I have contacted this Agency SEVERAL times (Chris) sending my resume, via phone calls and emails and I receive NO follow-up! I only receive "I will call you later today" responses. This was before the COVID-19 Pandemic, and now I'm sure I will be brushed off through this crisis as well. My skills and experience as an Office Manager, Executive Administrative Assistant confirms I am deserving of a call-back with the honesty to tell me "we're simply not interested." I refer many people to Staffing Agencies looking for employment. This one I will NOT. The unprofessionalism and pure "lack of" is obvious the culture of this firm and a reflection of its management. This company is terrible. I was given a verbal offer and then told I had to complete all necessary paperwork while I was on vacation. I did so despite this being incredibly annoying in order to not lose the offer given to me. During my vacation the recruiter I had been working with, Kelly, was let go and a woman named Morgan was the new recruiter assigned to me. Morgan was very cold and vague with me. I had already completed the TB, drug screen, and livescan immediately upon my return from my vacation to then be told just two days later that the company decided to go in a different direction. When I asked why, Morgan said she couldn't say much more other than "we see companies do so from time to time and are unsure why". What a joke! As a recruiter, a business should always be able to provide a reason why a candidate was not a fit, especially when rescinding and offer. I strongly advise against this company if you are looking for employment opportunities as they clearly have a high turnover rate and lack adequate staffing skills. read more

She offered me a position that was far from me and when I didn't accept it she said they could not help me because I had decline 2 opportunities first of all both times she let me know last minute that I had the job and they weren't even jobs that I went to school for. Yes, the thought keeps running through my head..."You're seriously going to review a temp agency?" but I've seen weirder things reviewed on Yelp and I might as well join the club. I went to this agency right after moving to San Diego in January. The first one I went to was Appleone in Chula Vista (I'm not sure the word "ghetto" would even do it justice. Do not go here!) and I had a bad experience (i.e. my manager was an idiot and they didn't find me a job, yet they kept trying to recruit me to work in their office and got mad when I said I wasn't interested!). I wasn't sure what to expect, but heck, I needed to buy food (clothes) and pay rent (more clothes and liquor). First off, the office is in La Jolla, and it is very sleek. Yeah, it is just a temp agency, but they made me feel very important and were very encouraging. Also, my first manager, Grace, was so sweet, and she wouldn't let me settle for a call center job, but wanted to find me something that I would like! She knew when I wasn't feeling an assignment and wouldn't make me feel guilty for being picky. Long story short, within a week they had offered me about five different positions, one which I eventually accepted at a school, and I was just recently hired permanently. They really work with great companies and they have a good reputation. If you are looking for a great long-term or short-term position, go and see Grace or Dan! My only problem was a glitch with my paycheck when I moved (but hey, when does that not happen?) and they didn't offer very good health insurance (again, what temp agency does?) but I was over-all happy with my experience. read more

I registered with maybe 5-6 temp agencies when I moved to San Diego. Only three called me back and only two invited me in for an interview. Ultimate Staffing lets you do the Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Typing, Outlook, etc tests at home before you even get to the office, so they know your results. The office is really nice and they were very professional. Grace, the woman I talked to, was professional but I could tell she wanted to help me. This sounds cheesy, but she made me feel important - sometimes at temp agencies you just feel like another idiot secretary who can't get a job. :) Within a day or two she had an interview for me for a long-term temp assignment. I interviewed and got the job. While they didn't find any other shorter temp jobs for me until the longer one started, it was still nice they got me anything. read more

I moved to San Diego in August of this year and I registered with all the major agencies here including Ultimate. I was greeted warmly by Christina and felt an honest connection with her and an honest intent on finding me the perfect job. I had high hopes. Then Liz joined the firm and I felt the same connection with her. I feel that I can trust them with the challenges of finding a job, ANY job, here in this economy with 159,000 San Diegans unemployed. And when I am in the position again to use an agency as a Hiring Manager, as I once was, they will be the first agency I will call to find good people. The Temp Agency market is driven by the Economy. And right now, it's a buyer's market. Candidates today are competing with at least 5 other people per job opening and companies have the option to be very selective with who they hire, how long it takes them to do so and how long, sometimes, it takes for them to get back to the Agency to let them know the status of open requisitions. And thus, sometimes the Recruiters won't call you back unless they have information to give. That can be frustrating as some have said. I know how it feels. For Christina and Liz, it's also challenging trying to place good people in good jobs but I know from meeting with them and being in touch as often as I am with them, that they are marketing me everywhere they can, as I am myself, in hopes of getting that permanent job. And so I am VERY grateful for their efforts, their intent and their kindness in what has been a very frustrating and sometimes lonely road to becoming permanently employed again. I was an ambassador (temp worker) with Ultimate for about three months. I had a middle of the road experience working for this company. They were able to get me into temp jobs, from office work to event work. I always made good money and was grateful to have the work in a time when I as not fully employed. Jobs never gave much notice, however. Sometimes I got calls to come in the next day. Again, I was happy to have extra money but I wondered why I sometimes got jobs at the last minute, even for events that are obviously planned in advance. I also was cancelled off of jobs with no notice. It is not uncommon to be told you will work the next five days, and then get called after one or two days to be taken off the job. It wasn't my performance, it was often over-hiring in which many people were taken off the job with no notice. I know it was hard for many people who were relying on occasional temp jobs to get by. I started a temp job that I grew into, and the office wanted to hire me on full time. The temp agency encouraged them to wait to hire me. It made me feel like my job security was being sacrificed for the extra money they were making to keep me as a temp worker. After I was hired on full time, I never heard from Ultimate Staffing again. They did not send me a congratulations for being hired, or even a thank you for working with their company for many months. I appreciate Ultimate because I truly would not have gotten my job without their assistance. The overall experience of working there, however, felt haphazard and at some moments inconsiderate of my needs. Overall, if you're looking for work, they are a good option. Just make sure they aren't your only option. read more

Okay, so this was the first temp-agency that I've ever worked for, and with any luck, it will be the only one. Anyhow, like the two other reviews stated, Grace is pretty cool and will work with you to find what you want - I got lucky and found what I wanted right away (even though it didn't end up working out for me in the end - who knew working for a call center would be the most god-awful thing I've ever done in my life?). Regardless, when I quit that job to move onto my current permanent job I got at least five calls from them asking why it didn't work out and what they could have done to make my experience better - it was an awkward but good conversation. The main problem with Ultimate Staffing is their payroll department. When I moved, they skipped a check of mine or it never got to me. I insisted to Grace that I never got it, and she insisted that I had and that it was cashed. Anyhow, two months later it came in the mail (I resisted the urge to email her and say "told you so!!"). And again, more than a year after I stopped working for US, I got an email saying that they have a check for me there - but wait - the check expires after 180 days so they'll have to re-issue me a new one. Well, it's been over a week and I haven't received that one either. Oh well. read more

You apply, do the tests, get interviewed, and maybe you'll hear from them a few weeks or maybe even months later ... after you call them weekly reminding them that you exist with no returned calls. That has NOT been my experience so far with Ultimate. Liz in particular has been great about keeping in touch with me, demonstrating a concerted and sincere effort to find the kind of work I'm really looking for, and in the meantime placing me in decent assignments even though I JUST joined not too long ago. I feel like I have at least one ally on my side at Ultimate, more than I feel at other agencies who will go unnamed. If you're looking for friendly, thoughtful professionals who really want to help you (I can only speak for Liz, though), I find Ultimate to be at good option. read more

I was emailed some assessments to do at home. She said I would hear from her and a week passed and I didn't. I tried contacting her and emailed her and never got a response. She was so helpful and friendly and had me registered and ready to within the agency. The next day she offered me a temporary assignment at an engineering firm. When I got hired as temp for the position and didn't have time to come in and complete the new hire paperwork, Casey even offered to meet me at my job and drove over and bough me lunch while I completed the new hire documents. I cannot stress enough how professional, efficient and effective Ultimate Staffing is. They truly are THE Ultimate. Met with another rep in December 2016 as I was interested in other opportunities...after telling me how excited she was to "market" me, requested an updated resume within 2 days because there were many opportunities coming up that would be a great fit, never heard from her again. I reached out weekly, then monthly...I've pretty much given up on the rep actually following through. Keep your expectations low. read more

If I could give this place any lower stars I would! The first time I got called by Grace she was interested in my resume. She had even given me information about where I would be working, how much, and what hours. She said to fill out the online application and get back to her. So I do so and her whole demeanor had changed! She was no longer interested in my resume! Even her voice had changed from the nice kind voice she had had from our first phone conversation! She said I had to have recent work experience. How are you supposed to have recent work experience when no one will give you a foot in the door? I have filled out COUNTLESS applications and NOTHING! This company is an utter waste of time. I enrolled with them in January of 2012 with their rep, this fat guy named Torrey. He said he was impressed with my background and was submitting me for two different jobs. Neither of those jobs panned out and I know that's not his fault. What IS his fault is he NEVER returns phone calls. From January to May, I checked in with him consistantly and he never got me anything, not even an interview. He was always "in an interview" when I called so I'd have to leave him a voice mail. In four months, he only returned my call one time. But it gets worse.... I called in the 1st week of May 2012 to see if they have anything and Torrey happened to be on vacation. I got to talk to Liz, a manager there, and she told me the reason they couldn't place me is because I had never filled out their online application. Zuhhhh?!?!? This was the first I'd ever heard of that. When she told me in order to be placed I had to fill out their application, I filled it out the same day. When I told her Torrey had never mentioned that, she said she didn't believe me!! What the F'ing F?!?! Why would I check in CONSISTENTLY for four months if I had known they couldn't do anything until I filled out their application? That makes no sense AT ALL! She she ignored common sense, basically called me a liar, and sided with the incompetent fat boy. We got into it a little bit about that because I couldn't believe she was calling me a liar. This thing is a MANAGER?!?!? But I held my tongue, I fill out the online application, and Liz is supposed to send me copies to sign because they aren't valid without a signature. They can't check references without my signature. I waited a WEEK AND A HALF and nothing from them. I called today to ask if they've sent the docs they need me to sign. The bitch Liz tells me, "I'm difficult" and they won't be able to place me. What a frigging waste of time. Take it from me....Ultimate Staffing is ultimate BS. Not a place you could rely on with finding a job. I stumbled upon a listing of job hosted by ultimate on indeed.com. I was interested in the position so I applied then later found out that ultimate is a staffing company. I had pretty negative experience with staffing companies but still have hoped ultimate to be different. But it wasn't. Like all other staffing companies the agent contacted me regarding the position I've applied pretty quickly. She went over the details of the position with me and had me go in for an initial interview with them. Everything was great at this moment. She has really got my hopes up for getting the job because my experience and skills align with the job description well. I had my interview on weds and was told to follow up on Fri and so I did. Then this happened. She told me that the company is in the process of interviewing 2 candidates and they are not moving forward with reviewing other candidates until after the interviews. I was disappointed because she got me thinking that I had a great chance with this opportunity but now I might not even to be presented to them at all. As you might have guessed already. I got the news on following Monday that the company has gone with one of the candidates. :( I wouldn't blame on the agent who worked on the case. I don't think she would've have known about it but it was very disappointing that i didn't even get a chance to interview with the company. Why wouldn't they contact me if they've already had couple of candidates? Keep in mind staffing companies like this are client oriented. They do whatever to cater to their clients, which are the companies who hire them to look for potential employees. They don't really give 2 shits about their candidates. I think they might also take a portion of your future paycheck too. We are better off looking for jobs by ourselves. Don't give up! read more

Being recently unemployed I had gone to several top employment agencies in San Diego to get registered with them figuring my chances were better the more agencies I signed up with right....? Wrong! Only one has come through with flying colors and that's Ultimate Staffing agency, with Liz and Torey at the helm. Not only did they present me with several opportunities to interview with top notch companies they gave me the insight into each one, right now I am even working a temporary job they presented to me while we continue to look for the fit right. I was placed within a week at a wonderful company in my neighborhood and area-of-interest to cover for someone while they were on maternity leave. While I worked for Ultimate, Debbie really looked out for me, answering any payroll questions I had and calling me promptly when they didn't receive my timecard.
