We come here every once in a while when we just need a commercial dryer to handle super bulky loads: sleeping bags, dog beds, etc. Clean, quiet, convenient location with about 145 washers a 60 dryers of varying sizes. Prices vary based on washer and dryer size: extra large washer will cost about $8.50 for a load; $9.50 if extra soiled. Large dryers start at 50¢ for 6 minutes. Never seen this place so busy that you have to wait for a waher or dryer. The only thing that was unusual this time is that it seems quite a few of the washers and dryers were out of order. Fortunately for us, this afternoon there were maybe 4 other people here so finding a working washer and dryer was not an issue. Wish this place had a bar though read more

**AVOID THIS PLACE - SERIOUS RED FLAGS.** From the start, there were no signs indicating that the only way to pay was to load a card, as the machines don't accept quarters or credit cards. After loading money onto the card, I realized I wouldn't use it all since I'm not from the area and won't be returning. When I asked the front desk for a refund of the balance, the man there told me he "can't do anything." When I asked "so I'm just shafted" , he bluntly replied, "Yep." After loading my clothes into my car, I asked him where the signs were about refunds, to which he said, "You have to assume that when you use the machine." He confirmed that there were no signs anywhere stating that you wouldn't get unused funds back. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I asked for a manager or contact information to resolve this, he ignored me, grabbed the amount on the card (but not the deposit) and aggressively threw the cash toward us. He didn't place it on the counter--he threw it to the ground in front of us, then stormed off into a staff-only area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I have never encountered someone more rude and unfit for their job. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Two other employees witnessed this and ignored us when we asked for his name after he left. They turned away as if we weren't there, refusing to acknowledge our questions.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Based on other reviews I missed beforehand, this seems to be a recurring issue here. Many machines were out of order, prices were steep, and inconsistencies in the washing machines' timing added to the frustration. Despite using the same size washers, settings, amount of clothes, and amount of soap, one cycle ran for 27 minutes while another ran for only 19. This place is a complete scam. They make you use a laundry card, but then refuse to refund any of the money you load onto it. It's essentially theft, and they don't even bother to warn you about it. Unlike most other laundromats, which either refund your money or at least advise you not to load too much, this place just takes your cash without a second thought. Our dryer went out and I was told that this laundromat just opened up. I was told that instead of being coin operated they actually use laundry cards that you can reload for the machines. It helped because I neglected to stop by the bank and I always have that card on me. I loaded $20 and there was a $1 fee for the card. We had 4 loads and used the smaller machine that cost $4 for 9 minutes. We then used the dryers that were $.25 for 6 minutes but had to 24 minutes to get fully cleaned. So basically we used all $19 on the card. They also sell supplies if you need them. I did look at their laundry service and it seemed really popular and we might use it next. I know it is going to take some time before getting a new dryer so glad I was told about this laundry mat. They are also really close to the Bread Basket if you wanted to stop and grab snacks. read more

Large facility with plenty of washers and dryers but the prices were higher than other laundromats I've used recently. I would have also preferred coin-op machines as opposed to the card swipe thing, because you have to pay a dollar just for the card. read more

I used to love coming here the prices were better with the other owner. But since he sold it to the folde company doesn't keep the washateria clean and all of their employees park in front of washateria, I think they should park farther so their customers with clothes can have the opportunity to park in the front so it would be easier for us to unload and load clothes. I hope they fix the problems because I have been coming here since they open and I like this location. The only good thing about the place is they have one employee he is a black man that works here and has great customer service and is very friendly and outgoing. I have used this Washateria several times to wash bulky items like my queen size bed covers and I find that the large washing machines and dryers are very efficient. I also like the staff that are there to help you. One name stands out and her name is Juanita, she took time out from what she was doing twice to help me, determine the right amount of detergent and the settings for the dryer's that I had to use so they wouldn't be ruined. I had to leave for about 30 minutes which turned into 45 minutes, but she assured me that everything would be OK when I got back. When I got back everything was there like she said, and all of the staff are very helpful and you can't go wrong by going there. Thanks Juanita for making my day a little less stressful. read more

I would give 2.5 stars if that was an option. I've been using this laundromat since it opened. Initially it was great-clean, spacious, well maintained, reasonably priced. Ownership has changed hands to "The Folde". The Folde also has laundry service that's picked up and delivered to customers. Folde employees monopolize machines, and machines are not promptly emptied for other customers to use. Watching the employees horse around and waste time is annoying. I don't go to the laundromat for fun! Get your stuff done and get it out of machines. Prices have increased. Washers don't spin out as much water, so drying times have increased. Good for owner, bad for customers. I'm going to give Kyle location a try. Fingers crossed. read more

I've been coming here for a year with no issues that I knew of. Someone told me that the washing machines don't give you the full time but I never noticed. I was washing at the 11330 Menchaca location & I saw the machine jump from washing to draining then extracting the water. It did not rinse. It was like on 15 minutes & jumped to 3 minutes I tried to explain this to the older woman that working at the time but she was rude. She would not give me her managers name or her name. All I wanted was for her to restart my wash so it could rinse. But she said it wasn't her problem. Then acted like she didn't know English. I tried to call the number on the website to see if there was a way to contact the manager, not realizing it went straight to the washateria, the woman would answer then hang up. If something is wrong with the washers, people need to know. And they should know if their clothes are getting clean thoroughly. Hopefully I will hear something back from management since I did find a contact email. read more

Rude staff particularly David R who works for the Folde verbally assaulted me for complaining and then got in my face as I turned to leave he then physically assaulted me as I left with my back turned who followed me into the parking lot assaulted me. They don't refund the difference on the deposit which must legally be returned. As I was leaving was verbally assaulted by staff for complaining about the policy I started leaving and They then followed me into the parking lot and shoved me there too. Don't go here it's a deposit scam and staff are rude. I am taking this to a prosecutor in the morning. They will keep the difference on the card and refuse to return the deposit which has no policies attached. Scam to just get free money. Also the dryers don't run as along as advertised. They act as though they are a separate business but it's all the same. I will hold them liable. They use paid or staff reviews to make th place look good otherwise they'd have no positive reviews. Also the folde staff use up the entire laundry mat and use all the carts and tables so you're forced to haul everything around by hand.... read more

It's a nice laundrymat. The only the thing I hate is that the business next to them, Folde, go in do their business during business hours there. It wasn't packed before, but lately, it's been packed with Folde employees durong their work. They take up ALOT of the washing machines and dryers. They also take up A LOT of tables to fold. I went on a Thursday night and NEVER again. I think I counted about 11 Folde employees. I had to wait to use a dryer machine. I dread coming here because of that, but the place is usually clean that's why I haven't gone anywhere else. I will begin to lool for another place though because it's too crowded with Folde employees. read more

Last week I went to drop off some clothes to be washed. My washer broke over the weekend. Thinking it would be more convenient to just drop off a load and come back the next day I picked this place since it's close to home. While there I noticed it was clean! Not busy in the 5 o'clock hour in a weekday. The lady helping me did struggle with making me an account. I was there for at least 10 minutes while she figured it out. I paid $32 or so. The next day I picked up my clothes on the way home. While handing me my clothes the lady was tying the bag up and I asked why it was open and she stated that they had a mix up earlier in the day and were checking my bag to make sure someone else's clothes weren't in there. She carried out the bag to my car and before I left I decided to check my bag. I was missing clothes!! I went back in and she had me check other bags to see if they were mine. And I did find my clothes. When I got home and started putting my clothes away there was a smell like wet clothes that had been left and dried. There was also other clothes that weren't mine mixed in. I called and emailed to speak to a manager but no one has yet to contact me back. It was a waist of money as I still have dirty clothes that needs to be washed cause I doubt it was washed right the first time based off the smell of the cloths. Our dryer broke this week. So, I washed up all of our clothes and loaded them up to dry at this new Washateria around the corner. The website says they are open until 11pm. I called to be sure, as it was close to 10. It was very hard to communicate with the lady who answered. This was not the problem, I am able to speak enough broken Spanish to communicate about their services and times of operation. They were already closed. It was not even 10pm yet. 4 wet loads of all of our clothing. School clothes. All pants. Please update your hours of operation. read more
