We did mention it was our anniversary and the cashier was like ok. Would have been nice to get a freebie haha. Prices are decent, though.

Like an old Sizzler steakhouse covered with cartoon pig art. One of the most unattractive "dining" rooms I have had the displeasure of sitting in. The good news? The ribs are some of the best I've had. Caramelized burnt sugar on the tips. A great sauce. Nice pull away. Etc. Just pork perfection. The BBQ sauce on the table is superior to anything else they can bring out. Stick with that. It's an excellent sauce. So this is a tough review. I didn't try anything else, but the ribs.. and they were next level great. So of you go here and my review doesnt jive - remember I ONLY had the ribs. This is a 2 star place but I am going higher because the ribs are just so doggone outstanding. Best ribs in Branson. (Oh, and I think the name of the place is lame too.)

Didn't even know this place was around until we were told, and you can easily miss it. Inside - 4/5 - Inside is nice and very clean. Plenty of places to sit. You go past multiple seating areas to the back to order. Food - This can range from 5/5 to 1/5 depending on what you order. We ordered a little of everything off the entire menu. Anything with bread wasn't great. Which honestly isn't a slam at all. It's a bbq meat place. Reality is, sandwiches and things usually are not great at places like this. The specialty dogs and sandwiches were just kinda boring. They were messy, and the great meat flavors were ruined by boring basic bread. Almost all of the meats were AMAZING. Comfortable, but a bit chopped up and crowded. They're not striving for romantic dinners. We started out with an order of their Onion Rings. Do not skip this step! And make it a large! You'll thank me for that tip. Ordering the chicken is a bit confusing, especially when your server tells you that the two thigh, one drumstick dinner is their white meat option (bless her, she said "This is my first week, I'm still learning the menu."). The chicken is very good - crispy, tender, and juicy. But don't expect large. These pieces must come from a five pound bird. The sides I ordered were their house coleslaw and potato salad. Both old German recipes. I'd recommend skipping these. The slaw was garlic heavy and sour and the potato salad had very little taste. It's not that they're wrong, just unexpected and not that good for my taste. But you may feel differently. Somehow these recipes have survived for decades! Overall, I rated Pichler's above average. It's an experience with good chicken, good service, great onion rings, and a damn interesting name!
