While I'm tempted to give a higher rating for the FANTASTIC Lox bagel I got there recently, I was a little disappointed with this morning's latté that tasted more like milk than the espresso-ey goodness of a latté. The prices here are pretty reasonable, you're looking at $3-$6 for any sort of "fluffy" drink, and the base espresso prices are really decent. The atmosphere is lovely, there is always good people-watching to do and the baristas are friendly even when it's busy. Overall, I'd go again--even if just for the Lox! read more

This Rocket location has a hip vibe and a wider selection of food than I've seen at any of the others. The barista was very nice when I stopped in, and named off all of their bagel and cream cheese options for me when requested without any begrudging. I just got a hot chocolate (it was late people, I don't always drink h.c. calm down) instead of coffee, and an Asiago bagel with the pesto cream cheese (my favorite combo) and was happy with both. Prompt and friendly service, and was able to sit and read peacefully for an hour or two in their ample space. Great place to chill, and they are open until 8 pm (almost unheard of for a coffee shop in Spokane!) so it's a great place to meet up with people after school or work. read more

What a wonderful surprise! I had heard about the Rocket Bakery on television and thought it might be fun to try it out. I had soup, lox on a bagel, and a caramel roll. It was all wonderful!!! The service was excellent. The restaurant was clean and the atmosphere interesting. I can't wait to go back again. The only problem is deciding what to get. read more

I am adding to my review , I love the food and drinks here. It also is incredibly convenient but I come in almost every morning and to get a tea and bagel to go can take upwards of 15 minutes , the staff are all very nice but so relaxed it crosses into just slow . I continue to come back because of the close location to my home but might have to switch the the rocket by work on garland read more

This places coffee was amazing, and the people working there were super great! I LOVED the atmosphere here too. Fun, happy energy throughout. The only complaints are the system of where you order and pick up your coffee was backwards and the tables weren't very clean... Otherwise, great place! read more

Sub-par bakery, "disappointingly blah" coffee drinks and a complete and utter loss of service...... Do yourself a favor and go to the local convenience store for a power bar and an energy drink. Yes Rocket has its strengths; predominately when the regulars are working and they are in a good mood. If you ever experience someone behind the counter, whom maybe you haven't come across before......just walk away. I am not sure if these temp or newbies are hired for some sort of special program to assist individuals learning basic human and social skills OR if they are laced up from whatever is making their faces gloss over when attempting to do their job. I have been given the complete wrong order, forgotten about, ignored, and given terribly under toasted- cream cheese sogged bagels for the last time. For some odd reason my money and presence is just way too much for this establishment. Once-I get it. Every other time I go in there- come on now. Maybe they don't care, maybe the constant flow of "Alorica-ite" buddies that are scattered about the place that takes their minds off their jobs; either way its jaw dropping to see how these rocket employees handle simple communication or structure. The idea of rocket is great. We get it that living in Spokane is not glamorous. I like what you are trying to do in a cute little bakery with an industrial hipster type setting, that gives a New-York and big city vibe. Unfortunately the idea alone has only carried you so far. The sleazy location and lack of 'positive' regular customer base certainly has this place following the old saying of "you are who you hang around." read more

This one is my favorite Rocket. I like the downtown location. Parking is metered, but there's almost always a few spots open on the block. Nice place for breakfast or lunch. The bagels and pastries are great, but they don't put much meat on the sandwiches. They serve Cafe Vita coffee, which sure beats Starbucks but I wish they'd use a local roaster like Craven's, Thomas Hammer, or DOMA. Service is never bad, but as some other reviewers say, the staff is a little grouchy sometimes. Shortcomings aside, Rocket Bakery is my favorite cheap, quick breakfast place in town. The staff includes a girl who is rude, seems like she is trying to pick up guys while working. if you are older, married, disables, be prepered to be ignored by this person...Also ordered a coffee drink and it came 30 minutes after breakfast....If you order coffee and do not tip them. Let's start by saying the food is what I would expect and it is very good. But the coffee is absolutely terrible. It's too strong. I even asked what happened and they stated they changed the grounds measurement. Now it's worse than Starbucks. Not everyone wants to chew a drip coffee. And if they do, then they have the option to get an Americano. I'm just disappointed that it's no longer palatable to drink-no matter how much half and half I put in it. read more

Decent coffee, baked goods looked ok, but didn't try. Salads looked leftover from yesterday. It was ok. Not ok? The flow of order, pickup and creamer/finishing. You have to excuse yourself through line of customers to pick up drink and then wade your way back through to get to cream/sugar, etc. Needs better flow. read more

What a disappointment. This place could be soooo much better than it is. If you get a smile out of one of the servers without smiling at them first consider yourself shocked. You will find them too busy chatting with each other to provide anything that resembles service. As far as the coffee, I had already thrown mine away before I left the place, what a waste. I considered spitting it back in the cup but my wife would have killed me. The coffee at Dawn of the Donut was TONS better than at this place and of course, the baked goods were too. read more

Somebody Please Open a Real Bagel Shop! The food is just ok... but the Service is Terrible! Unfortunately, there is always an extremely long wait because there are almost no other places in town to get a bagel. Today, they would not sell me a beer because my ID was in my car. I'm 35 years old, and don't look a day under 30. I was there with my wife and two children so there should have been no questions. However, instead of just explaining that they could get in trouble - I was told that "Washington law requires that I carry my ID on me at all times." Are you KIDDING ME? You are going to make up laws to your customers? The lady was obviously having a bad day - but that is no excuse for terrible customer service. If only I could get a bagel somewhere else. read more

I went to the ticket bakery with a desire for caffine. I ordered a mocha which is something I always order trying a new coffee place and it overall was a very disappointing experience. Aftr waiting for 15 minutes they appoligized for being understaffed which is understandable. But what made this visit so disappointing was two ladies came in after me and our barista while we have been waiting for 10 minutes already attended to there drinks before they even addressed mine after he gave them there drinks I reminded a diffrent barista and he finished the drink. The mocha had no choloate or cream it as terrible and tasted worse then instant coffee. I as a customer never plan to return to a place that ignores me and can't even make a basic mocha. read more

Here's the thing - I love Rocket Bakery. Usually, the ladies who work behind the counter are awesome. The service is fast, friendly and spot on. This time, however, there was a new brunette girl with a bun who took 7+ minutes to figure out how to load a gift card for the person in front of me and only then did she ask if he wanted anything to drink. When it was my turn I was friendly but was met with a condescending tone and no apology for the wait. Asked me twice what my drink was. Terrible customer service. Will still be coming back but man, will avoid this lady for sure. read more

Sorry--we want to support a nice local business, but for a BAKERY this place sure doesn't speak "homemade" or "made from scratch". We had a pumpkin bar which was "shrinkwrapped" and there was greasy residue at the bottom. I had to peel off the icing. I love cream cheese icing, but this was slimy. The cappuccino espresso was extremely bitter. A big disappointment to someone visiting Spokane & looking for some good pastry after bike riding on the Centennial Trail. Will not return. The Rocket Bakery overstates itself with its name. Really it is just a decent coffee house. The baked goods are barely grocery store quality, bagels are just big and doughy. There is decent coffee, various mediocre food items and an assortment of beers and other beverages, free Wi-Fi. You can get it done here, just don't expect anything amazing. read more

Cookies are okay, last time I had coffee there it was pretty good but it's a hit and miss depending on the person making it. The girls that work there were not friendly at all! The one with the eye brows act like she didn't want to be there and seemed annoyed when I ordered. No smile, no thank you, didn't even respond when I said thank you, just asked the next customer what they wanted.. Location is great, outside seating wonderful. Staff very friendly , but oh darn those dry cinnamon rolls, no green salads, my tomato quiche lacked flavor, even needed to add a little salt and wait there is more, the plate my friends pasta salad was served on did not just have one chip, which is a nono, but six, I should have taken a picture of it. In China it means bad luck, I think she was lucky not to find one of the ceramic pieces in her pasta. read more
