Perfect setting, food, service, everything for our family reunion on July 4th. Lucky to sit outside on the waterfront under their large tent. My 101-year old mother remarked that their fried food is so good "because the oil is fresh". I had the Fisherman's Platter of haddock, scallops, fried clams, and french fries. I have never had better. Everyone was delighted with the quality of their dishes, a wide variety of seafood. Most highly recommend. We will be back! read more

Fabulous experience yesterday. We drove from Vermont because we were craving boiled Maine lobster. Are we glad we did!!! Frisbee's Wharf is gorgeous overlooking the water. So beautiful ... And speaking of beautiful, our server, Kate, met and exceeded that criteria on all counts!!! Our boiled lobster was perfect as was the corn on the cob. French fries came with the meal. Unfortunately, they were coated with some kind of batter that reduced the flavor of a dang good French fry. In the spirit of the day, however, and because I hadn't had a bite all day, I ate every one. Ha! The ambiance of this place was just perfect: relaxed, casual, and fun. The drive from 295 to the restaurant was very scenic- driving along the water and seeing all the boats. Park across the street. The restaurant is outside, under a tent. Not sure of the hours, or if it's seasonal. The service was very good. We started with the Calamari and jalapeños. For dinner my wife ordered the Lazy Man's Lobster cup. It was a little pricey but she didn't want to work. I ordered the "whole Lobstah" - which was actually less. Nice surprise. The food was very good. Also had a couple beers. Very nice experience. Frisbee Wharf at Pepperrell Cove is an incredibly gorgeous location. The waterfront dining out back under the tent, with crushed shells under your feet, just cannot be beat. We love the fact that there is an easy parking lot across the street (it's free), and they also take reservations. The whole meal couldn't have been easier. Our lovely server was friendly and attentive. We had 2 cocktails, 2 seafood chowders, a fried shrimp plate and a lobster roll with onion rings. It's not cheap, that's for sure. That meal was literally the highest bill my husband and I have ever had in 22 years of marriage, so we set a new record. But it was enjoyable and sitting by the water and enjoying the view was exactly what we were looking for. read more

I enjoyed my meal here on a sunny saturday afternoon. I was dining alone and chose to sit along the bar on the pier. Service was a tad sluggish as they were exceptionally busy but the servers were very friendly unlike the abrasive hostess. The seafood chowder was delightful, I would order it again. The clam strip sandwich was disappointing, the breading on the clams was heavy and unseasoned. The roll it came on was dense, oily, and in need of a fresh element. The fries were adequate. The house made tartar sauce was lovely and helped cut the misgivings of the clam strips. The view was excellent and certainly helped me enjoy my meal here more. I would recommend the "bar seating" on the pier, I only wish they had some hooks for me to hang my purse on. read more

We shared a fish chowder which I am not usually a fan of (clam chowder is my go to) but it was scrumptious. Even if it was 85 out. Just get two instead of splitting it. Ha! Why is this place always cold, even in the middle of summer? I've been twice and both times it has been cold. Food is good, if also a bit overpriced, but you're going for the chance to dine waterfront, and the view is beautiful of the harbor. Seating is outside, under a tent, with open sides. Service was good but not very fast. Come (with a sweater) when you have time to enjoy the view. read more

We live and eat in Maine. This was our first time at frisbee wharf. The view and ambiance was so pretty and exactly what you want in a summer vibe. We noticed several local bartenders and chefs there enjoying a drink. The bar was so cute. We were told it would be over an hour but was 20 minutes. Awesome! We were told the table was ready as we received our first drink. (Yes it took that long to get one) Not so awesome but that's ok. We had a great table on the edge. The waitresses, hostesses, and bartender are all super friendly and kind. We ordered fish and chips and scallop roll. Decent amount of fries for me and a bit less for husband. My husband picked up his roll which looked like it soaking wet. He confirmed it was. He went to try to take a bite regardless and he said it was so soggy it was disgusting. The scallops all fell out and fried bits fell off scallops. He said scallops were overcooked but ate them alone. He was really not pleased. I did inform our waitress and the scallop roll was taken off. She was very kind and apologetic. I thought my fish and chips were pretty good. Not too greasy and delicious tartar sauce. We did not stay for another round due to my husband still feeling hungry. We'd come back for the bar and the views. I'll have to heavily convince my husband to try the food again. We made a reservation for our anniversary, all my wife wanted was a lobster. The staff moved us inside because it was crowded outside and failed to mention there was a completely different menu inside and didn't offer lobster to us and could not accommodate us outside despite that being the location for our reservation. The seafood chowder was soupy and watery with very little seafood, all of which was indistinguishable from each other. The scallops were little rocks with loose breading. The fries were crisp, but flavorless. Five staff members were chatting with each other in the corner. The only service provided was the service that was requested by patrons - no staff was proactive in any way, and all went back to their conversation when finished with their minimal customer service. The setting is very nice, especially on one of the rare sunny spring days. It sounded like the customers on either side of me were disappointed as well. read more

They needed to set up everything for service but kind enough to seat us . We quickly decided to order up haddock sandwiches, kids Caesar salad and a kids haddock which is half a normal order . I kid you not, this was the best clam roll and onion rings combo ever had. The crispiness of it was on a level all its own. The bun was buttered and toasted and everything was perfectly salted. Once they're looking at menu I noticed huge price increases in everything. local DRAFT beer$11.00 wow, They have a pretty good menu but it's become a lot more pricey. Fried scallops $48.00 ouch. The staff is fantastic-Riley, the bartender that helped me to begin with, with her excellent recommendations, and also made me come back 2 days later with a friend. She loved it so much she's bringing everyone back for her birthday. Onto the food. The first time I went I got the Fisherman's platter, which definitely lasted 2 full days and 3 meals. It was HUGE! It had Haddock, tons of shrimp, scallops, and whole belly clams, fries and slaw. OMG. Second visit- we started with some cocktails- I had "The Sea Artist" delicious! My friend had "The Sail Maker" she said it was perfect. As for food....My friend started with some oysters, she said they were excellent. I had a Caesar salad. It was amazing! Homemade dressing was so good! We both got the Tuna Poké, the tuna was so good, served over rice, with Asian Slaw, seaweed salad, Sirachia aioli, and toasted peanuts. The view is to die for!! Hard to beat the setting at Frisbees wharf, with beautiful views at the mouth of the Piscataqua river. Part of Pepperel Cove, there are a number of dining options here, this being a very casual outdoor only setting. Service is good, cocktails are nice and the food is just about what you might expect. Fried clams, haddock, lobster rolls and chowder. Prices are a bit on the expensive side, but you will be hard pressed to find a nicer view. Plenty of free parking in a large lot across the street. This is a nice alternative to the decks in Portsmouth for a change of scenery. read more

This was our second visit. Last summer the service and food was excellent. This year, the service was excellent but the food was very disappointing. 2 of us got the haddock sandwich and 1 got the haddock fish and chips. Not really sure if even was haddock or if was frozen before serving?? We decided to split a slab of blueberry pie. We each took a bite and couldn't eat the rest. Again...very disappointed. It was trying to eat moist cardboard. Didn't even taste like blueberry. For the money, it was was just a total bummer. We won't be back anytime soon. read more

Delicious food in an amazing location! We arrived around 1:30pm on the Fourth of July. Grabbed a couple drinks while we waited for a table and in just a couple minutes two seats opened up on the wharf. You can order food at the bar (from a separate line so you are not ordered over/around folks sitting at the bar) and they delivered right to our seats on the wharf. I went there this past Saturday night on 9/27/2025. We had a reservation, but the service was pretty bad. The waitress was very nice so it wasn't partially her fault, but we sat waiting for drinks for a long time as well as to place our order. On top of that I ordered the scallop roll and got violent food poisoning after wards that lasted about 2 days and I am still not completely right. The view is beautiful, but the food is overpriced for the setting. We were a party of 7 and spent $400 that night for me to end up sick from below average food. read more

We came for lunch on a beautiful Saturday, and were seated immediately. We had an appetizer of seafood chowder, served within minutes of our ordering it. The chowder was delicious and hearty. My husband had the lobster roll, while I had the steamed lobster. Both were excellent. Ambience was nice on a warm, sunny day, and the staff were very nice. My daughter and I split a lobster roll with a side salad and we each had a cider. Service was good, and we did not wait long for our food. It was nice of the server to provide an extra plate.
