We came here for my daughter's birthday dinner because it was close to the Air BnB we were staying at and I will definitely put it on our list from now on. We had four teens and me, the middle aged mom. We had spinach artichoke dip and mozzarella fritti for apps and chx parm, a margarita pizza, spinach ravioli (the best), fettuccini Alfredo, and vodka rigatoni. The meals came with a garlic parm bread roll for everyone with dipping oil. It was all delish. We really enjoyed our meal and even with a generous tip, I spent less than $125 for all five of us. This place has become the gathering well for many in the area especially for dinner. The service is awesome whether you are a party of one or six. It has a very pleasant outdoor sitting, making your meal that much more enjoyable. Definitely a family ambiance. Tip, a large salad can actually be shared by 2-3 people. Highchairs are also available. There is parking but it fills up fast right at 6pm. Location is great if you live in Lindale Park or surrounding neighborhoods. This is a great place that is somewhat out of place in the Northside neighborhood it is in. I previously ordered Rocco's many times through Uber Eats because of their reasonable prices and always assumed it was a classic mom & pop neighborhood Italian joint. Imagine my surprise when I decided to stop in one day because I was nearby and found a modernly designed restaurant with happy hour even on the weekend. I have always been happy with the myriad items I ordered previously. My pizzas tasted fresh on delivery, and it tasted even better straight out of the kitchen. Super cute place, my new go to Italian spot! Family owned - it was so cozy it felt like I was having dinner at home. Started off with the bruschetta, super flavorful, the bread was perfectly toasted. We ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp and the Rigatoni Vodka sauce with spicy Italian sausage. Good portions, both the pasta and sauces were finger licking good. I have tried almost everything on the menu and each surprise me every time! Everything on the appetizer menu is super delish. I highly recommend the bruschetta, mozzarella fritti, antipasto misto and the scampi. They all go great with a nice, ice cold Peroni on tap. The food is ridiculous good. I gotta say driving toward Rocco's, I thought to myself is area seems a little sketchy. Lots of people walking on the side walks and riding their bicycles in the streets carrying groceries. The patio area of the restaurant faces an apartment across the street and the parking basically makes u back up into the street when you get ready to leave. I was surprised at how delicious everything was. First off the garlic bread was not freshly made. I can tell that it's bread that they popped in the oven right before serving. I can tell bc I reheat a lot of foods I have at home this was. The outside of the bread is hard yet the inside is not steaming. Tale tale sign right there. Came with a friend and ordered a mocktail mojito because I cannot have any alcohol whatsoever. The server rung in a normal mojito and I didn't realize until about two sips in. Brought it to the bartender and had her remake it the way I ordered. Never got so much as a manager sent over, not an apology from the server, had to leave my car overnight and was still given the bill with the mocktail on it. If it was a recovering alcoholic or a child or even a pregnant woman, they would have severely jeopardized someone's future. Searching for a place to have lasagna on a Sunday night is no easy feat as most Italian restaurants are closed on Sundays. When the scampi came out we were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the shrimp and used the remaining sauce to eat it with the complimentary bread. Amazing! We live close by, but have never visited this place because we typically don't go for Italian food. I wish we had eaten here sooner! We ordered it through Uber eats because we're lazy, so we expected that the food would be room temperature and maybe a little soggy when it arrived. It was not that way at all! We ordered the fried cheese, my boyfriend got the lasagna, I got the cappellini San Marco, and we got an order of the cannolis for dessert. The fried cheese was nice and crispy, and the marinara sauce that came with it was super yummy. My boyfriend loved his lasagna, but he couldn't finish because it was so filling, and that isn't like him at all! The best thing about it was that it was still piping hot - my boyfriend likes his food to be extremely hot, so he was really pleased with that. I loved my pasta, though I definitely burned my fingers a bit trying to get the tails off the shrimp. Adding the red pepper flakes made it even better! Lastly, the cannolis were amazingly crispy and the filling was spot on. I appreciated that they put some filling in the bottom of the container to help keep them from sliding around. Good wholesome Italian food seems to be hard to find in a sea of Olive gardens and Maggianos. This place fills that void. They seem to be new but is definitely going to be my go to for Italian. When you get there you will notice it's half restaurant half patio. Everything is a little cozy but it is no problem when you don't go on high frequency times. They have several specials going on daily so check the website for details. They start you off with some complimentary garlic bread. It comes out warm and in the shape of a roll, smothered in butter. The day I went was half off apps and we decided to have the spinach and artichoke dip. It comes in a small ramakin and you will think it's not enough but it really is all you need. The flavor is out of this world. It's heavy but totally worth the calories. Since I haven't had an Alfredo based dish in months I decided to get a big plate of Alfredo pasta with chicken. Not the most imaginative dish to order but it was what I was craving. The moment the warm creamy sauce it my mouth I was in heaven and my hunger was satisfied. The more I ate the more I realized the portion was more than enough and I was ready for a nap or a food coma. The person I was with got the lasagna that came in a mammoth proportion. I would love to tell you how it tasted but my friend inhaled it. So I'm sure it was amazing. I was looking for pizza places and this one had good reviews. I tried it for the first time today. The lady over the phone was friendly and I shared that I wanted a margarita pizza and then I asked if they had desserts. She listed off some and I asked her about the tiramisu and she said it was $6.50 and really delicious. She said the margarita was $11 (which I already knew as I saw the pricing menu). She said it'd take 15 minutes, I said great, thank you. I arrived and was a little nervous as the neighborhood looks sketchy. However, when I went inside it looked like a restaurant. However, the experience inside made me super comfortable as the cashier didn't have on a mask, and didn't practice social distancing. The server who brought out my food didn't have a mask or gloves. I thanked them and left a tip. The pizza tasted fine. The crust was the best part. The tiramisu tasted fine, not the best, not the worst. I was looking at my receipts later at home and noticed that I was charged $13 more for the pizza instead of the $11 the cashier quoted or what the menu stated. I called them thinking they'd refund me the $2 no big deal, the manager asked the cashier and she said that she didn't say that and said she has a menu in front of her that shows $13. I then told her that I could send her screenshots of the menu. She interrupted me and said that I could bring the pizza back and she'd refund me the $2?? I told her that's okay I'm not coming back, I'd just reach out to my credit card company and they'll handle it. She said that she'll let the owner know. I wouldn't go back not because of false pricing, but because of lack of care when it comes to social distancing & mask wearing. read more

Pretty meh. The girl taking orders on the phone sounded like she was bothered taking my order. My chicken was super dry, and so was my husbands. The chicken piccata has the same consistency as Mayo. It's just way too thick. The "garlic bread is just a dinner roll with some butter and parm cheese, but dry otherwise. I don't know how the ratings are so good.
