Been meaning to review them for a while. This is a newest brewing company on Commercial. They keep a wide variety of brews on tap, my personal favorites are Table Rock, and Pilsner. The bar area is definitely centered around the outdoor seating. While there is indoor seats available; outside is definitely the place to be on a nice day. They are also welcoming of families, and as long as you have a well behaved child they are completely welcome to hang. They also provide live entertainment from 5 to 8!! Which is great for parents, or people who don't want to stay out past 9. And the entertainment is free!!! They recently let Skully's food truck park behind them so now there's grub! The hours can be a bit screwy but other than that no complaints. When we go out on a bike ride, and want to grab a cold one on the way home, or straight from work to get food an a brew this the spot we hit! read more

This place's beer deserves one star. Horrible with not much character. The taproom is neat tho and the peeps working seemed pretty chill. The beer tho is def not worth the price, especially for a flite. The red ale was pathetic, the saison fairly pedestrian. If you were on that street and absolutely just ahd to have a beer of some kind then go for it, otherwise take a pass. read more

When we moved to Springfield I was excited to find out that there was not 1, but 3 craft breweries in town. It's taken us a while to check them all out but now that we have I can definitely state without question that White River is my favorite, hands down. I know, I know, I previously declared Mother's my fave, but I just hadn't been to White River yet! I'm kinda studying for the cicerone exam (I bought the books and drink a lot of beer, let me call it studying, OK?) and 99% of the time if I look up the tasting notes for whatever style I'm drinking, it tastes precisely as it "should". I love that they so beautifully execute beer that tastes like, for lack of better phrasing, good beer. I get it, sometimes you want lemon ginger whatever or spicy mole ale and when you do want those things you won't find them here. What you will find is a beautifully clean pale ale that isn't too bitter for the member of your group that doesn't usually like craft beer, the table rock red or goat trail dopplebock for the person who just wants a solid, delicious beer or something seasonal like a classic that was Belgian yeasted for variety or something barrel aged (barrel aged jam up blackberry, I'll miss you until next season!). The tasting room is a cute little space with a mix of high and low tables and a big bar. We tend to run away screaming from crowds and we've yet to feel like it's cramped in there, but I imagine that'll change at some point once people figure out it's worth the trip to C-street. You can order food in from local restaurants, which is good because you might find yourself getting hungry while tasting all the delicious choices on tap. I've seen heard that they have live music sometimes. They obviously have everything you need to make you happy so you should just go drink some beer already! read more

The third and final stop on our brewery tour was White River Brewing Co. We walked in and the tap room was fairly small. I couldn't decide on just one beer, so we did a flight of 5 beers. My favorite was the Old Mill Ale. Most of the beers lacked something though. None of them really had a distinct flavor that would set them apart from other breweries. If this brewery was in Colorado, it wouldn't last long with the beers that they currently offer. read more

Staff was standoffish and slightly rude. Might have been a rough day but that's no excuse. Beer deserves one star. Outside seating was plentiful but lacks over head umbrellas or a canopy for a really sunny or rainy day. Inside seating was very limited. This is a great local brewery! We love coming here when we are down on C-Street. They don't have any food but you are walking distance from a lot of great food options. I recommend trying a flight if you have never been before. They have some great beers for every taste. Also, in the summer their patio is amazing! read more
