Earliest appointment offered is 2 weeks out. Unacceptable! Service request sent to AHS for AC which suddenly stopped cooling the upstairs. Outside temperatures were over 100 this week. The thermostat is reading 83-91 in the bedrooms, including the childrens' (one of whom has medical issues). Was scheduled 2 weeks out for initial DIAGNOSTIC despite a contract obligation to AHS to schedule within 5 days and kindly requesting an earlier appointment. read more

If I could give this company a big fat ZERO, I would. I took a half day of work off to be home for my appt window of 12-5pm. I called 3 times to check the status of the Technician. I was told he would text me when he was on his way. I never received a text. At 7:10pm I receive a voicemail from the Tech, saying he was knocking on my door. I called the office at 7:14, 7:18 and spoke to him at 7:19 for him to tell me he waited 5 minutes and left. I asked him to come back and he said he was on the freeway, about 15 minutes away. I was referred to this company by AHS and disappointed. Where to begin with this company. A big disappointment was their lack of communication. Although Imade appointments in advance , no one communicated or confirmed. Then, I had multiple people come out to service my system for a sizable job and each time I had to explain what was wrong because no one spoke to each other. I had ductwork done and an ENTIRE DUCT was missed and wasn't connected. Again, more people came out and didn't communicate, had to explain multiple times what the issue was. When it was repaired other items were damaged. When I asked about who was repairing the damage, again no one communicated and was asked "what damage?". The cherry on top, I get a call from a supervisor checking in on the work of the missed duct, he begins to blame the builders of the house. When I ask about the damage done and when it will be fixed, you guessed it, the response, what damage? Was told we'll get back to you, and it's been silence since. I ended up with ServLegacy through an American Home Shield (AHS) call and I am so glad I did. I had two, 21 year old AC units and both went down during a heat wave. ServLegacy quickly sent a tech, Andres, out to see what my issue was. Both units needed parts and when you have AHS there is always a delay in getting things, so you're stuck with your issue until parts arrive, appointments are rescheduled, etc. I decided it was time to replace my old units and ServLegacy had a Sales Manager, Randi Carbajal, to my home within 30 minutes. Randi is simply excellent - the best - and he gave me all options including a discounted price plan through AHS to replace the units with similar equipment. I decided to upgrade to their Daikin system and after all is said and done, I am extremely glad I did! These units condition the air so the house feels "different" right when you walk in and I find I'm setting temperatures 5 degrees warmer than with my old units, though the house feels cooler. Everything is connected to my phone and I can even adjust the humidity level in the house if I want to. These things are really pricey, but I can tell you they are absolutely great - no regrets on my end! Now a few comments about install etc. David and Hugo showed up the next morning and immediately went to work as equipment began arriving. This job was absolutely major surgery - to remove and replace two entire AC/Heat systems, one ground mount and the other in my attic, and I asked if they thought they could get it done in a day. Without hesitation, David said, "were the A Team, we'll get it done." They did not leave my house until 10 PM and except for some fine tuning, both units were working, outstanding. While they worked, Caesar and Eric arrived and cleaned all my HVAC vents/tubes so I'd start fresh with my new system - these guys were excellent as well - respectful in their demeanor and how they treated my home. Caesar is clearly very knowledgable and observed a couple things on initial equipment startup that needed to be adjusted. He and Eric both came back the next day, stayed late and fined tuned everything on my new units, including installing an additional return air in one of my bedrooms that typically ran a bit warmer than other rooms. Perfect install, attention to detail, pride in his work, just excellent. On the next day, "Rick" arrived to hook up the new heater exhaust vents and displayed the same attention to detail and work ethic as every single employee I dealt with from ServLegacy. Last and finally, "Delaney" came and gave the entire system a final check. Once again, clear attention to detail and work ethic - this young man was raised correctly. Anyone still reading this might wonder if I have some prior connection to this company - I do not. Never met or heard of any of them prior to this job. I'm taking the time here because it is very rare these days to run across folks who actually do what they say and care about the quality of their work. This all happened in the middle of a heat wave and they still made it all come together. I'll close with this - ServLegacy is a very busy company and rightfully so; I feel like they've earned it. I mention this because when customers are spending large amounts of money (like in my case) it can be stressful if you don't immediately get a call back etc. Be patient! They will not leave you hanging and specifically toward Randi - he is absolutely an honest man who cares about his customers and if he says he will do something, he will do that very thing! I previously submitted a review detailing a horrible event where I was recommended a new AC for $20,000. After pressure from a friend I got a second opinion and a technician from a different company came and fixed the AC two yours later by replacing the capacitor and adding refrigerant. I reached out to my warranty company American Home Shield for follow up and it was then that I realized they were never consulted by ServLegacy. ServLegacy went around my warranty and tried to sell me a $20,000 HVAC system direct. I removed my previous reviews from google and yelp because I thought the company had integrity and cared about their customers and wanted to resolve the issue. Now I realized they are still in the business of dishonesty and manipulation according to a detailed response from American Home Shield regarding the results of their investigation. Apparently, ServLegacy has lied AGAIN and said I opted for a brand new HVAC system FOR MY TENANTS because I wanted a "quieter, newer system." That is appalling! Why would a single mother who serves in the United States Air Force Reserve volunteer to purchase a $20,000 for renters for the sake of a quieter and newer system? Anyone with common sense can tell that sounds fishy. They are still being dishonest in the fact that after they tested my AC system they determined the compressor failed and I would either have to wait up to 3 months for a REFURBISHED one that may not work or purchase an entirely new system. THAT IS WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED. They gave me a false choice to begin with and said there was NOTHING they could do to get the AC working that night. I had to risk a small baby in the home overheating. So I made the only choice I thought I had based on Servlegacy's recommendation and diagnosis on site. I refuse to speak to ServLegacy anymore at this point. I will not remove my Better Business Bureau complaint and I will now proceed with contacting the state and county as soon as I get their license information. By the way, I recorded every phone call and I have witnesses to the work ServLegacy performed and the recommendation they gave. All they had to do was be honest. DO NOT USE ServLegacy aka Pinedo Air Conditioning and Heating. They gave us FRAUDULENT QUOTES for repairs on our system ranging from $20K to $38K! They stated that it as rat infested and all the ducts and insulation needed to be replaced. JOSE PINEDO and his team preyed upon the fears of a young pregnant mother! In addition, she was told that in order to ensure proper operation and safety for the small children in the home, it would be best to replace the WHOLE SYSTEM, which was top end quote of $38K! Mind you, the system was installed in 2021 and was working fine. We were only seeking maintenance! Jose and his team pushed the sell and made it seem urgent, telling my daughter NOT TO TURN ON THE SYSTEM! Of course, they wanted her to use their financing! Thank God we sought out quotes from other REPUTABLE COMPANIES!! The other companies indicated that we only needed a maintenance and a few minor repairs, our system was fine, no ducts or systems needed to be replaced, no rat feces in the ducts and to call a pest control company to put out a few traps and everything would be fine. Jose Pinedo and team, there's a very special place for predators, especially those that prey on pregnant females with small children. Working under two different business names: Pinedo Air and ServLegacy is the first RED FLAG here: Jose Luis: Your BS explanation from "google" raises even more concerns for me. At no point BEFORE installation did you clearly explain that my ductwork would need to be replaced in order for the unnecessary new system (You upsold me into) to function best or that i would be having these type of problems that i am now having, and experiencing BEFORE you took my existing HVAC system apart. (Which i only had for 9-10 years). If the ductwork was truly incompatible with the system YOU recommended, it was your professional responsibility to advise me of this and to have put this in writing BEFORE proceeding with doing any work. My ducts are less than 12 years old. You know very well my ducts are not 20 years old. Your are unprofessional to lie to customers to get them to agree to get an unnecessary new system, its all money for you then you leave us with a system that is not livable or usable, i cant even use the AC, because its way too strong! So you robbed me for money, left me with a system i cant even use, when my previous system worked perfectly! All you were called for was to diagnose my heater, and why it was not turning on at the end of winter, instead of fixing the heater, you upsell me into an unnecessary whole new system and now you will not come to try to adjust the speed or try to come and resolve the power or control how strong the air flow is? You just ignore me and American Home Shield to resolve this issue! This is how you do business seriously? You don't care about any of your customers?
