I am in the process of changing careers and going back to school. I wanted to find employment so that I could still feel like a contributing member of the workforce. I was specifically provided a person's name by my husband's boss who I quote stated he had the ability to place those that are difficult to place (i.e. Square peg into round hole). After several attempts to connect and was told that I should have been receiving job postings (my husband's boss even reached out to them again on my behalf and she personally uses this company for her department needs) I am no further along with their assistance. RHT makes it easier for anyone in the IT Field to look for contract work. Pros: - Does a lot of the foot work for both employers and potential employees in the hiring process. - Very professional and present you to future employers acting as a third party member to verify that you are able to do the contract work. - They will work with you and even assist you with your resume. Cons: - They can only present you with work that is offered to them. - Most contracts require you to have prior professional experience with another company. *Other thoughts* Michelle Barte was extremely helpful with my resume. Sadly I wasn't as marketable for RHT with the current available contracts. I would fall under the category of entry level for the IT field due to only having personal experience at the time. If you're looking for work and have prior professional experience, I would recommend RHT and Michelle Barte to anyone however, if you're resume can only provide personal experience still contact them anyways, they may have an available contract if your lucky. read more

I have to say, I started doing work with RHT when Brian Childers was the Director the office. Now I have been dealing with Molly Benjamin and she is always on top of everything. She is very pleasant to work with and keeps me informed daily of opportunities that arise. Just recently, on the last day of a position, she just got back from her wedding and (albeit it her being sick) landed me a phone interview that afternoon and within 20 minutes had a call back to start the next day. I have nothing but nice things to say about RHT. One recommendation is to update SkillPort though. I use it a lot (I have completed some 30 courses) and now I am seeing more and more courses need updating or have retired and not all of the newer technologies are posted. Again, if you are looking for a recruiter with a smile and pleasant demeanor, I recommend using Molly. read more

Accountemps is an absolutely amazing company. I came into meet with a representative from Robert Half and when we were finished meeting he said that there was someone on the Accountemps side that wanted to meet me as well. I met with Andrew, he was so nice and helpful. Within a week of meeting, Andrew gave me call informing me that an interview had been setup up for me. I went for the interview and Andrew gave me a call to see how everything went; which I thought was really great. The next day I received a call letting me know I got the position!! Andrew seemed genuinely happy for me. He has continued to follow up with me to make sure that everything is going smoothly with the position. It may be his job to do so, but I really feel as though he cares!! I have dealt with temp agencies in the past, but Accountemps is by far the absolute best!!! read more

I'm a part of Robert Half / Office Team's temporary staff. I needed special assistance with a specific matter and went to the customer service department who sent me over to the department that works with special issues. I explained my issue and was handed over to Tina Fox who was AMAZING!!! She checked with the proper channels (including legal) and got my issue resolved! I am truly appreciative if all the support she gave me during the process. Each department I explained the situation to did what they could to assist me (to the extent that they could). From Office Team's account reps, to the customer service people, to the compliant line person (even though I didn't have a complaint I still talked to her and gave her all of the information). Then Tina - and her colleague Jimmy who called to follow up with me while Tina was out of the office. I truly appreciate the professionalism with which this matter was handled. Tina was personable and kind. I'm very glad I work for a place that cares about their employees. No matter how big a company gets, they should always treat their employees (temporary or permanent) with respect and dignity. It's important to remember people make businesses thrive. After doing some research, I've found that Tanya is no longer there and I have yet to hear back from josh after another email I sent less than a week ago. Pre-OfficeTeam, I was working a horrible job where I was yelled and cursed at a lot. I would get home drained and completely unable to rally enough energy to job search. They say looking for a job is a full-time job, but man, I had a full-time job, and I didn't have it in me to take on another one. A friend suggested I call OfficeTeam. She knew that they placed a lot of people at her place of employment, Wells Fargo, and secretly hoped I'd get placed as her coworker. I called them up after work one day, and Lance called me back the next morning. I'm pretty sure I started crying a little when he asked about my current job situation, but he either pretended not to notice, or really couldn't tell over the phone: a true professional. I was able to meet up with him on my lunch break for the initial interview and left everything in his capable hands. It worked. I believe it was the following week that he set me up with an interview for a temp-to-hire position. That afternoon, they offered me the job. For some unknown reason, perhaps because I have guilt and / or I'm paranoid about burning bridges, I gave my terrible, horrible, no-good job one week's notice and then began my assignment with OfficeTeam. I cannot lie: it was a really great company, but the job itself was on the underwhelming side for sure. Either way, it was a relief! I started sleeping at night again, and I no longer had mild panic attacks when I saw my boss coming in the door. I met some really good people, many of whom I have kept in touch with. After a few months, I decided to move back to Seattle anyway. Lance helped me with the transition; since they are a national agency, he was able to transfer all of my information and give me a great reference, so I could start to work as soon as I was settled. He even took me out to lunch before I left. Hello, all-you-can-eat Indian food buffet! I would give Lance himself 5+ stars. He went above and beyond what I expected, however the overall OfficeTeam experience was more like 4 stars. The San Diego assignment was not super dynamic (read: boring) and paid a couple bucks less / hour than what I had asked for: a small price to pay for peace of mind, but no small chunk of change when you're living in southern California. The job would probably have been better suited for a fresh-out-of-college kid (although it certainly doesn't take a degree to run a copy machine). Overall, they helped me out of a serious bind and for that, I will be forever grateful. read more

I give it a two star for their ability to find a temp job for fresh high school or college grads with minimal work experience. They can find you something to start with where you can work your way up. However, if you have 3-4+ years experience, STAY AWAY. They will place you in the exact same setting as those with little or no experience and guess what how much you'll be getting paid? The SAME exact pay as those coming straight out of working at a fast food joint. They care more about pleasing their corporate clients rather than their staff clients....and take too much of the cut that the corporate clients pay out for YOUR hard work. So if you want to stick with ROB HALF your paycheck, or OFFICE TEEN just be cautious. You may be loosing valuable time and money in the process. Kudos to those who gave OT 5 stars but I believe you deserve much more. read more

I can only describe my experience with this office as very disappointing, especially with Josh Henry, their Division Director of Recruiting. After being passed on to him when another recruiter left the company (and never actually speaking with him) I was mistakenly forwarded correspondence where he had commented to another office that I was mentally ill. Mind you, I had already completed over 2,500 hours with a client that is very happy with my work and with whom I still have a very good working relationship. I can only describe this office as very unprofessional, very inappropriate. How could they have this BOZO as their Director of Recruiting? It really makes me rethink the upper management of the company. If he's the director of recruiting and committing these types of egregious, illegal workplace infractions, I can only imagine the activities that are permitted for those who work below him. Be forewarned. Avoid this company, especially Josh Henry, at all cost. You're better off going with Aquent who has always shown me the utmost professionalism when placing me in a variety of positions. read more

Office Team is awesome! I'd just moved to La Jolla and didn't know a soul or my way around. I interviewed with Linda and immediately felt like I'd known her forever. I was completely open about what I was looking for and the minimum salary I would take. So not only did she and Lance work hard to find me something, they got me a permanent position with a higher salary and a better work environment than I'd hoped for! YAY! Both were so incredibly kind and really made me feel welcomed in the neighborhood. It took Office Team a couple weeks to get back to me after the initial application was submitted, but other than that everything else was an amazing experience with them. I was contacted for an initial phone interview and a very short Skype Interview as well. After being accepted, I had to go into the office to fill out some paperwork. As soon as the paperwork was complete and my references had been checked out, they were able to start working on finding me a job as soon as possible. I interviewed for two positions in person, but didn't get either of then. The other position which I had a phone interview for wanted to hire me for a 3 month temp job so I ended up taking that opportunity. One month in, the company extended me a full time position! Robert Half was exceptionally helpful in getting everything straightened out in order to end the contract early so I could get started with my full time position. Overall, it was an amazing experience. If you need to find some kind of work asap, definitely contact them. read more

I had a great experience with Office Team after being referred by a family friend who also found satisfying employment through them. Lance and Linda were excellently communicative, they were excited to get me working and although my pay requirements were somewhat demanding they did eventually find me an excellent 3 month assignment with a very reputable company that resulted in long term employment for me. I did learn that the best way to get the job is to be FLEXIBLE, cannot stress this enough. Answer your phone, be willing to commute, and open yourself up to short term opportunies while looking for that long term fit. That is the attitude to help you land your goal. Recruiters can be difficult to get a hold of by phone, email was more effective, but when it came to talking to me every week about how my assignment was going they were on it! Unlike so many others, I'd say my experience with RHT has been less than satisfactory. I understand that they can only present positions that they have-however, during the "pre-screening" I had, they indicated they had several positions. They sent me ONE listing, and I wasn't a fit for it (the specific experience the employer wanted was to advanced for what I knew). I found a couple other postings on their own search board, forwarded the postings to the recruiter, and only had one response-the client wasn't interested. Right now, my impression is that RHT is acting like a giant resume database and the recruiters are just "grinding" applications in a semi-shotgun approach. I have to constantly email them to get any sort of response-I'm not happy. A true recruiter would be, at least in my opinion, updating me regularly. It's frustrating looking for a new job, and any encouragement-even something as simple as "we haven't heard back from the client" helps ease the stress. read more

I saw a job posting that i liked on their website so i applied. a couple of weeks has gone by and i have not heard anything so i decided to give them a call. The receptionist transferred me to an individual by the name of Andy Sunter who seemed very enthusiastic, spoke in great detail about the job posting. He requested that i send him an email directly as the system can sometimes "lose" resumes. I sent my resume and cover letter directly to him, he replied with a receipt confirmation and a time for me to come in and meet him. The meeting went well. He called back a few minutes after i left his office and reassured me that i would be the perfect fit with his client and that he will get my resume over to the hiring manager and schedule an interview asap. a week went by and i never heard anything. i followed up with an email as well as a couple of calls, still no response. Finally i was able to get ahold of Andy, but to my surprise he acted like he had no idea who i was. i re sent my resume while on the phone and mentioned a few key points we discussed during our meeting a week before and his response was yeah that doesn't ring a bell. He then hung up. I have always stayed away from staffing agencies for reasons such as these, do yourself a favor and apply directly to the firm you're interested in working with, not through a 3rd party recruiter. read more

Last year I was referred to Office Team by a friend of mine who had a great experience with them. After the initial application process which was easy and comfortable, I was given an assignment in 2 weeks for a position with a mortgage company. While working at this location there was great follow through by Linda from the La Jolla branch and I had an overall positive experience there for almost 2 months. After that I was given an assignment about two weeks later which was supposed to last several months but lasted two weeks instead. Following that things went downhill. I was offered positions but never would be given the assignment. If I missed the call by more than 5 minutes I found the few assignments offered to be taken already. Then weeks would pass without hearing anything. All in all, I think this company is a good choice for anyone. Certainly I had a positive experience with them initially. I simply have not heard from many people that they were ever offered permanent employment, which kind of sucks for the referrals looking for a real job and not just a gig. My big tip to anyone looking to be placed by Office Team, just be ready at a moment's notice to drop your plans for the day and take a job, ALWAYS have your phone by your side, and be down for commuting. read more

This is the worst Robert half I've ever dealt with and I had great experiences in Seattle and in Reno Nv. Every single staffing firm I have used including Robert half in other states call me frequently for jobs, and answer their emails and calls when I check in. I signed up with the downtown office when I moved here and they told me the La Jolla office is in my district but I could have a 2 day assignment the next week for now and they would forward my resume to the La Jolla office. Well I never heard back for that temp assignment, yesterday recruiter never answered my emails, I applied to a bunch of jobs on their site and emailed the recruiter again to let her know but still never heard. Now it's 4 months later and I decided to drive to the La Jolla office to meet them and see if they had anything. First google was wrong about their address so I had to pay $3 to park at the wrong place then I drive to the address on robert half website which I also have to pay for. I walked in to be told they don't do walk ins and won't validate my parking because I didn't have an appointment. They need to put that on their website because I've never heard of a staffing firm that doesn't welcome you to walk in. Even the other Robert Half's like I said in other places I lived always said if I was in the area it's good to check in. I'm unemployed and wasting my gas money and parking money on this firm that won't talk to me. And I'm a college graduate with lots of temping and professional experience, it's not like I'm a hobo looking for a job. read more

Molly was amazing while I was looking for temporary work. Nobody in this world can guarantee you anything, but Molly did her absolute best to help me find suitable positions. When some didn't sound right for me she was okay with it and contacted me when something else fit my profile. If your world is in IT and you're looking for contract or permanent work I would try Robert Half above all similar companies.
