Since diagnosing water hammering often involves a process of elimination, Martine evaluated the situation, confirmed that my water pressure was within an acceptable range, and presented three possible solutions at different price points. Interestingly, each plumber who provided a quote offered a different explanation for what might be causing the issue. Given that water hammering can have multiple potential causes, I ultimately decided to pursue the simplest solution: installing a washing machine arrester valve, which was recommended by another company. Although I chose a different approach, I appreciated Martine's professionalism, punctuality, transparency, and willingness to explain the available options.
