Sour beer

Whenever we're passing through Springfield, a stop at Springfield Brewing Co. is an absolute must! We used to come here all the time when we lived in the area and even now it's a place we make sure to visit. You simply cannot leave without trying their Buffalo Chicken Mac & Cheese. It is without a doubt, the best I've ever had. And here's the secret: you have to get the blue cheese crumbles, either on top or on the side. If you're a little hesitant about blue cheese, don't be, they are delicious and elevate the dish to a whole new level. Trust me on this one! The service here is always consistently great. The staff is friendly and attentive, whether you're sitting on the main floor or upstairs. You get the same excellent service no matter where you are. Beyond the incredible food and service, they also have a fantastic drink selection. I always love seeing what new sour beers they have on tap. It's a great spot with a welcoming atmosphere, excellent food, and amazing brews. It's definitely a place that lives up to its reputation!

Springfield Brew Co. has always been a favorite go-to place for us. Always great food and drinks and there's something for everyone on the menu. The atmosphere is nice, they have indoor and outdoor seating. However, they have recently changed service style to "tap room style". So, you seat yourself wherever and order food and drinks at the bar. It's a really neat idea and I thought I would like it. But it seems there might be some kinks to work out. It wasn't clear that the concept has changed, so several people kept waiting at the front to be seated. There weren't really employees around to help direct people or explain how it works now. The employees seemed a little overwhelmed, but it was a pretty busy night. The menu is significantly more condensed, but still good choices. The food was good and drinks were great, as always. I know this is still relatively new change for them, so I'm sure it will get better with time. I don't think it's going to be a go-to dinner spot for us anymore. Definitely still at great place to hangout and have some drinks!

Fun spot to sit at the bar and watch the world go by while sampling some local beers and snacks. Cool space and ambience and friendly crowd.

It was our first time here. We sat at the bar. Drake was fantastic! We were able to taste their 2 new spirits, Oracle and Grannie Hammer. We sampled 3 Gins from the Songbird Collection...so good! Food was fantastic! Definitely recommend!

Burnt ends & Mac & Cheese

10/10 order the burnt ends Mac and cheese The burnt ends fall apart in your mouth. They are full of juicy flavor!!! The Mac and cheese was filling and delicious. The service was prompt and on top of refilling drinks! Which really says something considering it was a bit busy and we had a larger table. We also split the artichoke dip appetizer and I was pleased to see it come with chips && celery & carrots. It was creamy goodness.

We made our way over to Springfield Brewing Company last night for dinner and had a phenomenal experience. The space is wide open, inviting, and filled with plenty of seating. We were greeted kindly by the host and had a wonderful experience with our waitress. Kind, helpful, and welcoming. My husband and I each started with a flight. He got a flight of six beers and I got a flight of 3 G&T's. My favorite G&T was the one with earl grey syrup. My husband loved all three of the IPA's that he tried. I also got a rye Sazerac and it was very high quality. Boozy and full of flavor. The brewery also has a distillery attached, so we had to try the liquor! For the meal I got the French dip sandwich and it was phenomenal. I cherished each bite! The fries were also delicious: perfectly seasoned! My husband got the Buffalo chicken sandwich and he loved the fresh chicken. He thought the spice level was perfect: not too spicy, but not bland! He also got the sweet potato fries and said they were perfectly crispy and full of flavor. We loved our experience at Springfield Brewing Company (and attached distillery) and will definitely return if we are back in the area!

Over all amazing!! This is a more than a basic brewery. Honestly it reminds me of one I'd find in San Diego! ( that's a good thing ) they have a very wide variety of beers and drinks! You can see the distillery ( classic ) they have TONS of seating. We didn't have to wait to get a table even though my friend and I opted for the bar! The bartenders kind of tag teamed us ( which was fine! ) they were both super nice. The drinks amazing the food even better! I'm happy we randomly stumbled in you should do the same you will not be disappointed!

Mac & Cheese w/pulled pork

This was our first stop after landing at the airport. I was a fan of the Golden Lager and the Mac & Cheese with pulled pork with a side of BBQ sauce hit the spot! Workers were friendly and there is an obvious local mug club crew that frequents the place.

Awful holiday "decor"

I am appalled. BrewCo has been my "go to" place to treat out of town clients for lunch and dinner. Good food, service, atmosphere and unique n Springfield history. Well, I retired at end of 2024 and so had not been in recent times (tried for lunch in late summer and it was inexplicably and unexpectedly closed; now I know why). They have TOTALLY ELIMINATED WAIT STAFF! You order via QR code from a table for food but must stand at a register at the bar to order drinks. You self serve water and soft drinks. For some unknown reason it has turned into a "jolly elf" pop up with most outlandish and awful display of Christmas crap imaginable. The menu is supposed to be cute with holiday themed titles. They've cut back on old favorites (no chili ) and pizza can only be ordered at night. The menu choices are extremely limited. We were there and time was limited so we stayed to do lunch. My companion ordered fish & chips and claimed it to be decent. I got Mac & Cheese which had always been a favorite in the past. It was barely passable. It was watery and barely any cheese taste. I was terribly embarrassed that I'd made the choice to take my companion there. A very sad goodbye to what had been a fabulous place and local institution.

Brewhouse burger and fries

Service is extremely slow today. We arrive around 2:15 on a Sunday afternoon. We finally got our food at 3:15. Two adult burgers a kids meal, a fish sandwich and a side salad does not take 40 minutes to prepare and serve. Seems the meal sat under the warmer for a bit. We were just about to leave when the server brought the food out. One burger needed a fresh bun. The fish sandwich breading was soggy. Not willing to make another trip here

I'm so glad I took their advice, the buns were soft and buttery, the meat patties were flavorful and moist. We also ordered you are smokin' fries. Apple and hickory smokes fries, loaded w/ sautéed jalapeños, cheese sauce, and we opted the pulled pork with Chipotle bbq. The fries were a hit at our table! Waygu burgers, sign me up! I end up ordering the foodie - double 4oz patties, Boursin style cheese, caramelized onion, candied bacon, w/ truffle mayo. Best damn burger I had in a long time. They offer varieties of sauces to try with your burger & fries, they bring a small tray with each sauce. Ranch, ketchup, smoky garlic mayo, chipotle BBQ, chipotle ketchup, truffle mayo, and sriracha mayo just to name a few. I'm a sucker for espresso so I ordered an espresso yourself shake. Espresso, salted caramel, funnel cake, coffee liqueur, frozen vanilla custard. The espresso and salted caramel balance each other out nicely. This shake lives rent free in my head. If I am ever in the city again, this would be on my top list to visit. Definitely would recommend you trying Black Sheep.

I will not drag the competition, but Dublin's Pass was the clear winner. I won't use specifics, but you get so much more bang for your buck, purely from a financial aspect. Let me first say, the eggs arrive on a plate with a light breading that adds the perfect balance of crunch yet balanced with the soft egg. All brought to you with a mustard that is the perfect combination of pickled veg and punchy mustard. The meat was cooked perfectly. The combination between the meat, egg and mustard marry one another beautifully to lend to a flavor roller coaster in your mouth. What really sets these Scotch eggs apart is the attention to detail. They taste like they are meant for a flavor rollercoaster. Each element feels intentional. Whether you're a longtime Scotch egg lover or trying one for the first time, this restaurant sets the bar high. Simply put: these are the Scotch eggs other places should be aspiring. Eggs aside, we also had an order of the boneless wings. Not a hard thing to get right, but we had roasted garlic parmesan with garlic aioli, to die for. I am from out of town, and this place is absolutely a must. It will never not be on to do list.

Unfortunately, I left disappointed because the food quality just wasn't what I remembered. I had been telling my wife how great the food used to be--almost like gourmet bar food--and was really looking forward to sharing that experience with her. The smash burger no longer tasted like the duck-fat burger I remembered, and the fries definitely didn't seem to be house-made anymore. They tasted more like a lower-quality frozen product, which was a letdown. On the positive side, the service was excellent. Even with the restaurant getting busy and a live band setting up, the staff stayed friendly, attentive, and on top of everything. One thing to note is that we initially arrived around 12:45 p.m. on Sunday, only to find out they weren't open and was told that something came up and they didnt open until 3:00 p.m. on this Sunday. Overall, I still enjoyed the atmosphere and appreciate the great service, but I hope the kitchen can get back to the food quality that made Lindberg's one of my favorite spots in the past.
