We visited this place because we saw that it was top places to eat in Augusta. The service was good…read moreat first. We were greeted when we walked in and we took a look at the menu. It was our first time there since we were visiting from out of town so they gave us a few recommendations and we ordered our food. We then sat down at a table since it was self seating. We didn't get our waters until after our food was served which is fine I understand they get busy. The food didn't take too long. We ordered 3 dishes. The Down home, the banana nut, and an omelet with turkey sausage and veggies. Our server came to our table and served us 3 dishes. Which dish was which was not explained to us and we thought all our food was out already because after she served us she said "does everything look good" or something along those lines. The banana nut was obvious but we weren't sure what was the omelet or the down home because there was a small side of an omelet waffle which was just egg. We didn't know if any of the dishes came with a side of an egg omelet or if the dish was served as a mistake. I then bring the small omelet dish to our server. I asked what the item was or it was included in what we order and she looked at the dish and took it away and brought it back to the kitchen. She then took a look at our receipt and didn't really say anything or explained to us what the small side of egg waffle was. Didn't answer any of my questions and I never saw that small side of egg waffle again. Shortly after then our down home dish was served to us. It was just a confusing situation that I wish could've been handled better by communicating with us. As for the food, the pictures online are a bit misleading and on the expensive side for the quality. All the photos were taken right after it was served to us. I'd only order the omelet again. A bit lacking with the ingredients and needs sauce. The down home was too doughy for my liking and it's a mix of salty and sweet from the batter and ingredients. The banana nut it was very crispy and came with powdered sugar and a side of the glaze. I didn't taste much banana or saw any nuts on/in the waffle.

Then you round the corner and you see a coffee shop from the future. Clean edges, seamless setup, and the aroma of espresso bathe over you. My americano came out perfectly and, as always, I received complimentary smiles and welcoming conversations complimentary with my order. For now they are open Monday-Friday, starting at 7 am. I can only hope weekends are in the future. *Insider's Tip -Be aware there is no public parking. If you don't have a parking permit for the Cyber Center, you will need to find a spot at the Parking Deck (10th and Reynolds) or on Broad Street. -Security will give you a Visitor's badge when you come in. The coffee beans are roasted on site and the special blends are concocted and bagged for those that want to use them or give as gifts. The desserts are homemade. They taste like something your grandmother would make! The desserts often vary but typically you can always count on an amazing poundcake, coffee cake or coconut cake. There are usually 8-10 cakes, muffins and such to choose. The customer service is what will keep me returning. I am just amazed at how everyone was treated. Please go by there.
