This winery is such a change from the small town that is about 10 minutes away from it. The staff here are warm, friendly and as bubbly as the the wine they provide to their guests. The food is fresh and made to order which is phenomenal. The prices for the wines and the foods are super reasonable. That's where the location and the place itself, the owners really did a great job with detail and making it warm and welcoming to both families, couples, and anyone looking to just relax and have some ambiance. The winery overlooks a small Lake in the back. They also have cornhole and live entertainment on some nights. There's enough space in this location to have parties and still accommodate individual guest. I called in advance to gather some basic information and the woman I spoke to was kind and informative. When we arrived, i was blown away by how cute and big the establishment was! Very spacious and well-decorated (farm house style). They have little nooks and alcoves and different rooms for you to choose for where you would like to sip and eat. We chose the bootleggers lounge and it had a warm vibe to it with soft lighting, an electric fireplace and high top tables. We opted for the whiskey tastings so we could share and after the long 4-hour drive we had, we indulged in their cheese, crackers, sweets, meats and nuts. We left happy and full.

We started off with wine tastings where our host took great care of us and our tastings. I think we ended up buying 2 cases of wine. Afterward, we had some appetizers - The Meatball Trio - a sampling of tasty Italian recipe meatballs covered in three different sauces - Garlic Parm, Traditional Marinara and BBQ. Lastly, we had the St. James Antipasto Platter. It contained fresh mozzarella, pepperoni, salami, assorted cheeses, cucumber, tomatoes, artichokes, roasted peppers, onion and black olives drizzled in their signature balsamic reduction and olive oil.
