This winery is such a change from the small town that is about 10 minutes away from it. The staff here are warm, friendly and as bubbly as the the wine they provide to their guests. The food is fresh and made to order which is phenomenal. The prices for the wines and the foods are super reasonable. That's where the location and the place itself, the owners really did a great job with detail and making it warm and welcoming to both families, couples, and anyone looking to just relax and have some ambiance. The winery overlooks a small Lake in the back. They also have cornhole and live entertainment on some nights. There's enough space in this location to have parties and still accommodate individual guest. St. James Winery needs to make sure they keep ahold of this employee....because, she is a HUGE asset to their business. St. James wines are varied and delicious!!! Super disappointed! On a Slow Tuesday afternoon, My Tia's…read morewanted to do a wine tasting. Party of 6- 3 were tasting and 3 of us waiting for drinks or appetizers. It took 25 minutes to get some water. After getting passed by the people who kept coming in. Our desire to have a drink or food was gone and we were ready to leave. We got placed on hold again just to check out but the other guests walked in and got serviced right away. It's sad we stood at the register for very long time and she never came to tend to us. We had to leave the money at the register and walk out, my family was NOT a priority! It is very sad that we were treated the way we were. Max- was great. Very knowledgeable of all his wines and very interactive. Max took his time getting to know us and what we like and what we didn't like. We appreciate his help and insight for the wine tasting but the service from the waitress was awful and disrespectful!
