1/5 **Birria Tacos? More Like Birria Betrayal - Dry as the Damn Desert** I ordered these birria tacos expecting the juicy, broth-soaked glory that makes the dish legendary. What showed up was a straight-up crime scene on a red plate. Look at them. The "birria" meat is stringy, fibrous, and painfully dry -- like it was slow-roasted in a desert instead of braised in rich consommé. Zero glistening fat, zero juicy pull-apart tenderness, just sad, parched shreds that tasted like overcooked pot roast left out overnight. The corn tortillas were even worse: stiff, cracking, and bone-dry with not a single drop of red oil or sauce to save them. One bite and they basically crumbled like stale chips. And let's talk about that little plastic cup of "sauce" they threw on the side. That is NOT consommé. It's generic, watery taco sauce -- the kind you'd get in a fast-food packet. No rich, fatty dipping broth. No soul-soaking magic. Just mediocre salsa that did absolutely nothing to rescue this disaster. The onions and cilantro? Absolute regret, but they were basically just garnish on a dead corpse. This wasn't authentic Mexican food. It was a lazy, flavorless mockery wearing a birria costume. Save your money, your time, and your taste buds. These tacos deserve zero stars, but Yelp won't let me go that low. Run. Do not walk. Avoid at all costs. read more

When the family wants a Mexican dinner this is our place. Even if the kids do not want Mexican they have items for them. We found this place when we started to go to Pittsburg and we are happy that we still can go to it. read more
