This is one of my favorite grills to eat at they literally have the best wings and great sweet and the all of the staff are very friendly.

Sara, the server, was incredibly rude. Apparently you need a phone to use the menus there, and when I told her I didn't have a phone, she said, "You're just going to be all kinds of trouble." I was about tell that didn't appreciate her saying something rude like that to me, but she interrupted me with "Can I take your drink order." She interrupted me twice, so it wasn't a mistake. When she finally brought 1 menu for 2 people it was nothing burgers and chicken sandwiches. I was hoping for a tuna wrap or a ham croissant and some hot chips, none of those ideas were on the menu. We just decided to leave. What's the point in spending good money on bad service and food you don't even want? read more

This is my go-to restaurant. They have a very diverse selection of food, all of which is very good. Their potato salad and mac and cheese are two side which are particularly good. Service is usually pretty good, although it can be a tad slow if you are outside of the bar area on a slow day. All in all, it's good "pub fare". I would definitely recommend it. read more

The jury is still out! The best thing I can say about this sports bar is the employees and owner are very nice and the service is always good. The menu has a wide variety of choices but the food is so-so and overpriced. I've only been a couple of times but will go back b/c of the service, it's close to home and there is a lot more I can try. read more

Awful experience, I came to the restaurant when it was almost empty, placed my order and sat there for an hour , before my food arrived. 8 tables that , that were seated after me all got their food, finished and some left before I had a chance to eat. It took two interventions with the waitress to expedite my order. What is even worse is the owners response when he finally brought the food out. When my boyfriend asked why it took so long he just barked "want me to get you a beer?". What a derogatory behavior!! I almost wonder if it was because we were a mixed couple! Waitress Jessica used to ask us for extra cash on each shift. We finally had to stop going to avoid her. It was just too much. Current owner is saying that she has not worked there for a year, but that is not accurate. She was definitely still working there during the change. Rixster Grill is a favorite when I'm in High Point! My favorite part of the menu is the chicken salad. The chicken salad plate during the day and chicken salad sandwich on the night menu. The Turkey Reuben is pretty great, too! Tip: The potato salad side comes with about a quarter slice of bacon unless you request otherwise. The look of the interior is very nice, and they have always been very attentive when I have been seated at the bar (I have never tried a table) The only thing I would add would be more local North Carolina brews! read more

This evening me, my wife and our four year-old went to try the Rixster Grill for the first time. As with any other restaurant, we were guided to a table, sat down, ordered drinks, food, etc. As the restaurant began to fill up, I noticed an African-American couple pleasantly sitting at their table in the middle of the dining area who had not yet been served. (They we're there before us.) A white couple soon sat at the table next to them. Within a few minutes, a white-haired gentleman (who may have been the owner) attended to the white couple while the black couple were still waiting for someone to acknowledge them. After a few more minutes, the black couple waved the hostess over (presumably to ask if they could be served). By this time, our food came. The owner eventually spoke with the African-American couple and a few moments later they left without ordering. By that point, a number of other patrons had sat down and been both acknowledged and reasonably attended to. My disappointment is not with the food. For standard bar fare, it was good. Very good, actually. I simply have no tolerance for real or perceived racism or differing treatment of any kind in any establishment we frequent. That's not how we would like our friends to be treated and we will happily take our business elsewhere. read more

Two stars for Rixster's Grill because the service was quite poor and the food really wasn't that good. Even though we were one of two tables in the restaurant the waitress still failed to wait on us. Both of our drinks went dry more than once and when she finally realized it she said she'd be right back with a refill which didn't happen until WAY later. She also brought the appetizer and entrees out at borderline the exact same time. After she finally came back with the refill we asked her to just bring the check because we had been finished with the food for about 10 minutes. I had the chicken salad wrap (asked for the croissant which was on the menu but apparently they no longer serve) and I must say, I am a LOVER of all chicken salads good and questionable but I ate about three bites of it. The chicken chunks were MASSIVE and not easy to chew which paired with a total lack of flavor made it not worth the effort. Now, I will say, their Mac and Cheese is DANK!! Y'all that stuff will make you sing the hallelujah chorus. The husband got the Reuben and potato salad. Reuben was thumbs up and potato salad two thumbs down. Just stick with the Mac. The prices were reasonable and the portions are big but even that delicious Mac won't be enough to make me visit this place twice. read more

Drinks are good and affordable but the food sucks. This is my third time here and I've been disappointed with the food each time. Hot wing sauce was strange. Wings tasted chewy. Well from the minute I drove up and walked in and got my seat at the bar, I was happy! Great vibe with sports on the TV, great tunes on the jukebox, drink specials, outstanding food (not just for a bar but just overall, great) and spectacular service! Stopped in today and I ordered the nachos with chicken. Although they are different from any I've ever had, they were the best I've had. They pour queso over them which made me not really need the sour cream, but the other thing that made them extra wonderful were the nacho chips. If I had to describe them, the texture and taste remind me of the tortilla shell that taco salads come in in Mexican restaurants. They are light and airy and just plain yummy. read more

Stopped in on NYD before heading back to VA. We were pleasantly surprised. Service was great and food was delicious. We got potato skins and split a Philly cheesesteak. They were both great!!! Stopped in for a quick lunch. Ended up buying two courses. This place has fantastic flavor. Great burgers. Great appetizers. The atmosphere is pretty neat too. It's definitely got a sports bar feel, but the actual style of the place is on par. They'll definitely separate you from the rowdy sports fans which is nice. Went there for dinner. We (2) persons seated and eventually waiter came to our table. Noticed lots of people waiting on food. Once our order was taken, we did not see our waiter for 15 minutes. At the 30 minute mark we saw our waiter and asked about why noone was getting their food? She said they were working on it. At 40 minutes our table and another table decided that was long enough. Best restaurant for grilled fish salmon and tuna for the price. Owner could charge double for the fish as is of great quality and freshness. Server Ashley is great. Really all the servers I have had in the 20 times that I have been there are fabulous. Owner comes around to ensure satisfaction. He is extremely nice and caring fella. My boyfriend and I went here a few nights ago. They had customers but were not busy, we stood at the door for a least 5 minutes waiting on someone. A few servers walked past us to their tables not speaking. We ended up leaving. I'm not sure if we will be back. We have enjoyed the food here before but the greeting has been a problem from day one. I read the reviews and wasn't sure what to expect. I went for a Friday after work dinner. Definitely a casual divey sports bar atmosphere (tvs are everywhere); it was pretty loud but I still enjoyed it. Great friendly and attentive wait staff; but not hovering like some places. Decent selection of reasonably priced beer. Here's the order Appetizer: Fried mozzarella sticks with marinara dipping sauce; the batter was really good but too much salt in it (reduce it and it would be awesome). Sadly the marinara was watery and tasteless (I wouldn't call it marinara at all; more like canned chopped tomatoes watered down). The appetizers are pretty pricey....as much as many of the main dishes. Dinner: Bacon cheese burger with hand cut fries. This was a great tasting grilled burger that was cooked perfectly. The burger is slightly larger than what you get at fast food but not very meaty. I feel it was a little over priced for what was delivered even so it was still tasty. Lots of fries that were lightly salted and tasted good Overall it was okay. Great people, decent food. read more
