Unfortunately they don't validate parking but I think it was first 30 minutes free. We had to visit another store but went there for a quick snack. Got the vietnamese ice coffee and summer rolls. I normally don't care that much for vietnamese coffee because the condensed milk is so sweet but this one wasn't too sweet and sooo delicious. Also, the summer roll had big beautiful pieces of shrimp and a yummy crunchy cracker in the middle along with my favorite type, peanut dipping sauce. Wow, what an unexpected and awesome find in Waikiki. This little restaurant was near my hotel and actually had a decent vegetarian menu and options, so I decided to give it a try. The food was actually really good! They gave thick cuts of tofu marinated in a flavorful chilli oil in their summer rolls. Their non-dairy Thai tea is actually one of the best I've had without the overpowering taste of coconut milk. I also enjoyed the vegetarian pho and tofu veggie noodles. I visited this local Vietnamese restaurant in Honolulu at the edge of Waikiki for takeout with cravings for Pho. While the Bahn Mi sandwiches were really good, and properly made, the broth in my beef pho lacked flavor and was very watery. Portions are more than generous. Service is quick and friendly. Nickelback (?!?) songs playing on an endless loop and the decor is a combo of blue Hawaii era Elvis photos. The name of the restaurant is unfortunate because at first glance, it gives the impression that it's a cheap sushi joint, not Vietnamese food and I'm sure many might pass it by for that reason. read more

First, let's talk about the food. We ordered Pho, curry with rice, curry with baguette, việt spring rolls, GF-V spinach burritos - Curry was salty and we needed an additional plain baguette. They charged us $13 for one plain baguette without anything with it. For reference, in California, a baguette of that size would not be more than $1. The bowl of curry with baguette that we originally ordered was only a few dollars more than $13. -Spinach burritos were average tasting and too creamy. -Việt spring rolls were wrapped so loosely that things just fall out. Việt spring rolls have very basic ingredients, one can usually tell how authentic the place is by how the rolls are rolled. -Pho was also not worthwhile for the price. We asked for non-spicy Pho without pepper and it came sprinkled with pepper. I would like to say that this place is expensive considering it's casual dining and very basic table service. We were shocked to see that our bill were the same as Pesca (fine dining on the top floor of Ilikai). In conclusion, I would never eat here again or take my family here again. There are so many other places to try on Hawaii. read more
