The freshest, sweetest, butter, briny, heavenly oysters and calamari!

My husband and I have made it a tradition to spend our anniversary dinner at Robert's and man, it never disappoints!! We started with some insanely fresh, buttery, incredible oysters and the best calamari with their in house marinara. For meals I got the lobster mac and cheese & my husband got the grilled scallops, both were absolutely phenomenal. If you're looking for a lobster mac with a HUGE portion of lobster meat, look no further. And the drinks, don't even get me started on their decadent coconut margarita. I can't remember our sweet little waitresses name, but she was insanely kind, enthusiastic and super attentive! We sat upstairs and had a gorgeous view as the sun shone on Spruce Creek, such an elegant and cozy dining room. Cannot wait to visit again!

Excellent service and we both loved our sandwiches. I got the Crab & Avocado Melt and my wife for the Haddock Reuben.

Delish! Shrimp cocktail was amazing, huge fresh cold shrimp. Hubby had a steak and enjoyed, I had fish & chips, was good.... Coleslaw was amazing and I'm really picky with coleslaw.

Adrienne was a great server. My husband wasn't sure if he would like a particular beer on tap so she bought him a small sample as well as a taste of the mashed potatoes to see if they were to my husband's liking prior to placing his order. I ordered the grilled scallops served with corn, spinach, crispy potatoes, and a light bacon cream sauce. It was very good. My husband ordered the buttermilk chicken special served with mashed potatoes. The cutlet was thin and crisp. It was an enjoyable dinner. Give Robert's a try if you are in the area.

One of my favorite go to places! I can't help but get a lobster almost every time I go, I have been going out to eat here since I was a kid and I have always loved it. The food is not inexpensive by any means but is more affordable than many other places in the area, I always recommend to people visiting the area and I will be continuing to go to get my lobster/ lobster rolls :) (the Mac and cheese is also a big hit for me) most of the servers are very friendly and knowledgeable, while the ambiance is casual and warm. I try to have something new every time I go but I certainly have my group of favs!

I enjoyed a delightful birthday dinner here. The ambience is really lovely, especially given its location right off the highway and among a major outlet mall area. If you sit in the main dining room, you have a nice view of the pond our back. All of their food is sourced locally where possible, so it was really fresh and delicious. I appreciate that the menu is fairly simple, and I don't think you could go wrong. I enjoyed a few selections from the raw bar as well as the Seafood Newberg. Dessert was so delicious, I ordered one to go.

Really cool spot! It had a casual relaxing vibe located on the water. We ordered a chocolate martini and brewed unsweet tea with The hot Lobster Roll buttered & Cole slaw. I ordered the Chicken scampi. The grilled chicken was great but the pasta was just ok. Hubby said the lobster roll was great but the Cole slaw was not good at all.

Returned after a good experience and not so great. We worked hard to overcome the appalling service we received on arrival from the older lady at the front. She handled their mistake like it was ours...they had the wrong reservation time from Resy. And anyhow she should be trained in customer service. We were so close to walking out. After that the food was lovely. Risotto and lobster club. The rest of the service was good, especially the lady bringing out our food who was on her 1st night. Nice selection of beers. Several reviews say resting on laurels and I'd be worried if it was my business.

When in Kittery, Maine, you MUST go to Robert's Maine Grill! This is a restaurant that I absolutely have to hit every time I go to Maine. Every time. You seriously will not regret it! The seafood is SO fresh here and every dish is literally amazing. I love getting the lobster Mac & cheese, sometimes the lobster risotto for an entree and for apps, the clam chowder for sure & mussels. I've been coming here since I was a kid and they just don't disappoint. It's very cold here in the summer though, so definitely bring a jacket or sweater if you get cold easily like me.

The restaurant is very nicely decorated, think coastal vibe, elegant and not kitshy. We were promptly seated and given menus. At 5pm on a Sunday they were out of lobster!!!!! That was shocking! They had dishes that had lobster pieces, but you couldn't order whole or tails. The onion rings look better than they taste, they're just average. The Cesar Brussel sprouts were quite good, but took getting used to the combination of a lot of Cesar dressing...I would other them again. The lobster roll was full, but for a roll I thought quite pricey. The Mac and cheese is made with real cheese, which an 8 year old wouldn't approve off, but adults who are into cheese appreciate. I had the fish and chips. The fish was excellent! Oh, and the corn bread is solid.

Came here for lunch. The food was excellent. This salad was perfect. Crunchy, perfect dressing and the grill chicken was excellent. My husband ordered a hamburger, and he loved it. Beautiful setting, overlooking the ocean. Service was great too.

My husband has a severe shellfish allergy, and it was my birthday, so I placed my order online. It was super easy and fast. I ordered the lobster cobb salad for me and a hot pastrami sandwich for him. We figured that since the lobster is already cooked and in a salad, he should be fine. I was able to customize my salad a bit - taking out onion and going light on the croutons. I really liked being able to customize it. I went to pick up my order at the appointed time and suddenly the windows downstairs were being flung open and a hostess propped open the front door. Apparently something burned in the kitchen - I jokingly texted my husband it was his sandwich haha. It was a short wait in line and the hostess was very attentive. The bar was near the hostess stand and the atmosphere was very nice. She came back with a large paper bag with handles and I peeked inside, then headed home. I was not disappointed. The salad was HUGE! Of course, I ate the lobster first - generous portion of that and it was cooked perfectly. I ended up finishing off the salad the next day because it was so big. My husband said his sandwich was amazing and the fries were crisp and very tasty. I will definitely be ordering from them again!

Is there a way for people with limited mobility to access the second floor?

Unfortunately, there is no elevator in this restaurant. Near as I could tell when we last visited, the staircase was the only way up to the second floor.

    Are the tables sufficiently distanced?

No at least downstairs there not.

    Is it dog friendly?

No. It's indoor seating and kind of upscale

This quaint gastropub doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside, this seems like a place where locals are regulars and tourists are happy to get a table at this "no reservations" joint. It's dark inside (no photos) and a little cramped. The bartenders are serving double duty mixing and pouring drinks while also playing DJ and spinning vinyl records. And it felt like everyone inside was exactly where they wanted to be at the moment...enjoying each other's company and sharing drinks and food. The menu is about the size you would expect from a small kitchen - a fair number of appetizer dishes meant for sharing, and a handful of entrees, ranging from casual to a bit more refined. The grilled cheese and tomato soup ($19) was made with a hearty artisan bread that hit the spot on a chilly evening. Similarly, the coq au vin ($26) was classic comfort food, with perfectly cooked smashed fingerling potatoes surrounded by a rich, decadent reduction sauce smothering meaty mushrooms and soft pearl onions. Note, the coq au vin did take a long time to prepare, so not the dish to order if you're in a hurry. A couple of not-too-sweet lemon ricotta donuts (with chocolate sauce) was a great way to end the meal.

We chose seats at the comfortable-looking bar, which was a great spot to start the evening and soak in the warm, antique, historical vibe of the space -- lots of character without feeling stuffy. We also ordered the mussels, which were a standout -- especially the mustard component. I wouldn't have expected mustard to pair so well with mussels, but it absolutely worked and added a surprising depth of flavor. There was also a chicken dumpling special that was comforting, well-seasoned, and very satisfying. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. The service at the bar was fantastic. I don't mind spending $200 on dinner - but if I'm spending that much dinner should be stellar. This was just mediocre and I'm honestly surprised it has a 4.5 star rating average. It's a little confusing at first. The Bistro appeared to be the nicest, indoor option. It wasn't super busy around 7pm on a Monday. Her service was on point. My hubby and I decided to share all food, to try more. We started with the seasonal salad with the maple vinaigrette. I was hesitant at first but it was delicious. For appetizers, we ordered the Oysters Rockefeller and the traditional Mussels. They were both fantastic. I liked that the mussels sauce wasn't overly garlicky like a lot can be. Simplistic and salty. For our entree we shared the New York strip. I've never had a steak quite like this. Instead of heavily seasoning, like nearly every other steakhouse, it tasted like this steak was marinated. It was simplistically delicious. A little char, a little acidity, and a savoriness of rosemary. Gosh it was just so dang good! The broccolini was heavily peppered, not bad but just be aware. The potatoes au gratin were also unlike anything I've ever had. I don't even like French onion soup but it tasted like the most delicious French onion soup I'd ever had.
