I got an iced coffee, a sugar cookie, and some bagels. Everything was pretty tasty. It didn't knock my socks off but I'll definitely be back. There was plenty of seating and the barista was very nice. Unfortunately there's only street parking out front so it might be hard to find a space depending on the hour.

I visited Rocket a little bit ago and was very impressed! Wonderful coffee and pastries, as well as a cute ambience. The service was also great! One of the best spots in Spokane!

I've tried the Café Genera and the Honey Almond Latte and both were fantastic! If you are looking for a spacious place to have a meeting and get some work done, with the option of having coffee or a beer and a treat or some food, then this place is for you. The only thing that I'm not thrilled about is their parking lot, but at least they have one! It seems as though, if you are lucky enough to park in the lot, the only way out is backing your way out of the lot and onto the street! Yikes! But the coffee is good, so I'd say it's worth the parking hassle.

Really great atmosphere, when we walked in no only was the warmth very pleasant, but the greetings were warmer. We felt very welcomed and were given no pressure to order. We looked at the food and the menu and decided what we wanted. The baristas were so kind and so friendly, answered all our questions and made great suggestions. My boyfriend got a Bacon and cheese frittata and a cold brew. The frittata was outstanding and the cold brew was great. I had a cinnamon roll (which are huge) and a Earl Gray Tea. The cinnamon roll was perfectly soft and chewy and the Tea was made to perfection. Overall, I know we would be back to this location again for a splendid time

I ordered a soy chai in a mug and a chocolate biscotti, both were delicious and complimentary. The chocolate biscotti was in a glass jar and not pre-wrapped in plastic. My mother ordered a caffe generra w/an orange biscotti and would recommend to anyone who loves orange chocolate coffee. There was a whole case of pastries to pick from, along w/quiche, & deli sandwiches. Also, apparently there are several other locations in Spokane. However, with this particular location you get to enjoy some amazing historical views of beautiful downtown Spokane. I would recommend this place to any other coffee shop goers.

When life gets too big, I find running away to coffee shops makes the big feel not so overwhelming. And the Rocket Bakery has quickly turned into one of safe spots downtown. I ordered the cold brew with cream and a Greek bagel. The coffee was smooth and crisp. The bagel larger than life both in size and flavor. As I dove into my journaling which was being guided by a stunning sun beam, the gentle sounds of the coffee machine steamer hissed and meaningful conversations were being whispered. I am longing for my return!

    And everything bagel?

Their bagel selection seems to be suffering.. At least for me. I love savory and miss garlic, onion or salt bagels. They seem to be focused on cheese topped and their version of an everything. I'm not sure this really qualifies. Coffee is still good though

My favorite Rocket Bakery location. I walk up the stairs from Peaceful Valley and *BAM!* there it is. I'm currently doing penance because I just now found out about this place. It's the closest food/drink place to my house, and I've been at my current location for 7 months...I can be quite the village idiot sometimes. Notables: - Nice little patio section (I probably wouldn't have mentioned this normally, but the weather was perfect when I stopped by this morning) - As others have wisely noted, interior is both spacious and cozy. It is the jumbo shrimp of indoor spaces. - BEER SELECTION! As one of Spokane's council of 12 beer geeks I feel like a fool for not knowing about this place. Lots of good bottled beer to drink there or take some to-go. (I don't advocate discretely drinking a micro-brewed ale in a park on a beautiful day and recycling it...that's against the law of course) - For all you wine people out there, the wine selection looked to be pretty decent as well. - The roast beef bagel sandwich. It has HORSERADISH! And the horsey hasn't been neutered/guilded either, it actually packs some nose-fume punch, kudos for not nerfing the horseradish guys! - Baked goods: it IS a bakery after all. I'm not much into baked goods/sweets, however there were many to be had here, and they were effing YUGE! Is it just me or have only the biggest and baddest of carrot cakes been passing on their genes resulting in bigger-than-a-breadbox personal carrot cakes? (this applies to most all baked goods. Muffins, I'm lookin' at you too) So why not 5 stars? I've been feeling like a whore lately, I give 'em up too easily. and I'm kind of cheap. $8 for a bagel sandwich and coffee to go just doesn't feel quite right to me. (as another reviewer pointed out though, these are easily the best bagels in town)

Look how beautiful these are! I went to Hidden Bagel for the first time and got the Vegfest for $12…read moreand added a turkey slice for an extra $3. I got everything on top of a cheddar Jalapeno bagel with scallion cream cheese. This came with avocado, sprouts, pickled red onions, and tomatoes. This was delicious but I wish the bagel itself had more jalapeno flavor. It had great texture which I was pleased with and the sandwich itself was a decent size but a little steep at $15. Next time I might pass on the pickled red onions as they were a little strong and took away from some of the other milder ingredients. My husband got the breakfast bagel which came with sausage egg and cheese on a Jalapeno bagel with scallion cream cheese. He thought everything was delicious and meld perfectly but he thought the bagel itself lacked jalapeno flavor too. I think the cheddar on the outside was the strongest flavor. His Bagel came in at $12.00

Honestly, Wooden City really lives up to its hype. It's an upscale spot right in downtown Spokane,…read morebut still feels warm and lively instead of overly formal. Definitely one of the best-quality restaurants in the city, where every dish was thoughtfully made and packed with flavor. What we ordered: Starters: - Spring Salad: Super fresh and well-balanced. The snap peas were crisp, with strawberries added for sweetness, and the goat cheese + pistachios gave it a creamy, nutty contrast. The lemon & tarragon vinaigrette tied everything together with a light, herby flavor. - Jerk Cauliflower: Crunchy cauliflower with Caribbean spices with a creamy jerk sauce, good as a side Appetizers: - Peel 'n' Eat Shrimp: Really juicy and spicy from the Cajun spice. There's butter to dip in but I found it too greasy and prefer lemon instead. - Blistered Hungarian Peppers: Smoky pepper with some sweetness and savory from the sausage and cheddar. Served with a toasted focaccia that soak up all the sauce. Main dishes: - Chicken Schnitzel: One of the must-orders. Crispy, golden breading, super tender inside. The lemon & caper butter sauce added acidity and richness that elevated the whole dish. Yoy have to order extra because it's never enough for the table. Yes, it's that good. - Marbled Duroc Pork Chop: Another favorite . Juicy and tender, with 'nduja salsa brava bringing a spicy depth, while lemon tahini and marcona almonds added creaminess and crunch. I always missed tasting this dish like my first time - Beet Ravioli: Earthy and slightly sweet flavor, nice texture but I hate goat cheese so I'm not really a fan of this dish - Pesto Bacon Pizza: Delicious crunch, loved the combo of mozzarella and gorgonzola, kind of creamy with a bit of funk. Balsamic do help balance and gave it a sweet tangy flavor, or else it would be too heavy for me (yes, not a pizza fan) Drinks & Dessert - Not Mai Tai mocktail: very aesthetically looking drink, but a bit too sweet to my liking - Apple crisp: cozy and warm, with baked apple & pecan crumble and served with vanilla ice cream on top. Delicious ice cream. - Pumpkin cheesecake: My 3rd favorite of the night, I still dream about it!! Rich, smooth, and perfectly spiced, you shouldn't skip this!!! That said, I do have to take away a couple points for timing. Our foods took 45 mins to come out even though I had reservations and note the menu items via the email, and the wait time between each dish was also... very confusing. It broke the flow of our meal. But once the food hit the table, it was hard to stay mad, so I forgave them.

I feel like I just went to a dress rehearsal about a play about a group of friends who got together…read moreand said "How about we open a restaurant? That would be fun!" Tonight was just so strange. First, I had no idea who was an employee. There were two girls that were going around together over and over, they kept stopping at tables so I think they worked there...but they never had anything in their hands. Our server seemed to keep forgetting we were there. Or just forgetting she was employed in general. Seriously just not with it. She was very nice...when she remembered we were there. I will say the pizza crust tasted amazing. So many places that serve pizza think of the crust as just something to put toppings on, but this had great flavor. Sadly, it was rolled too thin and said toppings made it somewhat soggy. Caesar salad was ok. Romaine was really fresh and crisp and the homemade croutons were still a little warm. Very good. However, the dressing was rather bland. And when I asked for pepper for it, our waitress first had it in her head that I expected some kind of peppers on my salad. When she finally understood I meant black pepper, she went away. Eventually she returned. Not with a pepper grinder or a shaker, but a sauce bowl that had about 3 tablespoons of black pepper in it. I wouldn't use that much pepper if I cooked for myself for a week and used it with every dish. Had to ask for knives for some of people's meals. I will say the spicy lamb rigatoni was amazing, pasta just right and the sauce and flavor was peak. I am just not sure what to say, other than this was the strangest and most disorganized dining experience I have ever had. I think if a grown up showed up and brought the kids into line, this place would be amazing. Also, for what we paid, I expected to be wowed, not left wondering what I just experienced.
