Terrible service after spending tons of money with them. AC went down 2 months ago and had to purchase a new one. Spent $12,000 for a new condenser and furnace and install. Install took 10 hours ( longer than expected because they said someone idiot labeled a cable wrong...it was the same company, total comfort, that installed it) Fast forward 2 months after install. New unit is not cooling. Tech says the new unit is leaking coolant because they installed it incorrectly. Great. Tech says they fixed it. 2 weeks later same issue. Not cooling. I call for dispatch in Saturday (today) because this happened Friday night(yesterday). They tell me they want to charge me an emergency charge for the weekend. They didn't fix the issue the last time and now I have to wait until Monday. Don't use this company. Bad install and customer service. Too many issues after spending a ton of money. read more

Let me start off with this is a new system. Back in February of this year (2024) the heater wouldn't work, oddly during the night. They advertise 24/7 service and I'm under warranty. They never showed up. I called during the day they put me out a few days. One tech came out and adjusted some settings. Worked that day. At night, it didn't work again. Called after hours, they didn't come out. Came out the next day or so and the next technician adjusted the settings back to where it started. IGNORED exactly what I told him the previous technician did. Sure enough the system didn't work again. Long story short, I had to really go off on management to get a senior technician out who was able to diagnose the problem and he stated that the sensor is common for these new FAU systems. He recorded a video and stated would use it for training. Summer happened. The first sign of some cold weather, guess what? System doesn't work. Tech came out and said that same flame sensor needs to be replaced, haven't heard back from him. He stated the same thing, these new FAU systems tend to have this same problem so a lot of places stopped selling them. But he was able to diagnose a temp fix until the part comes in. Called last night, no response. Called this morning while it was 65 degrees in my home which asthmatic children, the "on/call" technician and back up technicians were paged. No responses. But they advertise 24/7 service and great customer service....... read more

I have had total comfort out before as they were the company that installed our system for the contractor to work on noise issues from the AC condenser unit that they were able to get fixed. As we are approaching the winter season and temperatures are getting colder I wanted to get annual maintenance done on the FA heating unit it is especially important to keep your condensation drain line clear and cleaned out as we had them get plugged up in our old house and caused a leak in the ceiling. I had them add cleaning tabs in the drain pans and they also blew out the drain lines to keep them clean and clear. One thing that is very important to do. Mark was our technician and was very polite and explained everything he performed on our system. He made a few adjustments and cleaned one of the sensors to keep everything running at peak performance and efficiency HAVE YOUR SYSTEM MAINTENANCE DONE ANNUALLY or pay hundreds later for letting it go I would recommend Total comfort to family and friends Hope this helps read more

I NEVER have reviewed a company before but I am shocked at the dishonesty in their pricing. First let ne say their service man is nice and proficient. But, all I needed was a switch and it's going to wind up costing me almost $400!. When I called the office for a price breakdown the woman could not tell me the price of the switch, and basically said this is what you agreed to- we don't work for free. $Almost $400 including diagnostic visit ---for a switch. I have lived in Corona for 26 years and my A/C unit recently broke down during a heat wave. Total Comfort came to my rescue within hours of calling them. The professional job performed by the technicians was phenomenal. They went above and beyond in every way possible. The job was completed by a fantastic group of young workers - they stayed late into the night until the work was done and gave us a portable A/C unit in the interim. I pre-ordered the new Nest Hello directly from Nest back in February 2018. Once the device released in mid-March, they sent me an email that I am eligible for free Nest Pro Installation. I used the Nest Pro finder and contacted a couple Nest Pros in my area. The first one that responded happened to be Total Comfort. They set up an appointment to install my Nest Hello pretty quickly. The technician that they sent to my home a couple weeks ago was Edwin G. He arrived right on time for the appointment and was super professional. He also expertly installed the Nest Hello and ensured I understood how it works. Overall, Total Comfort and Edwin were absolutely amazing. Our A/C went out last week, during the HOTTEST week....108° day! I called Total Comfort at 5am, by 6am someone was calling me back to set an appointment with me for the same day while other companies I called were scheduling me for an appointment 2 WEEKS OUT! Ever have that feeling your current repair house is selling you a bill of goods?? I did I had my a/c serviced and revived conflicting reports about my unit. I contacted Total Comfort to request a new service call on my unit. Sure am glad I did!! I needed a new part to make my unit work perfectly!! Apparently it had been doing a hard start every time it went on and that wasn't good for it. While the tech was here I asked him to check the airflow in my problem room. Rather than tell me there is cool Air coming out of the register he actually looked at the ductwork for a blockage I need to have a tech come back out to finish that inspection-my 6ft tall tech couldn't squeeze into that little shop behind the unit. This is the second time total has repaired what another company said was fine. Next time my first and only stop is Total Comfort!!! read more

I called them out due to a leaking water heater and a toilet that would not stop running. The worker that showed up was very friendly and told me that I basically needed a new water heater. I declined to replace the water heater at the time. I am giving this company one star because when he checked my toilet he said that I simply needed a new flapper to repair my total, and wanted to charge me $100!! I'm sorry but that is an absurd amount to charge for a part that is less than $10. I did the job myself. This company seems to push sells and overcharge customers. I called this company last week and scheduled an appointment for today between 9-11. They said a technician would text me in the morning with an ETA At 1030 I hadn't heard anything so I called the office. First she said they had me scheduled for 12 to 2. Next, she said the technician called off sick and no one else could make it today, or any other day this week! I can understand staff call out sick, but they could have called me in the morning to tell me, so I could go to work. They could have fit me in after work, or the weekend, but no offers to accommodate. Just an im sorry. So, I lost an entire day of vacation time. This company has no consideration for my time. Very angry based on my recent experience with Total Comfort. They installed the HVAC system in my new build home, so when my heater went down this season, I called to have them come out and troubleshoot. Quoted my wife a price for the service call and the fix, which included a part covered under warranty, that we agreed to. The part needed to be ordered, so we scheduled time the following week for the service to be done. Today the tech arrived late, with no call or notice, and now said that we misunderstood the price that he quoted and it is going to be more expensive. Very unprofessional and feels like a total bait and switch. Shame on me for trusting their price without getting it in writing. Based on the time spent onsite, this is labor charges of almost $500 per hour!! I would have had someone else do the work for this price. Don't recommend. read more

I've spent thousands of dollars on repairs on and off even had a membership. Then realize after going to the attict to replace the air filter to find out how bad this company really is and bad at what they do. After getting my ducts rearranged a while ago I guess the tech decided to cover the blower area they moved the duct from with duct tape instead of a metal sheet. This whole entire time my family has been breathing attic insulation possibly getting cancer. Not including the tape constantly fell inside the blower causing it to make a sound so I called them they charged me to replace the motor they broke. Horrible company. I would want my money back and more. The only reason I went to the attic is to replace the whole home filter they sold me to elliviatte the dust they created with the open duct area. read more

We recently used them again and we had quick service, everyone was super polite, truthful and straight to the point. No one has ever tried to push sales or overprice service. More like zero stars. I have no other option than to use this company because they installed the system in my home and no other companies will touch our AC system because it was improperly wired. I had another company confirm the thermostat was bad and needed to be replaced. I told Total Comfort this and was told they "don't take into account what other AC companies say and would have to pay them $119 so they could diagnose themselves." When I made the appt I was told someone would be out between 0800-100. At 0800 I received a call saying someone would be there between 0900-1100 and they would "see me in two hours." 1100 came and went, when I called I was then told my appointment was between 1100-1300 and they don't know why I was told it was earlier after not one, but two people confirmed the earlier time. Well 1300 came and went and guess what, nobody came. All I got was well they are busy on another job and won't be out for another 1-2 hours. When the tech finally arrived, he just looked at the thermostat dumbfounded and pulled it off the wall a few times before calling the thermostat company to confirm what I already told them was the issue, a bad thermostat. I called to dispute the charge and instead of admitting they are wrong, the woman wants to sit there and argue about the driver's gas and time. You mean the 5 minutes he just stood there and then called on the phone, something I could have done and got the issue resolved much quicker. Joke of a company!!!! read more

We had a new system installed three and a half years ago and it stopped cooling. They sent a tech out and charged us $80 or so to diagnose the problem. Once they figured out it was a leak in the inside coil, we scheduled a date to replace it under the 5 year warranty. I had assumed the warranty on labor was only one year which meant about $1,000 in cost to us, but the tech wanted to call in and check just to be sure. It turns out that the sales rep that sold us the system, who I believe was the owner, actually gave us 5 years on the labor also. So, the total cost to us was $0. They even refunded the original $80 charge to test the system. It's nice to find a company that goes out of their way to deal honestly with their customers. As an update, just one week before the end of the 5 year warranty, there was a leak in the outside unit and it needed to be replaced. Once again, it was replaced completely free of charge. Also, for the reviewer that suggested they have a problem with the BBB, I checked their site and there are a total of 2 resolved complaints over the past 3 years and they have an A rating as of 3/12/2015. It's a shame people feel the need to come on Yelp and lie, but that is often the case when someone only creates a profile and only writes one review. read more
