Ordering is similar to Sushi Asahi in which that it's digital, but they give you a tablet to order from instead of your phone. Your orders go in a lot faster and you dont have to wait on staff to get the sheet. Amazing already. Even though it's a bit pricier than Sushi Asahi, they do have more options and they give you full rolls instead. I wish I had the option to do half-rolls because I wanted to try a lot of things. Sushi tastes great and their special rolls were interesting enough for me to try out. I tried every type of Sushi because I like trying new things. For their rolls I ended up getting their Asahi, Sour Candy, Okoku, and Las Vegas Roll. All of them were great and Sour Candy was my favorite with the lemon on top. It was pretty relaxed in there and the service was fast and efficient. This is definitely my go-to spot in Riverside for AYCE sushi.

The sushi was delicious and practically melted in my mouth. The rolls are a bit on the smaller side; usually one roll fills me up, but here I had to order two. I also really enjoyed the miso soup. The edamame was good, though a little too salty for my liking. Customer Service 5/5 Customer service was excellent! Our waitress was super friendly and welcoming, and I loved that she gave great recommendations. She really knew the menu, which is always a plus and so helpful when ordering, especially at a new spot. Loved, loved, loved it! Ambience 5/5 I was shopping at the thrift store next door and never expected the inside of this place to be so nice. It's a hidden little gem, the interior is beautiful, clean, and thoughtfully put together! Cleanliness 5/5 Super clean during my visit ! Wait Time 5/5 We were seated immediately, and since it wasn't busy at first, our food arrived quickly. Once it got a bit busier, the wait was longer, but still completely reasonable. Cost 4/5 It was a bit on the pricey side for the portion size, but considering the quality and flavor, it was understandable. Just keep in mind that rolls are around $20 each. Appetizers, like the spicy edamame, are $10, the miso soup was $4, and extras are listed on the back of the menu for an additional charge.

They were really accommodating for the little toddlers and babies in our group too. We started with the mussels which were delicious! I usually don't like shellfish but they were great. They had a specials menu that featured Kuushi oysters from Washington - we didn't get them but seeing them on the menu was a surprise because those are usually high quality oysters. I got the chicken teriyaki bento set which is about $24 and came with so much food - miso plus salad plus a half California or spicy tuna roll plus 4-piece veggie tempura. Everything was perfect in terms of portion size, temperature, taste and texture. Even my niece who is a pickly toddler ate and enjoyed a california rol. Everyone in our group loved their sushi. Everything was presented very beautifully and the fish was all fresh. The rice to fish and filling ratio was perfect, no too much rice. We ended our meal with a fried green tea ice cream which was fantastic and perfect to split amongst the four of us after all the delicious food before it. We met the owner who was a really nice guy too. Really surprised to find a solid sushi spot in the middle of the Riverside. I would not mind returning here anytime I'm back in the area!

When we ordered, we both ordered 1 specialty roll each. Food took a while to come out, and it was just...meh. Neither was really good, and both left us wanting...something. The price though, for 2 rolls was over $55. We could go to AYCE for just a little more and have had so much more variety and flavor! First time, and definitely last time. No thanks!

Pickup was quick and easy. I ordered the 69 Roll, OMG Roll, and Tsunami Roll. The fish was super fresh and not gamy at all, which I really appreciate. First Visit Experience…read more My wife and I tried Sushi R 91 in Riverside for the first time, and overall it was a good experience with a few areas that could be improved. I ordered the beef ramen, and the flavor was great. The beef tasted really good, and the broth had nice depth. I do wish they offered more condiments on the table so you can adjust the broth to your liking--spicy, savory, etc. My food took a little while to come out, but it ended up being worth the wait. The price was also a big plus: $13.99 for a bowl of ramen, a sushi roll, and a drink is a great deal. My wife ordered two rolls--the Salmon on Fire and the Caterpillar Roll. Both were tasty and comparable to what we've had at other sushi spots. We also tried the gyozas, which were average. Customer service could use some improvement. Our waitress wasn't rude, but she seemed rushed and tried to take our order almost immediately after we sat down. Since it was our first time, we needed a moment to look over the menu. Overall, the food and value were solid, but the service and small details could be better. I'd rate Sushi R 91 a 3.5 out of 5.
