Trash panda was quite the opposite of trashy. Friday night and the Shrek theme pops up on social media. As we arrived, parking looks small and limited. However they have plenty of street and parking across. Theme was very well decorated. Kept clean and inviting. Drinks were good. Food was good, tried the $10 pizza Fridays. Also the chicken sammie. Fries were seasoned and crunchy. Service was great! Everyone was nice and greeted you as you walked in. Seating was both indoors and outdoors which also has bar seating. Comfortable and spacious, enough to have a personal conversation but still feel at a restaurant/bar ambiance. Look forward to next themes and evening hang outs.

This place is not what I expected. It was definitely better than I had anticipated. The vibe is dive bar, but their drinks were high-end bar. We tried a Saturn, Negroni, and Culture Shock. All were tasty but the one that shocked us all was the Culture Shock (Maker's Mark, Absinthe, Mushroom, Bell Pepper, Soy Sauce, Gochujang, Sage By: Parker Duncan). It has a savory taste. We also enjoyed a bucket of beer (best bang for your buck). For $25 for 6 beers (the menu doesn't make it clear how many beers you get). They have several beers to choose from and you can mix and match. The only thing I'd recommend is to ask for some paper towels as the buckets sweats a lot. The service was great and fairly quick. I saw them tackle long lines quickly multiple times while I was there. I'll have to come back and try some of their food!

Great atmosphere and very friendly staff. I ordered a drink that honestly wasn't my favorite, and the bartender kindly replaced it with another one without charging me. Excellent service, creative cocktails, and a really cool vibe overall. Definitely worth visiting in Houston.

My favorite bar in Houston! Stellar drinks, food, decor, atmosphere, and service! This place hits all the marks for me and is everything that I'd want in a bar. Yummy, innovative cocktails without the stuffy atmosphere. Sign me tf up. When I saw the Shrek theme for spooky season I nearly cried of nostalgia and happiness! Lol. They go all in for their themes and I really appreciate that. Such a fun spot to hang out. The core staff here are dedicated to their craft. My go to is the Hotel Nacional. Cheeky little rum drink that's the perfect balance of sweet & tangy. The seasonal menus are always a treat. And the food!? Fire. I usually get the trash nachos with beef fajita or cant go wrong with a classic pepperoni pizza. Aaand the kitchen is open until 2am!? Cherry on top. Can't tell you how many late nights Trash has come in clutch for that. They are the epitome of your friendly neighborhood bar. You can tell they care about their customers. It's the main reason why I find myself coming back time and time again. You can't say that about many bars! Good vibes all around. They are truly the best!

One word: DECOR!!! They did their thing with the decorations. There was true commitment to the theme! I liked it a lot. This was my first time visiting and I found the cocktail menu to be a bit confusing. When I looked at the menu provided on the QR code, it said that happy hour had $7 classic cocktails. Keep in mind it just said "classic cocktails", with no actual list of cocktails. When you look at the menu placed on the bar, it says classic cocktails $14 and a list of cocktails underneath it. I assumed those were the "classic cocktails" they were talking about for the happy hour. Long story short...I was incorrect. So make sure you ask what the classic cocktails are, before you assume like I did. Other than that, service was good and the food was even better. I can definitely see myself coming back!

I heard this place was transformed into a Nightmare Before Christmas pop-up, so we had to go check it out. This runs through Jan 5 only, so hurry up! This place has very limited parking so be careful where you leave your car as it's not the safest looking neighborhood. There is a sweet cat that will randomly come in looking for foods and pets. Better pay up if she comes to say hello to your table! With an ongoing event like this, expect some lines as they usually only have 1 or 2 bartenders and they have to make each cocktail as they get ordered. Decently priced drinks in all kind of themed cups. Lots of cool options. You're guaranteed to fine one you like. You MUST give them your ID as it's their way to guarantee you don't steal the very cool cups. They have above average bar food that's hot and fresh. The place looks like Jack Skellington threw up all over it (in the best way possible). Lots of cool spots to take photos at. They use the lighting and space in fun ways. Enjoy it for another week before it's gone!

Trash Panda had a awesome Pop Up of Khoi BBQ. Dude, obsessed. The BBQ was AMAZING, the rice was EVEN BETTER and the drinks were great and reasonable price. The only thing I dislike about Trash Panda are the flies. They need more fans, because if you have food, the flies are coming! Service (for drinks) was a tad slow, but we got our drinks and hung out outdoors. Plenty of parking in the overflow/street. Definitely check it out!

Amazing vibes - come-as-you-are, everyone welcome. Great bartenders that are super friendly and helpful when looking for a recommendation. Their cocktail menu is inventive and inviting; everyone should be able to find something to their liking and if not, it's a full bar so you can order your standards. I didn't eat any of the food but will next time - everything that came out looked great. They have an awesome happy hour with their house cocktails going for $7, which is a steal. Parking - small private lot and street

This place is pretty cool. Nice hole in the wall that has great music, drinks and vibes. I wish I would remember the last bar tenders name. He was an Asian guy and he was great. He made me some good off menu cocktails and also invited us to taste one of their limited Tequilas that they got from Mexico. The Tequila was some of the best that I've had. Nice and smooth, no bite. I don't know how long they'll have it since it's limited so I'd definitely go and check them out.

Went on Comdey night and it was really great !!Bartenders are very knowledgeable and the atmosphere is very friendly. Parking was a bit of a hassle but all around good vibes. We got the Birria Tacos and Pizza and they were really good. Would come back!

Seasonal set up an option? Heck yes I will be there to check it out. Stopped in with my friend and husband. First impression was someone smoking up on the patio which carried over into the bar due to the open doors. I wasn't impressed by this. However the bartenders were attentive and friendly. They were happy to be working which was a nice change to a lot of places lately. We had a heated drink along with I forget the other's name. They were nice pours and had a large variety. Not exactly my typical hang out due to the first impression but wouldn't mind a second attempt.

Came here for late night dinner and drinks after attending a show at White Oak Music Hall. We took an Uber, but they do have a small parking lot next to the bar. Upon entering, we noticed the "People hate us on Yelp" sticker which made us legit laugh out loud. We opted for a table on the patio because the music was loud inside and it was chilly. The DJ was set up on the patio and he was spinning some good tunes. It's counter service for ordering food and drinks. For my drink, I had the Heebie-Jeebies. It's a gin based cocktail with hibiscus liqueur, Salers aperitif, and plum bitters. Unfortunately I did not like this drink. I went ahead and drank it because I don't like to send drinks back, but I wouldn't order this drink again. I tasted some of Lupe's lychee martini and it was good, but tart. It wasn't the best lychee martini I've ever had, but it was definitely better than my drink. They have daily food specials. Fridays is $10 pizzas. We ordered the birria pizza with the jalapeño salsa on the side (which was a good call because the salsa was extremely spicy). This pizza was soooo good, especially with the consommé. We waited a good half hour for our food. It was a nice size and plenty of food for two people. One of the staff brought us some chips and queso on the house as an apology for the wait. The queso was thin, but flavorful; we were appreciative because we were starving. I always appreciate bars that serve late night food, and it's a bonus when the food is really good! The birria pizza exceeded my expectations. I'm looking forward to coming back for more of that pizza and to try a different drink that doesn't taste like cough syrup.

First time here on a Friday night. Walking up my first impression was how loud it was with the DJ outside. Walking inside it was not what I was expecting. I got the impression they were shooting for a classy dive bar vibe. Bartenders are dressed down and very causal but also very friendly. Lots of options on their cocktail menu. I had the lychee martini that was very tart and had more of a lemon drop taste. My date had the Heebee jeebies which was very bitter and hard to drink. We also placed a food order for a birra pizza. We grabbed a table outside on the patio as it was freezing inside the bar. After about a 30 min wait we were brought free chips and queso for the long wait. The server/bartender said it was for the long wait as there was a miscommunication with the kitchen. The queso was a bit watery but still had good flavor. Our pizza came out shortly after and is served with a side of consome. The pizza comes with a jalapeño salsa which we got on the side as we were unsure how spicy it would be. This salsa is made in house and so happy we got it on the side. It had good flavor but was crazy spicy. Too spicy for us. Overall the food was good for bar food. I will skip the specialty cocktails next time. Not bad for a neighborhood bar.

I was happy to try these warmer drinks on a nippy day and they were both delicious! I loved the spiced warm cider taste of rage Carol Singer, though the standout of the night was the Coconut hot chocolate. The whipped cream was perfect for giving the hot chocolate Christmas feel while still getting a kick from the rum and amaretto mix. Our servers were attentive and very accommodating. They did inform us of another party coming in to the same table 2 hours after our reservation which was very reasonable and we appreciated the heads up. I've also had the chance to stop by outside the Christmas season and was blown away by the tasty drinks and reasonable prices. I will certainly be back here next year for the 2026 Miracle at Johnny's!
