As fate would have it, I was talking with the owner who listened to the situation, asked me several questions that were technical related, then got in his vehicle at his Riverside location and drove to my Fontana home within 40 minutes. Once arrived, he was able to identify the problem, which was electrical related, and had the air back on within 30 minutes. He determined that there was no leak of refrigerant at all, but a simple electrical problem. Angel and his team replaced a 20-year-old central air and heating system during the last heat wave of 2024, and the results have been excellent. My electricity bill is down by a third or perhaps even more compared to last year at this time. He thoroughly inspected both the supply and return ducts from under the crawlspace and through each vent inside the house, and after determining that the damage was just to the outer lining he patched it up quickly and didn't even charge me a standard service fee. Fantastic install and customer service!! I must recommend Angel's Air to everyone. Professional from start to finish and beyond! The install was super clean and runs perfectly. The attention to detail to fully insulate the condenser/furnace area was impressive. At one point our heater wouldn't fire because of an electronic fault, which turned out to be a sensor that had been dirtied by the burn-off process. Angel came as soon as possible and fixed the error with no charge. The price for the system was leagues below quotes from two other local companies. They were very responsive and within an hour of my initial contact I had an appointment for a few days later. I did not have an emergency, so waiting was not a problem. Angel's Air is the best! A few years ago my AC kept going out during some serious heat waves. Angels Air came to the rescue. Angel got my AC back up and running. He did recommend I change my 25 year old unit, but wasn't pushy whatsoever. 2 years later my AC went out again. Again, Angel came up with a few options. At the end of the day I decided to just replace the unit. The next day Angel and his crew were here replacing my unit, changing my air ducts, cleaning, refitting, and sealing. My last review of Angel was five stars, but when my AC went out again the following week and I called him back out, I was very upset. He told me my compressor was shot and I would need an entirely new unit on the outside for nearly $7,000. I decided to get a second opinion (which I did). Now, I can't know that what Angel did the week before was shoddy work or what some repairmen call "locking in repairs," but I will say that two different people told me that what Angel did may have been "locking in repairs." Angel had replaced a fuse which was $123. I was told by others that the compressor is what most likely would make the fuse go out and that he should have also known that the breaker wasn't big enough for the AC either (which kept tripping). They also told me that refrigerant leaks are the most common cause of compressor problems, but Angel certainly didn't tell me that might have been the issue. In any event, I had to install a new AC unit inside and outside which I absolutely cannot afford. If Angel had been better or taken more time or something, he would have known there was a bigger issue than just replacing a fuse. I hate giving less than five star reviews, bit I have to in this situation. read more
