    Salmon tacos
    Racheal L.

The food, drinks and overall service was amazing! We were driving through and just looked up what was near us. We weren't expecting such an amazing meal. I ordered salmon tacos and the mango salsa and chipotle sauce was a great blend. My husband ordered the chicken and spinach enchiladas and both dishes were incredible! The salsa has good flavor too. Was also very happy with my top shelf Margarita. It has a tasty orange flavor to it but wasn't too sweet. If we ever get the chance we will definitely stop again. Top notch service as well!!

Server was neat. Besides that it was subpar. We got a burrito and chicken cheese and rice. Both were very greasy and unappetizing. I felt unsafe

La Sauces food is always good Service fast and friendly. We always try to stop in when we're passing Nevada headed to Arkansas.

Los Sauces is my favorite Mexican restaurant of all time! It is the Mexican restaurant I compare all others against, and very few come close to the Los Sauces! In the little town of Nevada, MO not many are taking Covid as serious as they should. That makes it even more impressive that the management of Los Sauces has instituted Covid precautions. The staff all wear masks, and Los Sauces has anti-bacterial stations posted in multiple places. Los Sauces is so consistent. Their food is always fresh, flavorful and presented well. Their food is priced very affordable and the servings are generous. My very favorite thing about Los Sauces is that they have chef inspired kitchen, which is rare in Mexican restaurants. Most Mexican restaurants have a set menu that rarely changes. Los Sauces' kitchen is always creating and coming up with new specials! They also update their regular menu a couple times a year. Finally, you won't find better service anywhere. The manager, Brayan, worked his way up to become the manager of Los Sauces. He knows all the positions, because he actually worked them, so his people are well trained.

Took a recommendation from the hotel staff where I'm staying for business. "The chips are warm and crispy" they said. "The food is fresh and flavorful" they said. "Wow! They were right" I said. I decided on the Pork Chili Verde for lunch. It came with traditional rice and beans. They were ordinary at best, but the star of the dish was the pork. The sauce was very savory and the pork was fork tender. Very tasty dish and comforting along with warmed corn tortillas. Side note** Special of the day was 5 tacos (hard or soft) with rice & beans for $5.00.) Margaritas for $1.99

Nice to a see a menu that walks the line between Mexican and Spanish while still maintaining the Midwestern Tex-Mex expectations. Complimentary fresh warm & thin corn chips with a flavorful but not too spicy salsa. I loved that each person gets their own salsa cup so we could add extra hot sauce if needed. Sodas are served in huge 32oz (?) cups and refilled regularly. We happened to be there on Tuesday and it was $1.99 margaritas (frozen or on the rocks). The frozen versions are from the rita-mixing machine and pack a little alcoholic punch. Ordered the Queso Fundido and table-side Guacamole. The table-side guac with everything inside is far better than the guacamole sauce that arrived on the fajita plate. That freshness makes all the difference. If you like a thick and string-pulling Queso- the Fundido is for you. The fajitas arrived to the table first and were steaming on the hot iron plate. Great seasoning on the meats and good meat quality with plenty of side fixings. I had the chicken mole enchiladas and found that the mole sauce is a sweet and smokey version with perhaps a touch of anis or chocolate to create a truly distinctive flavor. The seafood tacos were very filling, and came highly recommended- even though I didn't get to try them. Overall- a great Mexican option for the middle of rural Missouri.

Very nice place for dinner or lunch. Good size, very taste and nice service. My recommendation is: Tacos de Pescado la Paz Crisp fish fillet strips topped with fresh cabbage, cream, chipotle sauce and pico de gallo. Served on flour tortillas. Los Sauces Chimichanga A flour tortilla stuffed with your choice of beef or shredded chicken, deep-fried to a golden brown, topped with cheese sauce, lettuce, sour cream and pico de gallo. Served with rice and beans. Please follow me on Instagram @tryatreat

This place is great! You will not be disappointed. We started w/ Fundito cheese appetizer... delish! Hubby got the California Burrito - it was HUGE! He normally cleans his plate, but took half of this bad boy home! I had the 2 taco combo plate, and it was so good... I like it simple. We shared a medium frozen margarita, and oh my my... lots of ETOH in that baby - I'm crunk! LOL

Cali burrito (al pastor) with guacamole salad. GET THIS!!

Stumbled into this place while driving across the country; what a fortunate turn of events. This place is legit! I can't say enough about the California burrito which was overflowing with fork tender and juicy al pastor. Beans and rice were also stuffed into this delicious creation which was drizzled with a light cheese sauce. Get this! I usually find Mexican rice to be empty calories but the rice here was light, fluffy, and somehow gone from my wife's plate before I knew it (sorry babe). Retried beans were savory and pleasingly thick, a good litmus test for any Mexican restaurant. The other entrees had by our group were tasty but nothing held a candle to the Cali burrito. Enchiladas were solid but the ground beef was nothing special. Free and refilled chips and salsa were appreciated. I would go out of my way to come back here which is why I gave it 5 stars.

I've eaten at a lot of Mexican restaurants around KC. This place in Nevada, MO blows them all away. Unassuming place, but legit! Wish I lived closer. I'd be here every week.

The Michelle is delicious! This small town restaurant can compete with other great restaurants in larger cities.

I'll start by saying I was in Warrensburg from out of state for my daughter's graduation. So, I…read moregoogled a restaurant that is close, in a safe park of town that easy to access with plenty of parking and arrived at Cancun Mexican Cuisine. Outside the place needs a little TLC but no big deal I thought. Walking in I really enjoyed the amount of décor giving it that Mexican vibe I love. Looking around the stucko, hanging hats, flags, obnoxiously colored chairs and tables are what comes to mind when I go out to eat at a Mexican restaurant. However, on a 90 degree day, the restaurant was like 92 which was sort of a precursor to the experience I was about to embark on. First off the salsa was pretty bad. It had no heat which I actually prefer but it had no flavor. I literally thought it tasted like a mild marinara as if no cilantro was added rather it was poured from a can. The chips were ok but after tasting the "salsa" I was disappointed as that's usually the highlight. At least my sweet tea was pretty good. Oh the server needed something else to do as he was at the table every five minutes. As for dinner my daughter got the fajita nachos and seemed fairly unimpressed. It was mostly because the cheese was fairly bland but she did like the veggies as they looked and tasted charred. My other got the steak fajitas. While most of it was decent, the steak was TOUGH and had zero flavor. I literally had two bites and had to spit both out because I couldn't get through one bite. She did mention "wow usually it tastes a lot better." Her boyfriend seemed to echo the same point, WTH was up with the food. As for my meal, I tried the Enchiladas Bandera's. I thought it was ok. I liked having three options on one plate but I noticed all the sauces weren't very flavorful. I know being a former chef can taint my view, but most want to taste that "authentic Mexican" in every bite. I will say that the chicken and beef were cooked right and juicy and I liked the corn tortillas. I believe if the sauces had more "life" this would have been gone from an ok dish to an absolute winner. I'll say I was very pleased to have lettuce with sour cream and guac to round out a personalized tasting of each enchilada. Overall, I didn't come away with a great experience at Cancun. While the mood was perfect, the heat, and canned sauce flavors with over cooked beef threw off the whole experience. I'll admit I generally like to visit a place more than once just to be sure it wasn't a one-off experience; I don't have that luxury. My final words are if you want Mexican, consider somewhere else.
