He noticed that we had a drip on one of the faucets connected to the system, and took care also. I had RKM install a new AC unit(compressor and furnace/blower) in 2019. It has been a disaster since then. 2 years later my compressor went out and had to pay over 2k to get it fixed. Another 2 years later in 2023 I call RKM for routine maintenance and all of a sudden my AC stops working. Over the course of a week I had 4 different techs come out including the owner. Another 1k bucks later my AC was fixed. Fast forward to 1 week ago, my AC stops working again for the 3rd time in a 6.5 years. Due to my history with RKM I decided to call another company out that did an amazing job. They thuroughly explained to me how the shortcuts that were taken installing my unit were the reasons the water drainage line was backing up and triggering a safety switch. They also showed me how during my last "routine maintenance" RKM decided not to put a basic air filter that goes in my blower/furnace. Im not willing to accuse them of purposely doing this but when you get hired for a routine maintenance and end up charging 1k to fix the problem you created it sure looks badly. I have receipts to show all of this and I should be charging RKM for the competent work that was done to fix the shortcuts and possible sabotage that came from their techs. I had such a great experience with RKM Heating & A/C! Jay was awesome -- super friendly, professional, honest, and really knows his stuff. He came out for my heater maintenance and while he was here I asked him to flush out my tank-less water heater and asked him to clean my dryer vents when he comes back to replace a part on my heater. DO NOT CONTACT THEM We have used these guys for 10 plus years for their yearly maintenance. Has all been pretty good. Until this year. They sent some 'new guy' (their words) for pre-summer AC check. Guy was completely sketch. Made up issues as if we didn't know anything about heating/cooling. Basically said we needed a new cooling system. Listened to his ramblings then sent him on his way. Found out hours later he had disconnected the system. Called RKM to explain. They sent another guy out, who apologized for the 'new guy', connected the unit back to original.... and then told us we needed new system. This was back in the spring and we've been using AC with no issue for the past few months. Hey dum dums, this is exactly how you lose customers. Run from these imbeciles. read more

Pros: * Office team was friendly and professional. * Technician (Zack) was knowledgeable and quickly diagnosed the issue as a bad ignitor. Cons: * Was quoted $646 for the ignitor replacement ($616 with their membership). * Not overly pushy, but there was a clear upsell pitch for extra services. I'm giving 3 stars because while the team was solid and respectful, the price felt inflated. After Zack left, I called a friend who's been an HVAC tech for 20+ years. His immediate reaction? "Good thing you didn't pay that--it's way too much." He said ignitor replacements typically run $200-$500, and the part itself is usually $20-$50. I ended up buying the part myself, FaceTimed my friend, and had it replaced in under 10 minutes. Everything fired up perfectly--furnace working, warm air blowing. Great experience with RKM. They gave me a 4 hour window the technician would arrive and about thirty minutes before their receptionist called and let me know exactly when they'd arrive. Ron was delightful and very thorough. He even had shoe covers to not dirty up my house which was very appreciated. Wish more workers wore shoe covers like that. I became part of their maintenance plan after RKM came out to service my A/C unit this past summer in 2024. I got a reminder call to service my furnace and the tech came out for the scheduled appt. Sean spent a couple of hours checking parameters, replacing our filter, and cleaning our very dusty, caked-with-dog-hair blower. I felt he was thorough. He showed me pictures, parts, and explained areas of concern. We ended up needing to turn down the gas pressure on our furnace. After Sean's explanation, I authorized the work, but the pricing to me seemed high. It cost us $153 to turn down the pressure. The equipment is $40 on Amazon, but it's $113 more to pay for the knowledge of the tech and for him to turn the valve. That just seemed high to me. If someone reads this and can let me know if that's in the ballpark or not, please feel free to reply to me. I may be wrong and I'm ok with that. I don't mind being wrong. I just don't the feeling that I'm overpaying. 1 for being communicative about arrival time and for showing up on time. 2 's for thoroughness of work and explanation of findings. 1 for friendliness. read more

Rkm Heating And Air Conditing really good at minisplits. This is your guy I have had years and years of people coming and going oh you don't need to do anything mini splits or just you know this box you don't have to pay attention to why you got you do have to pay attention to them. You do have to clean them and if you don't clean them, you have a little things to start coming out of them and that's what happened to me. GET MULTIPLE QUOTES. It's unfortunate I have to write this review, but I feel a moral obligation to share my experience. We called RKM for HVAC maintenance on our new home we recently closed on. After they reviewed our HVAC system, they gave us a word salad of technical HVAC terms that they obviously know we don't understand, and then told us that we had major issues with our system. They told us our inspectors "sucked" for missing all of these issues. They quoted us $20k to "put a bandage" on our system to keep it working, or $50k to replace it in its entirety. They also threw our inspection company under the bus and told us to ask for a refund because they "clearly didn't look inside the attic" (which they did). At the time, my wife was under immense stress already from the move and from recently giving birth (which they knew about), and needless to say, this made her mental health significantly worse. They, of course, also sold us on their amazing financing programs to pay for this $50k replacement. At this point, I was getting very suspicious, because I know how much a brand new HVAC unit costs (I am a landlord). I reviewed their itemized quote for the $20k "bandage" on the system, which was essentially cleaning dirty components. We called two other HVAC companies to review our unit. They both looked at our system said there was absolutely nothing wrong with it. They also gave us a quote for a new unit, but they specifically said we really don't need it and that our unit should last another few years at least. They both quoted us around $12-15k for a brand new system. Don't let the good reviews fool you... these people are scammers. They should be on Inside Edition House of Shame (they catch scammer companies like these and publicize them on television). Its incredibly dishonest what they did... and to cause more stress to a woman who recently gave birth is just so awful. EDIT: Owner replied trying to claim the quote was inaccurate. I have receipts and yes, this is RKM on 6236 River Crest Dr. Your company split the payment between the upstairs and downstairs unit quoting about $25k per unit totaling to nearly $50k. The two other HVAC companies quoted $12-15k for both units. I am absolutely certain I am on the correct company's Yelp page. read more

First of all, the back office staff is amazing. Friendly and courteous and very helpful. They also called to notify me that the tech was on the way and sent name and photo which I really appreciated for safety reasons. James came out to check our water heater as we were told that there was a potential gas leak by the gas company. James completed a thorough assessment and got on the phone with the company for the water heater to go through all the diagnostics. He explained everything to me in detail. Ultimately there was nothing wrong with our water heater but it wasn't his fault. Front desk was professional and helpful, and a consultation was able to be performed same day. However, the technician that was sent out wasn't the best at his job. Firstly, he asked for the address and proceeded to go to the wrong house (there was no way he could've mixed the numbers up). Secondly, he took awhile to locate the correct residence even whilst giving him clear instructions. Thirdly, he was a bit passive and did not clearly communicate what exactly was wrong with the unit (he kept reiterating that it was old). The last straw was that he actually re-connected the wires wrong as was confirmed by a reputable and professional HVAC technician that we decided to repair our unit. RKM was a sore subject for me in the past but Jay is changing that for me. Was very helpful and informative on what was going on and what needs to be done. Would have been 5 stars of it wasn't for the previous encounters with others from RKM. Just had conversations with Terrence and the owner, wow I take back the good I said. Jay was great, everyone else, beware. They like to compare an AC system to car, like they are the same. When they installed the UV coverings of the lines on my roof, they didn't last. Tried to get me to pay for the upgrade after 2 years but they just did the same covering. They ensured me it would last this time for as long as I own the system but it didn't. Now they want me to thousands of dollars to fix it now. Just disappointed again. Blaming me for this as I knew this. Just terrible, needless to say won't be using them again. read more
