Had a craving for some tacos and came here since we were in the area! Clean place with a good amount of seating; however, the individual taking our order at the counter seemed very bored and was not that welcoming. We ordered the chicken tacos with a side of beans and chicken quesadilla with a side of chips. Was disappointed that they didn't give you the option to mix and match tacos, especially since I found the price point to be a little high. That being said, I did appreciate how the chicken quesadilla had a lot of meat in it, which made it really filling! The beans were really delicious- highly recommend ordering this as a side if you do come here. As for the salsas, you have to grab the bottles from the counter where you order, and by the time we got there, there was only one bottle left? Would've appreciated more salsa options. We tried their Horchata, which was alright. I did like how it wasn't too sweet. Overall, when taking pricing into account, would recommend venturing somewhere else. read more

The food is good here but very disappointed in service. - no substitutions you get three of the same tacos no options. Response buy 9 tacos. 3 of each kind. - tipped when you order at the counter - tipped again when ordering separately at the bar - menu makes little sense - how they operate was confusing - bartender unwelcoming - asked the runner for some hot sauce after she asked if we needed anything else as she set the plates down. She pointed to the other room and said I could go over to the ordering counter and grab a bottle of sauce - overall, the owner should change this up as it should be packed like the other places around there at 6:30 on a Friday. They weren't. Also, I'm no longer tipping before the meal and not when you order at the counter. - read more

Quick, easy and delicious. I come here for lunch at least once a week I typically order the Carnitas Tacos. Nathan took my order and recommended the Deluxe version. So happy I did... Amazing flavors and a lot of food for the price. Truly delicious! Nathan was super friendly and provided great customer service. Thank you for the continued and great experiences read more

Absolutely terrible service and we decided to walk out. Stopped by earlier today and we hit a brick wall when asking about the menu. Not everyone has been here before and knows your menu and your staff shouldn't be incredibly rude to someone for asking if they can order a single taco (which apparently you can't...despite it being a dedicated taqueria?). There are many other charming places in the area...I don't know why anyone would choose to go here. read more

Came here on Saturday night around 6:30. The food here is 5 star GOOD! Best queso I've had in awhile. The food ordering / service was a bit of a struggle. I wish I'd taken some photos of the inside, but to give a quick summary you walk in and directly in front is the menu and counter with two tills. Behind is the bar / food service area. There are tables to the left and then a whole other seating area and bar in the other part of the restaurant on the right. It was super crowded at 6:30 on Saturday, lots of families. There is no table service, you order at the front. This was a cluster because there's no real way to form a line and you're right in the crosshairs of traffic from the front door and people crossing between the two sections of the restaurant. Also in the corner is a service station with to go boxes, napkins and such so it's a high traffic area. The guys working the tills were struggling. One had a hard time with basics like adding salsa to a chip order. He also neglected to tell us that you can't mix and match your ingredients in your 3 Taco selection (can't do beef, chicken etc all 3 have to be the same) so we wound up with way too much food and a really high bill :( our fault for not noticing until after. They also would randomly have a 2nd person come over and help with the line but since guests couldn't form a real line it was just chaos. They're trying to be efficient which I can totally appreciate for a restaurant that busy but they might want to consider table service. We would have ordered more drinks but given the line we decided against it. Only food complaint was the cheese quesadilla was plain (maybe this is meant more for kids?) and we actually intended for it to be Pork but that got messed up with the order. I have to say the chickpea tacos were out of this world!! Same with the chicken and holy smokes that QUESO!!!!! Best I've had in Seattle. Chips are super fresh and perfectly crunchy and evenly salted. Food was really great all around. We'll be back! read more

VISIT HISTORY: - Last visit: for national taco day! Last Tuesday. - Frequency: first time. - Visit again? Definitely! FOO(D)RINK: - Guacamole: salty and addictive chips. The guac was cold, wish it was a bit more acidic. Not the best but not the worst. Not memorable but not terrible. I still finished it all bc unfinished guac is a sin. - Fish taco with the pineapple: sauce game perfect harmony. Enjoyed thoroughly. - Carnitas taco: meat a bit dry but the quantity of meat was plentiful. Never trust a taco with wimpy amount of meat. VIB(E)XPERIENCE: - Staff: sat at the bar and the bartender was apologetic for being late but I didn't notice him being late. It took minutes to grab someone's attention to get utensils + hot sauce but insignificant. - Noise level: I could hear the music lightly in the background and could hear the other parties that we're 2-3 tables away but never so loud that I couldn't hear my own party or shout. The noise level was comfortable. - Wait time for foo(d)rink arrival: Guacamole 6min 52 seconds. Tacos: 12 min 18 sec - Wait time for our check: 10 seconds (we sat right by the bar so it was really quick.) - Let's paint a picture: Imagine after a long day, walking in to the lights, the cute little decorations with casual upbeat music to lift up your fatigue while your tummy gets fed. Leave feeling satisifed with the stress left behind. read more

Can't say enough positive things about this restaurant! Subtle flavorful food. Great service. Wonderful atmosphere.

Delicious tacos, guacamole, and queso! And the best frozè I've ever had. Also a nice mellow part of Cap Hill.

Good ratio of chorizo to potato, perfect smokiness of the beans. Not the same value for the food as El Gallito on 20th and Madison, but if you want more intrigue with your tacos (or your drinks), this will be your place. The 12 bus stops on 19th, so no need to add to the street parking mess. This, and the more comfortable and intimate interior, makes it a considerably better option than Barrio for a fun outing with friends or a date. No lunch crowd at 2 PM, but clear important things are happening. I will be coming back for dinner! read more

Rocket Taco - Lunch! Chorizo Potato Traditional Tacos (comes with a side of smokey pinto beans). - Tacos Near Me - Seattle, Washington

It's the little things that make a taco joint amazing and this place certainly appreciates the little details of a fine taco. We started out with the Queso and then got down to some taco. The Queso has some chorizo potato in it which adds some nice flavor and while it's the dip kind of Queso (not the fundido stringy kind) it is a bit thicker which kept its dripping to a minimum and was a tasty treat overall. Then we got the chorizo potato tacos and the carnitas tacos. Both were really tasty but I liked the chorizo potato more, there is so much flavor in the chorizo and the potatoes have been cooked enough that they mush with that flavor. Carnitas were tasty and still had enough juice to have some good flavor. They came served with a little cup of beans and that was kind of nice on the side. The cocktails were also really good, we got the habanero grapefruit one and had a couple. Then our bartender came over with a round of tequila shots which was a really nice gesture and I appreciated very much. read more

Wonderful addition to neighborhood! We had the carnitas and fish tacos. The carnitas were juicy and bursting with flavor. The tortillas were something to write home about. Two choices of hot sauce - the green sauce had a nice kick. The 'delux' platter comes with three tacos and a small side of beans for $12. Seating is cafeteria style, you go up to the counter and order & find your own spot. They'll walk around calling your name when your food is ready. Water is self serve, they have Modela in tap and horchata. read more

We came on a Saturday afternoon and the place was pretty empty. The ambiance is great and easy going and the staff was really friendly. We ordered 4 meals which include 3 tacos and a side of beans, a kids plate, 4 drinks and queso fundidio with chips. The total was almost $90.00. The food came out fast and was good. They have 2 types of taco; traditional and deluxe. You definitely want to spring for the deluxe. The griddled fish and chorizo potato are very flavorful and are my favorite. However, the horchata drink was the best part of my meal. It was heaven in a cup. We will be back for sure. read more

Guacamole was pretty good. Not as good as Chipotle Restaurants. The chorizo tacos were delicious. The chicken quesadilla chicken tasted like the meat came out of a can. The beans were very good. It's worth giving them a try on some other food items read more

Excellent customer service and the food never disappoints along with pretty inexpensive. ( for Seattle $

Great service! I ordered some tacos, thinking that the tortillas would be corn which is typical. The tacos arrived quickly but the tortillas are looked different to me. I have a gluten sensitivity so I asked and was told that they are corn and wheat. When the guy found out I was gluten-free he just made me a whole new plate of tacos. Very generous and kind. Good tacos too. I suggest the carnitas. read more

Great food and great service. Outdoor and indoor seating. Takeout is also delicious and usually is ready before estimated.

I've been coming here for the past 3 years and the food continues to be excellent along with the drinks being strong. They have a ton of great, new items that continue to come out too. Their salsa is actually very spicy ! There is never enough seating as this place is so popular. If you coming during the off peak hours you shouldn't have a problem though. read more

Food - 2 stars $12 for $3 worth of tacos. Just because it's in Seattle doesn't mean it should have a markup. Some of my favorite flavorful tacos are $1.50 from a food truck. These tacos were flavorless, boring, lacking innovation and thought. Drinks - 1 star Poorly made, drink menu wasn't explained as there were several options available to others that weren't listed. Service - negative 1 Star The bartender with the long blonde hair had the absolutely worst vibe and attitude I've experienced in awhile. He was downright curt and rude the entire time. Messed up our order and then when I corrected him, was rude again. Total disaster of an employee. Overall, 1 star, would not recommend, will not return. read more

Review is mainly only good because of the convenient ideal location, nice ambiance, quick service. The food itself was left to be desired. They started doing enchiladas so I opted to get this. For $13 you can get three with a side of beans and a small side salad. You can pick verde or rojo sauce on top and pick your filling. I got the chorizo and potato filling. The dish itself completely lacked any seasoning, salt or flavor. Even the beans topped with cheese were bland. You know something is wrong when the best part of the dish is the side salad which was basically just leafy greens with some dressing. My friends quesadilla was equally mediocre. Prices are on point for portion sizes but even still the food is not worth it. read more

I came for the churro waffles at brunch and they did not disappoint. They were so crispy and delicious. The chocolate sauce it came with was an aspiring diabetic's dream, and I mean that in the best of ways. The service was top notch as well. Everyone I encountered was extremely friendly and helpful. I'll definitely be back! read more

Service was good and cocktail was great. The taco was just ok and for the price point kinda expensive.

Yum! The one thing I didn't live about this was the pot de creme which just wasn't my favorite. Their food is super good though!!!

Living within walking distance of Rocket Taco, I can say without a doubt this is my favorite local spot! Been here multiple times with several people and have not had any complaints. If you're looking to try some tacos, my recommendation is to get the Carnitas, but I would personally recommend a Chicken Quesadilla. R.T.'s Quesadillas are huge and delicious, served with a side of salsa and cilantro crema. If you're looking for a spot to unwind with friends over some snacks and drinks, Rocket Taco has you covered too! Their margaritas are flavorful and potent, so watch out, and, at $6, an order of guacamole is a steal. Enough to split split between three or four people, it is a no-brainer for the table if you're here for drinks. Heck, just come here by yourself and sit at the bar, the staff are so friendly and make ya feel right at home. Protip: After you order and pay, they give a table marker/number. Just sit down and put the marker out and will bring your order out to your table! read more

This is my favorite taco place yet! Started coming here when it was just a small place on Whidbey island and I was thrilled to here about the Seattle location, which is much close to myself. The tacos are so flavorful and each is so unique in style and creation. My personal favorite is the carnitas deluxe tacos. I have tried steak, fish, tortilla soup, salads, chips etc. and would order each again- all very yummy! This is a meal I would, and have driven and taken the ferry to for lunch. Staff are very friendly and atmosphere is unique. I could go on and on. I love it! Give it a try! read more

Best tacos in town! The atmosphere is great, and you can tell people like working there. The owner is always around helping out which shows great character. Their guacamole is amazing, and our favorite tacos is the carnitas, however you can't go wrong. The best part is that side of beans. And for dessert: the key lime pie. Must try! read more

Rocket Taco is really good at what it does: offers delicious, fresh, quality food at reasonable prices. From a culinary perspective they take a few small risks that pay off. We have a family with almost-tweens, and Rocket Taco is solidly in our rotation of take out options. It's solid. read more

The tacos were bad. The beans saved the meal a bit. The salsas were bland and sugar seemed to be in everything. Just a really poor mexican restaurant of which Seattle seems to have a bunch. read more

The tacos here are quite good with nice homemade corn tortillas. My husband and I shared the chicken and carnitas tacos (I echo other reviews - I wish I could mix and match rather than having to get 3 of the same tacos!). Both were good with a nice variety of flavorful toppings. The beans were okay, nothing amazing. We also had chips and guacamole. The guac was decent, but could be more flavorful, but hard to mess up avocado! The restaurant had high chairs for our baby, but she was a tired one so it ended up being a really fast meal. Luckily the food was served really quickly, so we were in and out fast! read more

I first had rocket taco a few months ago, before traveling to Alaska for the summer. I literally dreamed about their quesadilla not once, not twice, but three times. The manager, Nathan, is the best - Very accommodating, and gave us samples of the margarita flavors before purchasing a full one. The whole staff is amazing as well. You can literally get anything off the menu and be more than satisfied. Authentic, delicious, and a super fun atmosphere. 10/10, would recommend, WILL go again. read more

Rocket Taco - Beef quesadilla + happy hour guacamole and pico with chips, and nachos. Six stars! - Tacos Near Me - Seattle, Washington

Never been here before. Came here because I needed to grab lunch quickly. This place is good but totally not worth the price tag. I spent FIFTEEN DOLLARS on a cup of pozole and three chorizo potato tacos. Their ingredients are fresh but the spice level is definitely for people who NEVER eat spicy food. The pozole was bland. The tacos were decent but really didn't taste like chorizo, you know? No spiciness, no real heat, but again, the ingredients were fresh and you can tell. I feel like this part of Capitol Hill definitely caters to a particular crowd and this crowd is a place I don't fit in, tastebud-wise or income bracket-wise either! If you wanna get tacos that are better, go down to the Rainier Valley for half the price and double the flavor. Put your hard-earned dollars back in your pocket and head back home or pay for cheaper and better food elsewhere. read more

okay tacos, great salsa sauces with a good tortilla shell. didn't like the chicken they had, but the fish tacos were decent. However hated the fact that they didn't allow to mix the kind of taco in a plate of 3 tacos. Why make it hard for the customer to buy and try different things. This sounds like so yester year's kind of thing!! That's just such a non-starter for me. Anyways the name is catchier than their tacos. Go if you are in the area, but nothing special otherwise. read more

There are so many other better, cheaper places to get tacos that don't suck. The tortillas are too thick, the salsas - all three - taste like varying forms of plastic, the food in general is bland. If you hate traditional tacos or Mexican food, then this might suit you, but as someone who was so excited to get Mexican food next door, I went here twice and will never go again. It was so disappointing. My Paloma was tasty though. The drinks decidedly do NOT suck. read more

I love this place. We walk over a couple times a month the owner/manager is one of the friendliest guys on the hill. They started on Whidbey where I grew up. The vibe is great, decor a fun Spanish vibe. Food is excellent. We are big fans of the Carnitas but you really can't go wrong with anything. Bar side is always full and the staff are enjoyable to talk to. My food wasn't ready when I got there tonight and he offered me a beer which I drank in a Togo cup on the sidewalk. Yes not legal however we are in the midst of a crazy pandemic so cut me some slack. We social distanced the whole walk there and back. read more
