I disagree with Lisa. Laura found me a great position with a great company, and I found her extremely personal and genuine in comparison to the other staffing agencies I am working with. Their company is small but I found that comforting since Laura spoke to me like a person, not a number. In today's economy, everyone is hunting for jobs like crazy. It's unfortunate that Lisa had a bad experience, but I had a good one, so don't dismiss OSR so quickly. I worked with Betty while I was in town for a few weeks over Christmas. She was able to quickly place me in a temp receptionist job that suited me perfectly. The email correspondence was great, Betty was very quick to respond to any questions I had. She gave me all the tips I needed to be prepared for the first day. Betty runs an independent staffing agency and is personable but has less opportunities than more competitive agencies. You receive the similar rush to interview and present for a position then may never hear from her again. Betty is compulsive and incessantly texts and e-mails you. An e-mail, then a few minutes later a phone call then a text. She's obsessive and employers would tire quickly if treated the same. You'll be presented for mid tier to low tier companies with poor reputations and turnover so high they're forced into using a staffing agencies. This is a mid tier to low tier staffing agency with few available positions and you'll be better served by using other agencies or searching on your own. read more

I have worked with Betty at the beginning of this year, and it has been such a wonderful experience. Her ability to efficiently find suitable positions in my area of expertise is nothing short of amazing. She is excellent in communicating and will always provide assignments that are within your preferences. Betty and Office Staffing Resources have been fantastic! Betty was able to get me placed in a short period of time. I worked for a great company for a temporary project for about 5 months. When that assignment ended, Betty had me placed with another company within days. I was hired on full-time by that 2nd company and I have here for almost a year. This company did have a small layoff due to a major lull in the industry; but I luckily survived that layoff. My Experience working with Betty has not been good at all. I have been working for her for the past year and she is unprofessional she makes a big deal if I was late 15 minutes and you did not contact her I would always contact my supervisor. Last week I was out sick and included it in my time sheet my supervisor knew I was going to be out. Betty called me saying she was not going to pay me my sick day because she did not get a call from me. I told her what about the other times I have been sick and emailed you my time sheets including my sick day. Betty told me she has never paid me sick days because I have never gave her a call in the hole year are you serious. She would email everyone in my company when I would miss a call from her. She had questions every week like " Why did you only work 6 hours Monday"? I got sick one day and had a doctors note with restrictions on to stay home for 3 days. She called me and said so ''You missed today what are your plans for tomorrow"? I said I was going in to work because I was scared to get fired." She responded great they will se you they're. " She will remind you a thousand times that you only work for her not for the Company! The company where I work gave me a raise I think she did not like that. My boss gave Betty a call saying I don't want my employee getting questions asked can you please just approve what ever is on her time sheet as long as it is signed that means it Is approved. My boss approved my phone stipend, Millage, Overtime. Betty approved, and 15 minutes later she messaged me to offer me another position. She did not want to see me getting extra money. This is my first time working with an agency and had a bad experience. I am happy that at least I gained experience where I am at now and the company loved me to bad the company got bought. I have seen co-workers working with other agency's and never had a problem. read more

Betty was super helpful and nice at first. I had never worked for a staffing agency before and for a while there thought this was the way to go. I was hired onto a great company as temp to hire and everything was going smoothy until I started asking when I was able to get hired on as a regular employee. I was never told what exactly my contract said and how long the waiting period was before I was able to make this transition. When I asked her for details she made general statements and told me it was up to the company. When I asked my supervisor she stated that there was a contract that required them to either wait the period stated in the contract or pay a few thousand dollars to break it and hire me on like a regular employee and it was just not beneficial for the company to do that so we needed to wait. She had to keep bugging to find out exactly how long that was. The company I was working for ended up getting bought by another company. Again, after some time I started inquiring again. Betty seemed agitated and never wanted to straight out answer my questions or inquire with the company herself in regards to anything on my behalf. After a heated argument, Betty finally told me that my status had changed from temp to hire to long term temp but never let me know. I have been working for this company since early june and it is now December and I cannot get any answers out of anyone. I feel taken advantage of because Betty makes 40% on my wages and does not care about anything other than when it is beneficial to her. I was working hard to get hired on and eventually get benefits and holiday pay etc and it is never going to happen under her employement. I have asked a million questions and never received any answers except from my supervisor here at the company I'm working for, I have been screamed at by Betty on a few occasions, and she only responds to emails when it affects her getting paid. This is a good agency for short term crap jobs to bridge you from one hard spot to a real job (as in temp work till you find something on your own). Also, the company I work for has stopped using her services and have gone with another agency because she is so unprofessional. In one instance she needed a time card sent, again all about her getting paid, I told her it needed a signiture and my supervisor was in a meeting but it should be about another 5 to 10 mins. She no joke, called the receptionist to the point where the poor girl told me she was being driven nuts and that Betty was telling her why she was calling and asking personal questions (how is this any of the receptionists business?) She called HR, she called my supervisor, she called my extention, she called the receptionist a few more times, she sent emails to Hr, sent emails to my supervisor, sent me an email to my work address, sent me an email to my personal address, sent me text messages and called and left messages on my personal phone,and also left multiple messages on everyone elses VM all within 10 mins. When I finially picked up at my extention (please keep in mind I had answered her 5 mins earlier saying I was going to be sending it in about 10 mins) she started bagering me with questions. I told her I just hit send and she should have gotten it as quickly as the magic of the internet could get it to her. She then started yelling at me and asked if it was possible to get it to her after my shift on Friday. I told her that was not a problem and I apologized, I had a doctors appointment that morning. She continued with really disrespectful comments such as "what's the problem here? Why cant you get this done? What's wrong with you?" So I hung up on her. She then sent me another email asking me to call her back because I stopped answering her calls. HR and my supervisor had to respond to her to get her to leave me alone. I should also mention that I never received any instruction on when she needed it, how to fill it out, etc. The company I was working for used to send it for me but since the company switched owners they implimented a system that no longer tracked my hours electronically so I had to send her a timecard manually. Before this my supervisor had asked HR to not allow Betty to contact her because she was being driven nuts constantly asking (like daily) how things are going when people are first hired on. She seems sweet and helpful at first but after that the only thing that matters to her is getting money for the work you are doing. My HR departement has started asking her how to get me hired, if they can send the contract, etc... no response. My boyfriend calls her my pimp and I now have her saved in my phone under that name. All she does is keep me in the dark, make money off of my hard work, and yell at me when she doesn't get her money. Sounds about right to me. Don't sign up with them! I was completely screwed over by Laura and her company. When I first set up the interview with her she said she wanted me to come in for a specific position, but then she just took my info and I didn't hear from her for months. Then she calls me out of the blue, tells me she has a full time temp-to-hire position that I need to start right away. She put pressure on me telling me that there were other candidates and I could lose out on the position. I was working in a temp position and I ended up quiting, ending my relationship with my current staffing agency to have her turn around after the fact and tell me the position was canceled. I'm left with nothing. She obviously screwed up somewhere and she blamed the situation on the economy. Do not trust her, she is only in business for herself, not to help others.
