I've had Mother's for years, usually in bottles or cans. In Springfield bd our hotel only1 mile away, so guess what our first stop was. First off, absolutely love this tasting room / outdoor concept. Huge lawn area, cornhole, chairs, tables, play area for the kids. Also a nice large covered outdoor area with picnic tables. Can really see hanging out here. We just stopped off for one beer each. My wife had the Atomic Mom: Hazy IPA and I had the Atomic Mom: Imperial IPA. The hazy was not bad but honestly not super hazy. A little on the sweeter side, but not a bad beer. My Imperial was the bomb (hence the atomic I assume). Definitely higher on the ABV but didn't get that in the taste. Fun staff, friendly vibes, and we'd definitely return! read more

Service was outstanding. Prompt service at the bar and they all seemed to really enjoy their jobs. I had four different beers in my flight ($14): An orange cream ale, the Sourade (A lemon-lime sour), the Trop Top (A passion fruit pale ale), and the Madre (A lime-infused Mexican lager). My favorite was the SourAde. Lemon-lime is a common flavor in other areas, but I've never seen it replicated in beer. That changed here. The first drink many might find overly sour, but once the citrus hits your tongue, I think you'll agree that it's a refreshing beer. The TropTop is not overly hoppy for those of you who avoid IPAs and ales in general. The only thing I found disappointing was only 1/4 of my selections was available to take with me as a 4-pack. I'd definitely recommend getting off I-44 and showing these folks some love. read more

The bartender and server were very nice and took the time to answer my questions about their business, about their products, and about the number of activities that go on there through the weeks and months and throughout the year. I have to say...I have been to Mother's multiple times over the past few years, and this time brought a 6 person group of friends to enjoy one of my favorite breweries. I live in Kansas City. I also special ordered 2 kegs of Winter Grind this winter for our Kegerator in KC. Today was not a good impression at all. The long grey haired bartender was a d*ck to our group telling us with an attitude that we should normally ask to move two small tables together. Honestly, no one was inside really, it was 4 pm, and what were we hurting combining two tables? My completely sober friend accidentally knocked her beer while sitting alone and he wasn't happy about it. Accidents happen. We spent a lot of money on merch and drinks, I'm sorry if you're having a bad day but keep your attitude to yourself. Might not be back. Not impressed after years of loyalty to your brewery and brand. read more

We love coming to Mother's brewery whenever we are driving through Springfield, Missouri. The outdoor area is amazing! There is a nice playground for the children, a large connect 4 game, corn hole boards placed all outside, and a stage for live shows. They have a huge outdoor area. We come for the atmosphere and stay for the beer! I'm not a beer drinker so I love that they have hard seltzers and hard cider on the menu. They have tons of events on the calendar as well. My husband ordered a limited release Hazy 4 You IPA and said that it was fantastic. Our kids played a long time, which allowed us to talk and have a drink. Inside they have a lot of cool merch, and last time I got a cool shirt. We will be back next time for sure and hopefully we can catch some live music or an event! read more

Established in 2011, Mother's Brewing Company has been a well-known landmark in Springfield, MO. It's located in the brewing district so it's not hard to find at all. Their Taproom opens at 2pm from Tuesday to Sunday. (Closed Monday). You can go inside the Taproom to enjoy a few pours, check out their cool mechs or sit outside in the garden (not much of a view though.) They have a nice collection of beers, I have a few favorites and some I don't care for. #1 is their LIL' HELPER, it's a American IPA, amber color, with 7% ABV. It's so balanced and remarkably drinkable on tap or in the bottle. I couldn't tell the difference. I also like their Stone Cold Helper, it's not as strong, just 5.5 ABV and it's a cold fermented IPA with hop character and quite crisp. I find it tastes better if the beer is super cold. By the way, they didn't have that on TAP, cans only. My wife likes their HAZY HELPER (5.5 ABV). It's light in color and a New England Style IPA. She likes it because it's a little different than a typical New England IPA. We also tried a few other beers while we were there such as carmen miranda, materfamilias and a few others but didn't like their palate. Either too sweet, not defined enough or not as well-balanced. Perhaps they shouldn't make the LIL' HELPER so darn good! read more

My husband and I love to try new microbreweries. We have been from one end of the country to the other, and have visited hundreds of microbreweries. Mother's is one of the best! If you are concerned with Covid, you will feel safe here! All of the staff are wearing masks, they require customer's to mask and they have several stations of hand sanitizer. Additionally, they have spread out tables and moved some into the warehouse so they can accommodate more people safely. There are two things that make Mother's stand out: the taproom/venue and the creativity of their brewmasters. The taproom is fun, interesting with lots to look at. They have a great merchandise area. There are a few tables in the taproom, but a lot more in the warehouse. In warmer months, Mother's also has a fantastic outdoor area! The brewmaster(s) here are brilliant, and you can expect to find some of the most unusual concoctions on tap here. Don't worry, they will have their flagships, but Mother's is always experimenting! I tried the Chugsuckle Brunch while I was there this time! It was crazy, weird and delicious! I always tend to find crazy, weird and delicious beers on draft there, and I love trying them! A nice brewery with tons of seating available inside and out. They have a huge shaded yard area with games. It's in a great location in downtown Springfield with lots of things to do near by. Tried a flight of 4 with Wild Cobra, Mr. Pumpkin, Imperial Grind #1, and Stone Cold Helper. Was disappointed in Mr. Pumpkin. It was not as flavorful as expected. My favorite was the Imperial Grind #1. Loads of delicious boozy coffee flavor! The taproom has a nice vibe with friendly staff, pretty lighting, and houseplants all around! Mother's Brewing is a cute cozy brewery in Springfield. It's chill and casual with super nice bartenders that even gave us a whole list of things to do while we were in Missouri. Without her we would have missed some pretty awesome places. The beer was really good- my boyfriend had the Sunshine chugsuckle (New England IPA) & I tried the Raspberry Tarte. I really liked mine it was smooth and tasty too I loved the raspberry flavor. They have lots of options including stouts here. My boyfriend got a 4 pack to go of the Sunshine chugsuckle to bring back with us, but it was so good we ended up drinking them the next day! (Fail lol) I would highly recommend this brewery. Sought this place out as soon as I found out Brandon has zero breweries!!! That in itself is BS!! Once I read their website, I knew we were making the trek. Words cannot describe this place!! The beers were great!!!! The latte with peppermint and the salted caramel was truly the best I've ever had!! Pissed we cannot buy this local to take back to TX with us and brag. It even smells like a great candle!! ALL the others we tried (8 of them) were also great!! Dog and kids came with us. All was good and calm....oddly. They have a bunch of merchandise to purchase. They need to open this place in Branson!! Hell.....they need to open this in north Texas!!! I want sooo bad to go back but not sure how we can make that one happen. My next adventure brought me to Mother's Brewing Company in Springfield, MO. One of the bigger breweries in the area with a large selection to choose from. I'm an IPA lover and today I went away from my norm and tried a beer with jalapeño and pineapple. Surprisingly good but after a while the jalapeño was too much for me. From the ones I tried, my favorite was the Trop Top. It was tropical, fruity, and full of flavor. These guys have a lot of events throughout the year so keep an eye out for those. First off, if this is your favorite craft brewery, I don't mean to offend you. It seems like a fine place to hang out. This place gets 5 stars for service and atmosphere and 3 the beer. The tasting room is open, airy, welcoming and best of all- the noise level is tolerable due to the brick and cinderblock construction of this former Butternut Bread bakery. There is no food here, so eat before you arrive or plan to take a short jaunt down to Springfield Brewing Co to get some grub (and better beer afterwards). Mother's has great label art and catchy names that attract the beer lover but ultimately produces competent but unexciting beer. The best beer I had on my recent visit was a collaboration with an outside brewery. A food truck or kitchen would earn this place another star. read more

Fantastic Brewery. My favorite Brewery in all of the USA, and I've been to a fair number breweries. The drinks are all top notch and there many beer varieties available for all types of bear drinkers. They even offer a gluten free cider! If you like sour beers this is the place for you, they have plenty on the menu- you'll need two flights to taste all the sours/sessions. This place has a huge outdoor area for COVID social distancing. I was kind of disappointed that thats where they have everyone stay, you need a mask to go inside. I came here with some coworkers on a Friday around 3 PM. It wasn't very crowded and the staff was pretty nice. I ordered 2 beers; one was the sunshine chugsuckle and the other was 3 blind mice I believe. I loved the 3 blind mice; it tasted pretty good for a dark beer. The suckle one was very thick and looked more like lemonade. I wasn't really able to enjoy it because of its density. Other things would be 5/5 for the hip atmosphere. What is up with businesses in this city closing at 8? I leave the hotel and drive about 5 miles to Mother's Brewery. I find it on Grant Ave but taproom is in back of building . I order a Tow Head American Beer and it's very good. I check out the gift shop because I am a mother myself. I purchased a cool baseball hat and half pint glass. At Fall Creek, I tried 3 Blind Mice beer of theirs. I'm not much of a dark beer drinker, but this was great. Upon leaving Missouri, I bought a 6 pack of Tow Head at a gas station/convenience store. However, a lot has changed since I moved away several years ago. One of those key changes is Mother's Brewing Company. Once a Butternut Bread factory, Mother's took over the building in 2010 and began brewing a year later. Since then, Mother's has become a craft beer staple in Southwest Missouri, spreading its beer all over the region. Unfortunately, they have yet to crack the market in Saint Louis. I'm looking at you, In-Bev! Needless to say, whenever I make a visit to Springfield, Mother's is always a part of my plans, whether it's visiting the brew house or drinking it in local pubs. All three major year rounders are very good: Towhead Blonde Ale, Three Blind Mice Brown Ale, and Lil' Helper IPA. However, their most sought after beers are seasonal Winter Grind Coffee Stout and MILF Barrel-Aged stout, which are both available in the winter. I had the joy of touring the brewery on Saturday, and our tour guide Kyle was great. The setup is pretty basic, but it's always great to hear the story behind a brewery, especially one in a city I once called home.
