Extremely poor communications! QualStaff sent me to a facility to complete a drug test (40-mile round trip) only to find out that I did not have the correct information or any record of my appointment. When I addressed this issue to QualStaff Resources, they instantly provided me with the correct information and advised me to walk in to get this completed as soon as possible. I do not understand why QuaStaff could not effectively communicate, nor provide any type of apology -- instead of just suggesting getting it done ASAP! As a result, I will not and do not recommend utilizing QualStaff resources. read more

Worst Staffing agency ever, a Staffing agency is supposed to be the mediator between you and your employer. My recruiter and her co-workers within the agency made me look like an idiot and definitely were not there for me at all. I was constantly applying on indeed and zip recruiter and had no luck. I submitted an application with qual staff on Thursday and set up a meeting with my recruiter LACEY on Friday. If you've never worked for a temp agency, basically here's the process: -submit your resume -temp agency calls you, asks waht your looking for -you get scheduled an appointment for a pre-interview interview (basically the agency interviews you to get a feel of your qualifications and professionalism before they send you out to actual interviews) -temp agency calls you when they get a job that may fit your needs -you decide if you want to interview for that job or not -if you say "yes! i like the sound of that!", they give you a run down of the job specifications, ask you some questions the potential employer will ask you. -Do your own research on the company they're about to send you to -show up for your interview, do your best, cross your toes and fingers and pray you get hired Everyone will have a different experience based on what type of jobs you're looking for and how well you do at the interviews they send you to. I was really disappointed with this staffing agency. I was given contact information for a recruiter by the name of Charles Davis from a friend who had recently gotten a job through qualstaff. It took me a few attempts to contact him before he finally responded to my emails. When I met with him he seemed beyond unenthusiastic and barely offered me any advice or help in my job search. I was just trying to get my foot in the door and find something entry level and told him that I was open to full time, part time or even temp positions. Charles basically made me feel like I was not worth his time and that I had no marketable skills (despite 8 years of customer service and sales experience and a bachelors degree). He said multiple times that I should "feel free to look into other recruiting companies in the area" which struck me as rude and unprofessional. He finally pulled two jobs for me and told me he would get back to me about them. Charles never contacted me after that. A week later when I tried to follow up with him via email, he simply responded that the positions he had pulled had been filled and to check back with him weekly for other options. Every attempt to "check back" with him after that was a dead end as he never responded to me again. I contacted qualstaff stating that I was unhappy with my experience and asking for a different recruiter and once again I received no response. I now have a great job which I found without the help of this recruiter or staffing company. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for job placement in the San Diego area. Very, very disappointing and unprofessional. read more

Within hours of submitting my resume, I had received a call-back from Amber at Qualstaff, and I had an interview with her for a potential job match the following day. Now, THAT is service. Amber is AWESOME. She's outgoing and friendly, and she put me immediately at ease. It's not easy advertising yourself, and I felt like we were old friends after having just met her. She followed through with everything she said she would do, and has kept in touch throughout the process, just to be sure I'm doing okay. She tweaked and re-formatted my resume and quoted me some insider information into the history of the company for which I'm applying. I really feel cared-for. This is a terrible job market, and it's very easy to feel overwhelmed and hopeless. Amber and Qualstaff have been extremely understanding, and I now have a second-interview with a GREAT opportunity. I'm not sure if this is QualStaff's new address, but I know they switched locations this year. I was working for them mid-relocation. Anyhow, I was staffed by this company during my short-lived time in SD, and I must say that QualStaff is on top of their stuff. I was assisted by Debbie who I think is in charge of interviewing new applicants and job placements and she was ready to take me in and put me through all the necessary procedures before getting me work. This took less than a week. And based on my skillset, she managed to place me right away. And I mean that I had a job in less than 4 days. Debbie walked me through everything, checked in with me, and she was very considerate to my situation. I was helped by another lady, but everyone in that office was pretty nice so I don't think you should have a hard time with them unless you have some shortcomings. Lastly, I was always paid on time, and the great thing about QualStaff is that they don't make you register for their website- there's no BS. They take care of you ASAP and whether or not they can place you is up to you. read more

@ Brent: I still haven't received a message or a call from you or Mona. Looks like you care more about positive reviews than about people who make profit for your company. All those promises that QualStaff would find me another position quickly (because "job market looks great" according to Mona), are just empty words. Mona placed me in a company as temp to hire with a possibility of going permanent after 6 months. 3 months into the job, my manager told me at a staff meeting, and subsequent staff meetings, I would be hired after 6 months. Two days before 6 months were up, manager called me into her office to tell me my last day would be the next day (Friday). I was surprised and horrified! She said they were going to inform me of the decision on Friday at the end of the day, but because I was a good and hard worker, she decided to let me know a day early and offered to by me a pizza for lunch on my last day. I asked if she could write me a recommendation letter, she said she could not do that for I was a QualStaff employee. I called Mona to let her know what happened. Mona said that she just found out too and was sorry. Then Mona told me she'd help me find another job and to apply for unemployment insurance, stressing that QualStaff was not my employer but a payroll agency, which struck me as odd. On my last day at the job, I received an email from Mona telling me there is a position for me, only to find oua few days later that position was filled. I never heard from Mona again and it's been 4 months since my job ended. read more

I thought it was worth writing an update to this review after Lacey disappeared once I was let go. The job was nothing of what it was described to be, but that wasn't her fault, nor was it QualStaff's. I realized things were going south when I noticed a call with QualStaff on my boss' calendar and reached out to Lacey. I covered it as a "30-day" check-in since I was nearing the one month mark. Well, the next morning I was let go (again, no one's fault at QualStaff). Did I ever hear from Lacey or anyone at QualStaff? No. She never returned my call, never sent an email, never expressed any disappointment that the role didn't work out, and never offered to work together to find another job. It's possible that my former employer left a negative review about me... but I'll never know because everyone went radio silent. She was so happy that I left a good review the first time and because I know what yelp reviews mean to small businesses I was happy to help and support. But I'm SO disappointed by their neglect. read more

I was contacted via LinkedIn by Mallorie about a position that she said I would be good for. She also included a link to her interview calendar and asked me to reserve a day/time to discuss the position. I reserved the soonest available opening which was the next day and cleaned up my schedule. The next day the scheduled time came and passed and Mallorie did not call or had the human decency to message me and provide some kind of explanation (the position is no longer available, we found another candidate who is better qualified for the position, I have no clue what I'm doing and I am embarrassed to call myself a recruiter etc.). I sent a follow-up message and as of now I haven't heard back, and I probably never will. Based on my experience I can only conclude that the positive reviews are fake, and if this is how they treat candidates that they contact I cannot imagine how they treat those who contact them in hopes to find a job. I first interviewed with QualStaff for a position that was unfortunately filled shortly after. Luckily for me, they kept me in mind and called me back in soon after for an interview at an even better position internally with the company. I started working for QualStaff as a temporary employee with the promise of a review for conversion to permanent in three months. They converted me to permanent a month ahead of time. The office has a very friendly environment and I've enjoyed my time here. I suggest the company to all of my friends who are looking for employment.
