I had a plumbing emergency from a cracked irrigation tube in my front yard landscaping. Robin's plumbing came out the same day to fix the issue. They even suggested that a landscaper would be a cheaper option since it was related to irrigation lines. Hubby and our cat found a small pool of water on my office desk early Friday morning and that led to the discovery of a small leak coming through our ceiling. Freaked out, Hubby roused me from my slumber and I came down to see what was going on. My heart sank as I laid eyes on the leak that was slowly dripping down onto my desk. This was not how I wanted my Mother's Day weekend to start. I turned to Yelp for help once again and it did not disappoint. I put the 24 hour service that Robins Plumbing listed to the test and called right at 6am. My call was answered quickly by a live person and honestly, I was just so surprised. I guess it was due to me still be sleepy lol. Robin was able to help with my situation and our tech, Jon, was able to come out within 2 hours of my call. Jon was able to pinpoint our issue in no time at all. The leak was coming from our master bathroom shower upstairs. Sadly, we had to cut open a small part of the ceiling downstairs to access the pipe. The repair was done expertly and that's all the matters. Now, I need to get my ceiling patched up and I'll be happy as a clam. Extras: I don't know if Robins Plumbing is the best value of the bunch but they were quick to answer in my time of need and the repair was completed same day. That's pretty valuable to me personally. They accept a wide variety of payments, including credit card, so that is super helpful. Bonus points: they do not add on a credit card surcharge like some other companies. If you need some flexibility on payment, talk to the receptionist during the initial call to work something out. If the tech needs to cut into your wall/ceiling/etc., you will need to source your own repairs. I know that this should be obvious but I wanted to throw this in here just in case. Customer service side of things is superb. All my nerves melted away as soon as I talked to Robin. After a recent situation, I do not recommend doing business with Robins Plumbing because they do not stand by the equipment they sell. I was disappointed that Robins Plumbing would sell me a defective product, charge me to install it, and then charge me twice to fix it. Soon after moving into my new home, I hired Robins to install a water softener. They recommended a unit made by Wood Bros Industries. When it leaked within months of installation, I contacted Robins to do the repair work since they are the company I had dealt with. Robins charged me $79 for the service call. I thought this was unprofessional as the unit and labor should have been covered under a warranty, and I disputed this service fee. Robins stated it was the manufacturer's issue and suggested I contact them. Because the fee was only $79 and I thought the unit was repaired, I decided to let it go. However, approximately a week later, the softener began to leak again. I called Robins again thinking they would honor the fact that they had already been out to fix it. Robins came out again, but this time they advised me the leak was a manufacturer's equipment defect and they could not fix it. They advised me that the only thing they could do was to deliver it back to the manufacturer for a warranty repair, and then reinstall it for a labor fee of $750. I was not happy with this result. Once again, Robins suggested I contact the manufacturer, Wood Bros Industries, to be reimbursed for Robins' labor fee. This is not good customer service by Robins Plumbing as they did not stand by their own recommended product. Further, I contacted Wood Bros to see if they would reimburse the $750 labor charged by Robins, but they said the warranty process didn't work like that and they would contact Robins. In the end, I paid Robins $750 to install a replacement water softener and never heard back from Wood Bros. I thought it was important to relay this disappointing experience. I recommend anyone having a distributor install a water softener clarify in advance the process and payment for repair work. read more

We met the representative of Robin's Plumbing when we were faced with a plugged drainage line. Robin's plumbing was referred to us by the insurance abatement company. It became an insurance concern. Because of the drainage line Robin's plumbing made recommendations including breaking out the wall of my kitchen so that the kitchen cabinets could be saved, or remove and replace the cabinets so the drainage line could.be accessed from the inside of my kitchen, protecting the integrity of the structure. Long painful extensive story short, my house has been structurally compromised by the crew of plumbers beyond belief. We were ask to leave my home for five days while the plumbers cut and demolished the concrete slab from the front of the structure to the back yard; from the front bathroom of the house to the back bathroom (two bath, three bedroom), only one bedroom remained untouched ... we'll not really untouched as the group of plumbers made my bedroom storage for my household items that they came to believe were in the way of their progress. They cut out closet walls, closet walls unnecessarily removed in order to access the sink plumbing in the front bathroom. Did I mention the slab was cut from the front bathroom to the back bathroom and finally terminating at the sewer line behind the house outside the wall of the back bedroom. The wall behind the kitchen sink was structure compromised (even though it was promised the wall would not be compromised) both inside and out. Dirt was piled where the toilets, the shower, and the bathtub were removed leaving dirt piled beneath my freezer, my refrigerator and inside the walls of the structure, and beneath my furniture. Robin's Plumbing states they do all of the necessary cleaning after they have completed their work. My home was violated with complete disregard while the plumbers had bosession of my home. They treated my home with disdain as they dumped busted concrete block into my yard; my irrigation system was broken and buried; holes were left unaddressed, left behind for me to address. As I stated earlier, dirt and broken concrete were piled beneath my household appliances which had to be moved so that I could use a garden shovel to scoop and remove piled dirt and busted concrete they left behind. They put no rock around new sewer lines before covering the sewer lines with concrete. They put no stabilizing pins in the areas where new concrete was added where the concrete slab was cut and removed. They rinsed their concrete mixer, dumping concrete and concrete water on my front lawn, killing my lawn. My personal items remained in the house, 100% unprotected from concrete dust, dirt, and drywall dust, totally disregard, treated as if my household belongings were nothing but an obstacle and in their way. Water was sprayed from beneath my kitchen sink cabinet onto and beneath my refrigerator, my brand new kitchen cabinets, my kitchen work surfaces, and beneath my oven and onto my stove top. Holes in the concrete block remain open in the structure's back wall where bugs and pests easily access the openings. My laundry room also has holes left by the plumbers, Representatives of Robin's Plumbing, where dirt and pests easily access my home. On and beneath my new washer and dryer was left broken concrete where jackhammers broke holes for the sewer lines that do not pass through the slab but through the back wall of my house, for me to clean. Robin's plumbing states they clean up after themselves when the job is complete, right? They left a mud trail from room to room and door to door for me to address. They left debris behind drywall cavities inside walls. They knocked insulation loose from the attic, left behind the bathtub, inside the walls. Holes were left exposing the dirt once beneath the slab, now exposed... and bugs, bugs came from everywhere as now their environment was exposed, holes with no concrete to seal the slab from exoskeleten invaders. The Representatives of Robin's Plumbing completely disrespected and disregarded my life, my personal belongings, and my home with an attitude of total disdain for me and my wellbeing all at a financial cost of $49,000.00. My house remains a filthy pig to this day as it is everything I can do to maintain it on a daily basis. Would I recommend Robin's Plumbing to anyone I know or even a stranger? I do not recommend Robins Plumbing for your water heater/plumbing repairs. After paying for a service call fee, diagnostic fee and labor cost my water heater is still not working. A part was replaced but the same error continues to show on the display screen and there is no hot water. I called the company back and when the technician arrived he charged another service call fee and explained that had to charge another diagnostic fee even though the problem was never fixed. After paying all these fees and charges I am still without hot water and looking for a reliable and transparent plumbing company. A total waste of time. Call someone else! read more

Contacted Robins plumbing regarding having a toilet shutoff valve replaced and then replacing the toilet. They sent Matthew and Francisco. Matthew is obviously a journeyman plumber as his knowledge level and communication skills were the best I have ever seen in a plumbing professional. His skills and communication also shined through as he was apparently training Francisco and as I listened from my office, I thought to myself this guy is a great trainer. Needless to say, Francisco did a great job also. They both were clean, polite and professional. Price was good, basically what the market states. I called some, but when I spoke with Stephanie at Robin's Plumbing, she gave me excellent tips to make sure my new toilet would work in our house. I like her personality, too. We reached out to Robins Plumbing to troubleshoot and provide an estimate for a water concern. I told the person I spoke with that I needed someone who could provide some creative solutions for our issue. I was guaranteed they would send out one of their most qualified service people. I gave them 1 star because the guy was nice. Unfortunately he did not provide any creativity to the issue and he ended up providing a $5k+ estimate for a solution that provided him. I could talk a handyman through the correction for a fraction of the cost. I think they just want the money for the service call and estimate and had no desire to actually do the work. Robins plumbing saves the day! I ran into some bad luck with my bathroom remodel - resulting in a half done project that was in many places completely wrong. Trying to find someone to pick up the pieces and get my shower up and running was difficult as many folks I talked to didn't want to risk being responsible for the previous contractors' work. From the moment I called Robins plumbing they were fantastic. They scheduled me promptly and let me know what to expect from the quote process. When Damon arrived I was pleased to discover that he is a fantastic communicator. He brought with him a good sense of humor and a listening ear as I explained what I knew had gone wrong and where my concerns were. He was able to review the work that was already done, identify the pertinent code violations, explain where there was a failure to follow manufacturers specs, make suggestions to improve the design, and provide me a comprehensive itemized quote to get the project done. Of course I hired him. And like all renovations, things sometimes go wrong. Every time they did he stopped work to explain what was happening, what my options were, and how that would affect cost. My biggest regret is not having started this job with him. I'm looking forward to having him do my second bathroom. read more

Mainly here to tell you that the $85 fee for them to come to your house is really $170 because it's another $85 just for them to tell you what's wrong. ("Diagnostic fee") So you'll pay $170 even if they do nothing at all. (I was unaware of this til the day of) Saved up money to have the plumber come check a toilet that kept clogging. He came, turned the water on, flushed the toilet (it flushed perfectly) said the toilet just needs to be replaced. He only had a $700 toilet on his truck and it would all end up being close to 900 which I simply didn't have. He offered to install one from Home Depot, but with the hourly cost it was still going to be too much and I only had a few minutes to even decide. So I paid $170 for him to flush the toilet, give me the news and leave. I can't speak on their skills, or services. But I can at least give others a heads up. Now, my old toilet is still flushing fine... I haven't had to replace it yet. I reached out to Robins plumbing to let them know my disappointment, but heard nothing so I'm leaving this here. read more
