the wines. For instance, the Nine Ladies is in honor of a friend who had many marital woes. We sat out on their patio for the tasting, which was nice and relaxing. None of their wines were over $15/bottle. They had a nice range of sweet and dry wines, though I think the sweet wines were more a favorite among their group. Their Norton was unique and several of their dry wines had tart and tannic notes. Go for good wine, the nice company of the owners and a unique winery experience. read more

The wines were OK, but the staff was incredibly inappropriate. Our sever, Andrew Pennington, spent the entire time flirting with my young daughter. My daughter brought up multiple times she had a boyfriend. She's doesn't have a boyfriend, she just wanted Andrew to leave her alone. I've probably been to more than 40 wineries over the past 5 years and this is one of 2 that I've been to 5 or more times. The owners are super nice and the wines are very reasonably priced. It's a great place to chill for an hour tasting the wines and speaking to the laid back owners, or just walk around the lovely SW Missouri property. If you're looking to host a party or event, this is also a great option. I help my birthday here and they let us use the grill and tasting room for a steal of a price. We did a few tastings and bought a few bottles. Overall, great Missouri winery. read more

This place is a great, out of the way winery with wonderful owners and very pleasing wines. They grow many of their won grapes on the property and, while enjoying your tasting, you can enjoy the patio or the rustic interior of their winery. The $5 tasting is amazing--we were provided with 12 tastings and a keepsake glass--and the knowledge of the owners as they explained the naming and taste of each wine was truly enjoyable. All of the affordable wines were enjoyable and available for purchase onsite. This place is great--be sure to ask if you can try the "chocolate test" with some of the sweeter wines...we enjoyed it very much. Definitely a must-stop in southern Missouri. read more

Our whole visit was yucky. The server was a 30 year old guy who made me and my friend super uncomfortable. His name was Andrew. He made comments about our clothes being "cute" which felt soooooo creepy. And he kept getting soo close to us and "bumping" into us and fake laughing. Definitely a creepo. Disclaimer: I have every intention of visiting again and editing my response with what will hopefully be a MUCH higher rating. However, I felt that I must provide feedback on my visit to Keltoi. My boyfriend and I called ahead to make sure the winery was open and offering tastings, since mid-January probably isn't their busiest time of year. A friendly woman on the phone sounded incredibly welcoming so we excitedly headed straight out to Keltoi, about 17 miles from our home in south Joplin. When we arrived, there was a pretty full parking area but we headed on in. It was packed in their smallish, rustic tasting room. Twenty-or thirty people were milling around and a few were seated. Two young children were running amok. Three or four adults were seated at a bar in front and the only Keltoi employee we spotted was doing the wine tasting. Engaged in animated conversation with the guests (as well he should be), he did not have time to acknowledge us. We waited awhile and just wound up leaving. If there had been some sort of organization, signage, or a Keltoi representative to welcome and assist us, we would have stayed for a tasting even if we had to wait quite some time. But as it was, we couldn't tell if it would be 15 minutes or 3 hours (closing time) or what...and such a shame, because the chalkboard behind the bar listed many tasty-sounding wines. read more
