I want to start by saying that I hesitate at leaving a negative review whenever possible. However, I do feel that it is important to relay all types of experiences, whether positive or negative. I rely on Yelp for countless projects. Unfortunately, I did not have an opportunity to use Schneider heating and air because they never showed up for their appointment. It was scheduled during a 1 PM to 3 PM timeslot and, at 4:15 PM, I received a message saying that he was "20 minutes out" and "sorry for the delay". While irritated, I continued to wait but at 5:30 PM I wrote to him and told him to cancel. At this point, he apologized and said he was down the street, he would give me a great deal, etc. But I was in such a mood at that point that I just said cancel. I understand how difficult it is to do business nowadays, but as a customer, or even a potential customer, I didn't feel prioritized at all and didn't feel like I should have to reciprocate with my business. I do not doubt that this company has done an outstanding job in the past for other customers and quite possibly could've done a great job for me. On Saturday, September 6, 2025, we contacted Schneider Heating and Air through Yelp regarding our air conditioner. Mike came out the very next day, on a Sunday, to inspect the unit. After a thorough assessment, he honestly explained that while we would likely need a new system by the following summer, our current unit still had life left in it. Rather than pushing for a replacement, he recommended a repair and ordered the necessary part to keep it running. We received a text shortly afterward letting us know they could return on Monday to complete the installation. They arrived exactly when they said they would, installed the part, and got everything working properly. The entire process was quick, responsive, professional, and seamless. Fast forward to June 2026, and Mike was absolutely right. Our unit is now making the sounds he told us to expect when it reached the end of its useful life.
