Had called Robins to come out and fix my Nuvo water filter system. Jon was amazing. Helped identify the issue and walked me thru options to replace the old system for a brand new one that was 10x better. He worked hard thru the day and scorching heat to make sure that the unit was installed correctly so we wouldn't run into any future problems and even installed a new cage for the system. Called Robins Plumbing on a Saturday around 2:15 PM. The water softener had been removed from one of our rental properties and the loop needed to be soldered back in. A relatively simple job with two elbows and a 4 inch piece of straight copper. But, the house water had to be turned off until the job is complete. So, it was a bit urgent. We figured getting someone to come and do the work on the same day would be a challenge or we'd be gouged on price. We called a dozen places and had three say that they could fix it same day. Autumn answered the phone at Robins Plumbing and could not have been friendlier. She said schedules were tight for the day and it was unlikely they could send somebody. She spent a good five minutes working on the schedule to figure out how to help us, which I really appreciated. She ultimately found that Brandon could come on site within the next 60 to 90 minutes to fix our issue. I figured if he was as friendly, knowledgeable and service oriented as she was, it would probably be a good thing. A huge storm rolled in with crazy wind and lots of rain just before Brandon was due to arrive. Brandon still met his commitment and even texted me when he was on his way to tell me he was 15 minutes out and might be a couple minutes late due to driving through the storm. Turned out when he got there, he was driving a large, professional box truck from Robins that was likely blowing around in the wind like mad. Brandon could not have been nicer or more knowledgeable. Even though it was a relatively simple job, he explained my options and the cost associated with each. I really appreciated that. I also told him I'd like to brush up on my soldering skills and asked if he would mind giving me some tips as he did the repair. He was phenomenal, shared with me why he was doing what he was doing and what the benefits were. He was friendly, communicative, knowledgeable, professional and genuinely concerned with our satisfaction. We really couldn't have asked for more in an on-site plumber. As for the price, it was just over $200 for what seemed like $20 worth of parts and 25 minutes. But, compared to other plumbers this was an excellent deal, over $100 less than another and the fact that he had a massive truck with all the parts and correct tools and his knowledge along with the information he freely shared, this was an excellent experience and worth it. I would absolutely recommend this company, they truly feel like a family owned company that cares. And I would highly recommend Brandon, specifically. read more

We had a kitchen sink that was slow draining over the weekend, so we were able to get an appointment that Monday morning. Our tech Jon arrived to the appointment about 10 minutes early and got right to work. He was able to snake our drain and get it working better, but noted that our garbage disposal that came with our house was probably the culprit of the slow draining because it was just not a very good model. He showed my husband different models of garbage disposals we can look at in the future to replace it. He also took a look at a toilet that was kind of wobbly. He made sure there were no clogs and all the parts of the toilet were working properly and then re-set the toilet. We were really impressed with Jon and how he told us what he was going to be doing before he did it. There were no surprises in the visit. Thank you, Jon! read more

Hopefully, this doesn't obliterate my review from last February. Had a surprise Saturday evening when I took out the trash and noticed damp cement from water running out from under my single car garage door. Did a little sleuthing and found it was coming up from the clean-outs in my garage. Called Robins and Matthew came out earlier than estimated (thank you) and found that my outgoing sewer line had developed a "belly" over the last 45 years and that is where stuff was slowly building up over time. Matthew and Vincent came back out today to repair, cut the floor of my garage, dug down, replaced the outgoing line and clean-outs, cemented it back in with the brass covers for access. Looks great and a relief to know the issue is resolved. We love Robins!Affordable, great crew, efficient and speedy (got all of this done in one day). To start off, it was a holiday, and we discovered water leaking from our bathroom faucet underneath the cabinet in one of the bathrooms. Since we were expecting company in the following days, we decided to call a plumbing company to get the faucet fixed. If necessary, we were prepared to pay extra for someone to come out on a holiday. We have done that before and always check prices first. I called Robbins Plumbing to ask the cost for a plumber to come out and install a new faucet that we already had. They gave me a price, which I wrote down. When the plumber arrived, he said the person who answered the phone gave me the wrong information. He said this in front of both my wife and me. After he added some additional charges, the price was almost doubled. My wife was a little upset but said we needed to get this done, so she told him to go ahead with the job. To be fair, we could have said no and looked for another company, but we just wanted the job done. However, we will not hire this company again. read more

Robins Plumbing failed at customer service this week. I had Robins Plumbing install a new electric hot water heater at my home in March 2024. I paid $1864 + tax Three months later, June 12, I tried to remove the cover plates over the thermostats to make a temperature adjustment and found I could not remove one of the plates. One of the sheet metal screws holding a cover plate in place would not back out. The screw or the tapped hole in the sheet metal is faulty. I tried several non-destructive techniques with no success. Since this was essentially new, I did not want to do anything destructive to remedy the situation. I called Robins Plumbing and asked that they assist. Following a discussion with a manager, we agreed this was defective hardware. Robins was willing to come and take a look but would not agree that this was a no cost service call. Robins suggested I call the manufacturer and discuss the defective hardware. I called the manufacturer. They agreed it was defective and suggested some techniques for removing the plate, which I had already tried. They also suggested I could return the hot water heater which is not a practical solution. Following this, and before I made this post, I again called Robins Plumbing and asked to speak with the owner, Robin herself. A few days have passed with no return call. I am saddened that Robins Plumbing does not truly stand by their work. They choose the make and model of the water heater, provided the water heater, and did the installation. I paid them a lot of money for this service in March. They present themselves as a full-service company and should have come and fixed this problem gratis and then worked out any financial issues with the manufacturer of the faulty equipment. read more

I contacted Robins Plumbing on Saturday11/23/2024 mid morning to request service to repair the main water line to my home. The best they could was 3:00 PM. I told them that we are without water and my wife was baking for church and we needed water. We got a service window of 1:00-3:00PM which was a big help. The plumber, Matthew, arrived at 1:15 and had the leaked repaired in about 45 minutes. He was very friendly and professional. The repair was excellent. We have used Robins for years, and always have had an excellent experience with them. It is very easy to call and schedule a visit, they get someone out as quickly as we need them, and the staff are so friendly and helpful every time. Today Matthew and Vincent came out to fix our garbage disposal. They had great recommendations and we are all set with a new and improved disposal less than an hour later. Maybe this is something we could manage on our own, but it's always so convenient to call Robins and have their recommendations for the appliances and quick/easy install at a reasonable cost. We also had Jon take care of a water heater replacement and water softener system last month, and he did an amazing job and explained all of our options very thoroughly. He also stayed later than expected to make sure we would be able to have hot water back on the same day. We are so happy with those upgrades as well! read more

Beware of $85 diagnostic fee on top of $79 service fee if you don't go with their services. Total of $170 just to come look at your issue. They did not charge my dad a diagnostic fee but they are charging me one, even if they do the work. They were charging $650 for new parts on the toilet or $800 for a new toilet. I never leave reviews but am taking time out of my day to leave this amazing review so please proceed with caution when using Robins Plumbing. Robins Plumbing is unethical.. There are way too many options in the valley to go with a company that lies up front. I called in to schedule an appointment for fixing the p-trap behind my washer. The lady told me there is an $85 service charge that gets deducted from cost of the work. The technician and I briefly talked out what the issue may be and agreed it was probably an issue with the p-trap. Because it is behind drywall, he quoted me $250 to cut open the drywall to diagnose the problem which I agreed. Before he cut open the wall, he figured out that it was a simple fix of adjusting how the tube from the washer was fed into the p-trap. (Took him about 5 min to figure that out). No drywall needed to but cut open. He adjusted the tube and we were in business.. He proceeds to come back and says the total is $200 ($85 service fee, $115 diagnostic fee).... I reminded him that I was told the $85 comes off the top for the work so the total should be $115.. He said he didn't actually do work because he can't guarantee that will fix it.. (I never asked him to guarantee that fixed it).. He also mentioned that if it didn't fix it I would have to pay ANOTHER diagnostic fee... (AKA we didn't actually diagnose it on this trip.. But I am still paying a diagnosis fee??). I explained how that didnt make sense and he agreed so he called his manager.. By the end of the conversation with the technician he agreed that the quote makes no sense and it was above his head. He advised me to call. I call the office and speak with Clint.. He answered the phone with a sh**ty tone. He said "no work was done, but a diagnosis was made... so the fee makes sense.. but also if they have to come back out, they would still need to charge a diagnosis fee" BECAUSE NO DIAGNOSIS WAS DONE.. HE FIXED THE TUBE. Here is my feedback: 1. Clint should not be talking to people and has zero de-escalation skills 2. Clear up the line between what is considered "work" and "diagnosis" Just save the headache and use a different company. There are a ton with good reviews. read more

Proceed with caution when using Robins Plumbing. We had an issue with an incorrect diagnosis of a simple plumbing issue. The tech turned a valve in the wrong direction (we were there watching) and then quoted us $500 to fix the "issue". When he left, I googled which way to turn the valve and realized he had been turning it in the wrong direction. I got out my housewife's toolbox and... problem fixed. The manager was extremely rude when we called the office to ask for additional information that could explain the tech's faulty diagnosis. We requested a refund of a deposit we made for future work. They refunded the deposit but still charged $85 for the diagnosis, lol. Yes, the initial consult/checkup/diagnosis fee for faulty work and an incorrect diagnosis. At any rate, beware. read more
